The words pierced through the sounds of branches clacking together in the wind. "Stop?" Sev muttered, "This guy must be a lunatic." Kali looked at Sev, "No!" She stomped into the ground, "I want to burn their book, I want to burn it now!" He put one hand over her mouth, and quickly shushed her. "I want to see what they want." He slid the book into his bag and walked out into the open, carefully keeping a good but of distance between them. "Quite a bit of noise you've made, you're going to attract some unwanted company by just attacking like that."

Kali growled and poked her head from behind the tree. They were talking, but she didn't see the man's partner. A sly grin came across her face as an evil idea imbedded itself into her brain. The book was ripe for the taking. Sev was distracted, so was the book owner. Kali slowly began to slyther her way around to the man...
Finally they reached the forest, but Kali was already getting antsy. "Sev, how much longer?" He had climbed up a tree to see if he could find anything. While sliding down, branches were snapping in the distance, and quickly getting closer. "Kali!" The mamodo looked up at him, then forward just in time to see the ball of dark power slam into her body. Kali flew back, crashing into a tree. She wobbled to her feet and growled, "THIS WAS MY FAVORITE DRESS!" Kali held up her hand and Sev followed with the spell. "Vilar." She fired back in response, exactly where she saw the ball come from.

Sev, after their attack, picked Kali up off the ground and ran behind a large tree. "Keep it down," he whispered to her, "Lets see how they respond." For once, she obeyed and carefully listened for any clue to their opponents location.
@arrow your character is accepted. No one has really teamed up yet, but you can team up if you'd like. As for the NPC enemies, yes that would be fine.

UPDATE TO ALL: It's Friday! Woot! You may now unlock the second spell whenever you like (do put on a show though, I love a good fight :3).
Kali grinned for a few seconds, then realized an attack had replied to her strike on the trees. "Get down!" She yelled, pulling Sev with her. He popped his head up, and stood at the window with the book behind his back. The blast hit the side of his house, causing no damage and only a short moment of shaking. "Pfft," Kali scoffed, "Not only did they miss, but it wouldn't have even scratched me."

"Don't get cocky," Sev snapped, "We're being watched. They know where we are, what we look like." He looked at where the shot came from and saw no one. "Whoever they are, they're gone. Want to go find them?" He suggested calmly. Kali smiled again, "Grab your bag so you can hide the book." Sev quickly got dressed, threw on his bag, tossed their white spell book in and walked outside.

"They were over in the forest last, so lets check there." Sev said, leading the charge to their objective.
Sev flipped back to the one spell he could read. "I can't read anything else, Kali." She smiled and kicked her legs around, bumping into the side of the house with the back of her heels. "Well... I'm bored," Kali pouted, "Can you say the spell again? Please? Pretty please? I want to destroy something!" Sev jumped out of bed and joined her at his bedroom window. "We don't want to harm anyone yet, so just aim for the forest," he pointed across the neighborhood at the trees with two fingers. "Yeah, yeah, just say the spell!" Kali yelled through her massive grin.

"Vilar."

Nothing happened. Kali turned around and frowned,"You need to put some emotion behind it! The more intensity, the more power!" She turned around again and held a hand out, "C'mon Sev! Try again! Try again!"

Sev rolled his eyes and opened the book again.

"Vilar!"

Kali grinned again as a ball of void energy launched from the palm of her hand. In mere seconds crashed into a tree, that toppled over, taking one more tree with it. Kali clapped joyfully and turned to Sev, "Now we wait."
@United @Weird Tales both accepted. Adding them to the list.
If someone absolutely wanted to be a kill joy and spend a whole year running from everyone then I guess yes. The only problem with leaving it to "personal growth" is someone could say they "learned powerful lessons" in two posts. I may end up shortening the calendar dates, (most likely to be honest), but for now they're what they are. That is something I hadn't thought about, like if a Mamodo just does not want to fight... Thanks for bringing this up!
IC is up. Lets do it! Second spell will unlock this Friday! :3

Kali sat on the windowsill of Sev's bedroom. They were two floors up, and Sev had removed the window so she could sit and watch the sun rise. Sev had been sleeping for the past few hours, after wasting all night trying to read something else in the book she had given him. Mamodos. The battle. It was all still new, but it was starting to make sense. Around Nine, Sev sat up and scratched the back of his head. "So," Sev said as he rubbed sleep out of his eyes, "It begins soon, right?"

"Yes," Kali smiled, "The battle will soon begin. All that happens now is we wait for someone to use their spells."
@Rika I think I see some clashing rivals in the near future. XD
