@ScreenAcneOh please don't scrap your ideas, I'd much rather do some compromises than stand in the way of your creativity. As long as you're willing to make some for me as well, I don't think any of us need to be edgy - this is for fun after all and I can already tell our characters will have a shitload of "fun" interactions.

That sounds very cool, just keep in mind that the human world is the modern world we live in so.. there are no dragons. I think when people see "demigod" they think "power" but this isn't the premise of the RP. You're only powerful and free and independent in your dreams. If you can work with that (and keep in mind the idea is that we'll try to make our dreams become a reality and achieve real power) then you're very welcome on board.

So here's what I'd suggest.
I like your idea but as mentioned before, I would like to keep the gods evil because the idea I have for the plot will be centred around the godlings and not the gods themselves. They are the antagonists for a reason.

However, that said, it's logical enough that there are plenty of godlings who are okay with the current state of affairs and I don't mind your character being one of them. It will be an interesting dynamic, and as you said, will provide some drama as well.

So if you're okay with it, just change the premise a bit to avoid the gods being supportive in any way. The best way in my opinion is to say he exists in another creature's dreams and not a god's. If you want to brainstorm about other alternatives, send me a PM.

Important

Something I need to point out to everyone (and sorry if it comes too late) is the way our characters came to life. One option is regular conception (god+another partner of any kind), another is for our characters to be the creations of just one god (think literal creation of a being) and a third is the character being picked by the god from one of the "others" (say, a chosen angel). You can go any way around it but keep in mind that if you choose to be the son/daughter of two gods it might create a bit of a problems along the lines of whose servant are you really, is it both and do you have to defeat both to become free.

Also I'm deleting the age section of the CS as I agree with Harrison's opinion that it doesn't actually matter.

P.S. The "D","C" and "H" in the table stand for Dream, Celestial and Human worlds. The dots are a simplified way of giving you an idea of what we are capable of in comparison to the gods.

P.P.S. I'm sorry that the graph with the worlds looks like a chubby woman with an afro. xP Please try to take it seriously. xD

don't worry about the CS to start with, if you're not entirely confident with the premise it's always best to ask first.

I don't mind your character being dead, that would be an interesting way to go about it and might eventually lead to a plotline where our characters try to bring him back to life by pulling him out of the dream.

The thing that is most problematic about your premise is the gods being supportive. This will go entirely against the premise of the RP so unfortunately you'll have to find a different way to execute your plan. Read the OOC carefully and try to come up with something else, for example one of the "other" supernatural creatures supporting your character or maybe even a human. Gods are the bad guys here and if there are any exceptions it will most certainly not be the parents of the PCs.

Another minor point is that the gods can't know about said resistance or they'll simply eradicate us (what we're plotting is a way of overthrowing them, usurping their power, becoming them and essentially erasing them).

Yay!

Okay, we definitely have enough people to start this and you'll be glad to know I have 90% of the OOC ready. The bad news is I'm too tired to transfer it from paper but hopefully by the end of the weekend you'll have it.

Just a fair forewarning: most of this RP will be centred around us being marginalised and virtually powerless (yeah, despite being demigods) so don't expect any grand achievements for the better part of the RP.
