The only way we've seen, at least. But I don't know. Like I said, it's just a theory. A big, huge, crackpot theory. And you two having forgotten about each other again when we first met up here today is just what tipped it over the edge for me.

I... don’t love that idea.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

I don't really know much of anything about Sam to say, but possibly?

<Snipped quote by Server>

Okay. If Melody was willing to apply the program to herself as 01, and not just some arbitrary, meaningless test subject, then what if the other three subjects are also not arbitrary? What if those other three subjects are other people who are important to her who she'd also want to have the benefits of the program. Those specific three people, no more and no less. An exact collective of three other individuals, one of which we can't account for, and the other two of which we know are having trouble with their memory. And not just a single instance of having trouble with their memory, but as of meeting here today, have proven to have had their altered memory restored to a state where they didn't know about each other.
*Glances down at the floor, avoiding eye contact with anyone*

If we’re infected too, why is this the only way it’s manifested? Just basic memory issues?
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

Hm…

I’ll keep digging.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

Not necessarily. But her user info was the only one who accessed the experiment data at all, on top of all the info about the specifics of the work being wiped.

<Snipped quote by Server>

I'm not stopping short now, because I'm unfortunately not done.

So are you saying that the mom we saw was her corrupted version, like Sam’s?
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

What does this mean?

I think it means it wasn’t able to get rid of corruption and couldn’t restore what was there originally.

*Takes a deep breath*
Right now, we're assuming "Purge01" is an experiment, and underscore-zero-one, two, three, and four are test subjects, right? We know it was tested on viruses at least, and we know... What we learned about Melody. If we just assume for a second that, if this Purge01 is a restorative program of sorts with some flaws, what if Melody wasn't just a researcher, but is one of the test subjects?
*Pauses here to gauge the room*

I... don’t think that’s a bad guess. Did any of the documents point to her being a part of this?
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

<Snipped quote by Server>

*looks at both of them*

<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>

Do they do that alot?

Huh?

<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

<Snipped quote by Server>

You have to. I mean it. I hate keeping secrets- that will just slow us down. If I end up wrong, then we can forget about it when it's over and move on. But with all possibilities on the table, you have to promise.

Sure, I promise I won’t hate you.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

You all have to promise not to hate me for even thinking it. I'm serious.
*Looks at Rhythm when I say this as well*

Now you’ve made me nervous.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

I... Have maybe the craziest theory even imaginable. A theory I hate, and it makes me afraid to share it.

Well... I guess, let’s hear it.
<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>

*nods*
Of course.
*smiles back*

<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

*looks around*

*Several of the windows contain raw data associated with the program, but a few display detailed error strings, such as “failed to void foreign data attribute,” “foreign data regeneration exceeds purge rate,” and “no approximation of original function behavior available, exiting...”*
