Hey! I'm Ry. Pleased to meetcha.
I did a bit of RPing here years ago, and with a recent abundance of free time, I'm looking to get back into it again. I haven't actively roleplayed in several years, but I've continued to write solo in the interim. Most of my RP experience is chat and forum based, spread out over a long time at this point.
There are a few genres I tend to gravitate towards when it comes to RPs. I have a strong preference for fantasy, from high fantasy to science fantasy, but I'm open to most things. I do best with small groups or a single partner, depending on the scope of the RP. For something I'm particularly interested in, I would enjoy a lot of world-building with several people. For more casual or romance-oriented RP, I would probably lean towards a single partner, though. I like the idea of incorporating actual game mechanics like statistics and dice rolls into role plays, but it isn't a necessity.
As far me, honestly, I spend a lot of my free time playing video games or reading. I also enjoy climbing things, mostly bouldering because I don't like heights, but sometimes I get brave. I'm also a musician, though less active these days than I was a few years ago.
I'll be making an interest check post shortly! I have some ideas that I'm hoping some people find interesting.
