Pam kicked open the door to her shoddy apartment with an exhausted look in her eyes.
"America sucks," was all she could muster in her native Autrian tongue just before she collapsed on her couch. The pathetic piece of lumpy furniture groaned in protest as she sat down. Ever since her commanding officer betrayed her and left her stranded a month ago she had been working her tail off in order to live in this awful smelly motel. She had served under commander Byrne for 2 years, and do think that the moment she was discovered to be a meta he would put her to death... it still mystified her to this day. Pam flicked on the TV and snoozed as she let her programs run. She sat there for a half hour in her half asleep state until the tone of the channel suddenly changed. At first she didn't notice, too tired to open her eyes.

"The girl you are seeing is Ruby Greenfoot. She is a weapon that the government tried to control but erupted in their face. She is wanted for several accounts of murder, man-slaughter and cyber-crimes. She is capable of accessing and stealing any digital information known to man."
That piece of information shot Pam up to attention. Pamela had spent her time in America dealing with metas, but her work mostly involved peace keeping and understanding. She speak to metas and try to solve domestic disputes. Her main role was that of negotiation, and she found that most metas wished that they had never been given abilities to begin with. Most metas tried to lead ordinary lives. But if this broadcast was to be trusted... there were some metas out there abusing their powers for their own gain. Pam didn't approve of that.

"The second you see is Elijah Craigh, a beast with the power to burn this city to ashes. Both are fully willing to kill, as you can see." Pam watched the available footage of carnage being wrought upon innocent civilians. She stiffened up, realizing that this matter was getting more and more serious. Ever since Pam had gotten her powers she had taken free time to practice using them. Experimenting with them and learning how they worked.. but she had never dared to use them outside of very isolated and safe places. These two individuals were abusing their powers, and giving all metas a bad name. She had to do something. Pam turned off the television and made her way to her closet. She pulled out some of the few items she owned in America; her jumpsuit, a helmet, mask and a pair of roller blades that she had bought in order to experiment with her abilities. Hidden in a box in the back corner was 200 US dollars and Pam's dog tags.

If she wanted to act, she would need to find the central area for Meta issues. LA seemed like the place to be, but she really had no idea where that was. She pulled out a map she had tucked away and looked it over. That's a 10 hour trip... by car. But using her powers and a pair of roller blades, she might be able to make better time. Pam suited up, putting on her jumpsuit and protective gear. She looked down at her dog tags, unsure if she should bring any ID along in case anything happened, but she decided to put them on under her jumpsuit.

And with that she was off. She jumped out the door with her roller blades on and skated off, not mindful of anything she had left there. She skated at impressive speeds, racing past cars and other automated vehicles as she went. Pam's next stop; LA.
Basically yeah. It's pitch is that it actually tastes nothing like alcohol at all. You can also get Lime and Strawberry. I tried to drink a regular beer once, and it assaulted all of my human senses at once. So I decided to skip out on that.

I will drink the girliest, sissiest drinks and never feel even a bit of shame,
I don't do alcohol really. I drank a Mike's hard lemonade a couple of days after I turned 19, which is the legal age in Canada.
Yeah, that's right. Bow to the Drunklord!

...

I'm excited to get started.
I'm not entirely certain of how to insert my character into this situation. Finding a way to introduce Pam while at the same time involving her in this aperture shenanigans would take some serious writing gymnastics.
Can we have a basic run down on what's going down at the moment?

Edit: Oh, right.

Name: Pamela Mars

Alias(s): The Twist

Age: 24

Affiliations: The Heroes

Description: Pam is a tall woman, standing at 6"3. She has a medium build, and is generally athletic looking. She has red hair she often ties back in a bun. She doesn't have much of a costume really. She'll wear a masked visor to protect her face and shield her identity, and a military jumpsuit she owned from her time in service. Obviously she stripped the rank and anything else that would identify her. She does still wear her dog tags, but in a concealed fashion. She wears a helmet, elbow and knee pads, as well as protected boots and gloves.

Her regular attire is pretty casual. Jeans, sweat shirt, maybe a ball cap if she's feeling adventurous.

Powers: Pam's powers involve centrifugal force, basically spinning. She can cause any object to spin at incredible speeds, including her own body. She could spin the tires on a bicycle to give her a very quick speed boost, even spin the air making contact with her body to whip up small scale tornadoes. This makes "The Twist" capable of making regular household items highly lethal weapons. Imagine the damage a pencil can do to a person if it is spinning at hundreds of miles per hour.

These powers can extend to Pam's own body. One of her signature techniques is performing aerial somersaults and high speed cartwheels, since her ability gives complete control over her positioning. The Twist is known for just about always landing on her feet. These powers make her capable of dealing some hefty blows assuming she has suitable room to wind up. Her abilities also make it so that Pam is incapable of becoming dizzy, and give her a spacial awareness that remains even if her body is spinning at ridiculous speeds.

These powers do come with limitations. While the internal workings of her body (her organs) have a natural resistance to the g-force she can create, what they aren't protected against is high speed impact. Friction is also an extremely dangerous force, capable of skinning her like a rabbit easily. To use her powers to their full potential she is seriously risking her own health and well being, not to mention the property damage that can be caused by the raw destructive force of her abilities. Also, due to the mechanics of torque the larger the object is the slower it takes to build up speed. Cars can be toppled, but things heavier then that are mostly out of her ability. Notable exceptions are things designed to spin, like wind turbines or helicopter blades.

Skills: Rollar blading, Kick Boxing, Wielding military weaponry, Basic first aid.
She is also a talented breakdancer and parkour artist, but that is more so due to her powers then any particular talents she had before.

Equipment: Military grade roller-skates. It might sound silly, but Pam has roller blades designed to be able to take the strain her power has on wheels. Most wheeled vehicles she has will fall apart after a single use, but these babies are built to last. The wheels can be removed and stored and leaves behind an extremely tough pair of boots that offer a firm grip on the ground. Her combat style usually involves more kicks then punches, so these boots are potent weapons that protect her feet against all but the most ridiculous speeds.

Protective gloves. These resemble her boots in that they are protected against friction. The knuckles have cushions iron bars, making her punches rather formidable in and of themselves.

A military grade helmet. Protects her noggin.

Ranking: B

(Optional) Brief History: Pam is a native to Austria who worked for most of her life in the military. She has seen some horrible things happen, but on the same note she has seen some incredible feats of human bravery and this background has given her an overall positive impression of humanity. Pam's last mission was a peacekeeping one, in an American neighborhood with a large population of gifted. It was on this mission that she had discovered she was a gifted as well, but it didn't sit well with her commanding officers. She was labeled as a defector. She would have been put down to execution... if they were able to catch her.

Currently she is stranded in America away from her native country. She doesn't have a citizenship, but as a gifted she isn't really allowed anyways.

To be frank, it's been a week since Red's last post and it was something of an angry outburst. My thought is that if she had plans to come back to RP within a reasonable time frame she'd be back already. If it was a matter of having free time I'd think she would post in the OOC telling us she wouldn't be available instead of being completely absent.
Zelda gasped as a man she had never seen before entered the alleyway, a strange gauntlet of a dark alloy attached to his arm. He appeared to be in a great deal of pain, knelt over on the ground. She wasn't sure if she should feel concerned... or threatened. She stepped back in surprise as the man mentioned Impa's name. Only the royal family and Impa's own servants would know of her existence. Would a servant of Impa ever turn their back on the royal family? Servants of Impa were considered more loyal then any of Zelda's regular guards, so the idea that the Sheika had turned to the forces of darkness seemed unlikely. She eyed the gauntlet of darkness he was wearing, and decided that however he had gotten this, it was a burden on him. He needed help, and she decided that kindness and trust was what he needed. But she wasn't going to take any unnecessary risks.

"I don't know who you are," Zelda said with a conviction in her voice that would have surprised anyone with her ordinarily kind demeanor. "But you have to realize that I am risking a lot if I take you to Impa. The power of darkness on you is strong. If you didn't know of Impa's name I would have struck you down where you stood. So here's how we're going to do this." Zelda used her foot push in a lone brick, and the secret entrance in the alleyway revealed itself. As she done this the power of light shone in her hands, and soon she was holding a bow made of golden light. A light arrow formed in her hand and she pulled back on the string. Zelda used her head to signal to the entrance.
"You go in first. You don't want to know what will happen if you try anything stupid, understand?" It pained her to have to be so tough on this man. She truly believed him to be innocent, with the pained expression on his face. But she had to take responsibility for the safety of the Royal Family. She was doing what her father, her mother and all of their ancestors would have been expected to do in such a similar situation. She would tend to his apparent suffering as soon as he explained himself to Impa.

Zelda kept the bow trained on Byrne as he entered the secret passage. After a few seconds she followed, the power of her light magic lighting up the cave. Soon the entrance sealed itself and left not a single trace of the two of them ever being there. The two of them continued this way in complete silence until they reached the Castle.
Okay, with Redwing's character gone this makes my next couple of posts kind of difficult. So... may I sign up as the role of Sheik for the time being? If Redwing ever decides to come back I might consider handing the reigns over, but I really enjoyed his version of Sheik in the roleplay, and I'd rather not have to go without.
If we have to trudge on without Red I will. Just give me a till a little later tonight and I'll get a post in.
