Eudora watched with extreme worry as the others poured over the controls, flooding the barrier with the intense lights and at that moment a ray of hope pierced Eudora's gloom, maybe not everything was going to be bad. Daniyal, however, only felt irritation as he squinted against the bright lights, shrinking further into the cloak. But the faint puff and dispersing... whatever that was (light dust?) snapped the witches' attention back to the now-vanished wall. The both of them seeing Darren's reaction to the dust stayed back and opted to instead huddle closer together, finding solidarity in their craft. If something were to jump out of the doors, it was handy to have two spellcasters back to back ready with a spell.

But perhaps they weren't as ready as they thought as Daniyal jumped as he heard the voice whisper to him again, compelling him to invite the unseen force. Confused, and still dazed by the spinning world and glaring lights, he unfurled the cloak and shook it out, as if the voice might fall out of it like dust. Eudora stared at him quizzically, "What are you doing?"

Daniyal stared back, his eyes glassed over as he shrugged before eyeing the swirling dust and metal on the floor, "Hey, where's that one woman?" he asked, looking around and still shaking the cloak while murmuring in his head, I invite you to this space he told it, the full realization of what happened to Andromeda not hitting him yet. Eudora, on the other hand, was mortified, threatening to be plunged back into that dark corner of her mind but now wasn't the time, they had to escape. She grabbed the young witch's arm, a bit rougher than she meant to, and dragged him along to the door, hoping to distract herself from the tragedy with action.

"Can't know for sure till we walk out of those doors." she called out to Lillith.

Daniyal stirred up from the clump of fabrics he wrapped himself up in, swaying dangerously on his feet as he felt his life be sucked out of him for the second time that day. But sadly, this time he couldn't mutter a healing spell to stop the flow of life juice. Daniyal's eyes started to grow even fuzzier, the dark tent blurring together as everyone in it dissolved into a flutter of hurried colors and hazy movements, darting from left to right, from the barrier to the stage. Daniyal held tighter to the cloak as if to anchor and steady himself in this spinning world. "I- I'm not sure," he sputtered out while blinking quickly, "I'm in this circus, but I think I'm trapped here." he said, sure that he was going mad. He just hoped he wouldn't pass out again.

Eudora, on the other hand, was definitely more fidgety than Daniyal at the moment, unable to stand rooted like him, she whizzed around the stage and the backdrops, trying to look for the controls to the lights while clawing her mind for a light spell. She stopped briefly only to stare at Millicent investigating the door but she was sure she could handle it herself before leaping into action again, searching for the controls with Lillith.

Eudora continued to shed ancient tears into her hands. Tears that somehow seemed dry and that dissipated quickly. How old was Eudora? But seeing Daniyal rise groggily did stem the flow of utter despair a fair bit. "Thank the Gods," she breathed as Daniyal rose and rubbed his eyes clear of sleep. But as one body rose, another dropped. Andromeda's now limp figure threatened to send Eudora into a fit of hysterics as she crowded around the body with the others. Eudora felt more cursed than ever as bodies started to drop like flies around her.

Daniyal, however, too dazed to properly function after the heavy blood loss, was content with just sitting on the floor. Bundling the cloak around him like a security blanket. Though security blankets usually didn't talk.

And Daniyal's head snapped upright and looked side to side like a startled meerkat looking for the source of the voice. He felt it radiating from the cloak but didn't hear it radiating from the cloak. He took a fistful of the fabric and brought it close to him, whispering carefully into it, "H-hello?" he asked timidly, unsure if the trauma of being flung through time has finally made him mad, "Were you the voice I heard?"

Meanwhile, Eudora's stare fixated on the body, her arms trembling to reach out and hold it, to imbue it with her healing magic but she was scared. Her magic had only brought more harm recently, she felt as if she couldn't risk it anymore. Eudora still had to help somehow, she clawed through every bit of lore and magic she knew, trying to figure out what exactly was going wrong. But Andromeda couldn't wait forever for Eudora to figure out what's going on.

"Sera, please!" Eudora implored the angel, "You must know something to help the poor dear, aren't you a servant of God? Some unholy power is draining her, please!"

Eudora, of course, lied when she told Sera Emmie needed medical attention. Emmie didn't need anything. Because dead bodies don't need. But it was a white lie, a justified lie. Or at least Eudora saw it that way. She wanted to instill hope in everyone. Hope carried people far, hope brought people back from the brink of death. Hope could do everything. Eudora placed a reassuring hand on Emmie's body, trying to give her hope.

But hope wasn't saving her. Hope was doing nothing. Eudora hoped and hoped and hoped, but nothing. She felt Emmie's body cool, felt her body go limp, saw her eyes glaze over and dim. And in that moment, Eudora lost all hope. All confidence. A crushed, guttural whine escaped Eudora's throat that held all the grief she felt. The noise sounded tired and worn down, so soft that it seemed like it could shatter in the air. Eudora bowed her head, an ancient tear falling down her cheek from her unused tear ducts. Eudora couldn't remember the last time she cried, the last time she felt so hopeless and weak and small. A few years ago she killed a child without a second thought, but now, seeing this innocent perish before her eyes inspired a grief within her that she might never escape from. Daniyal bowed his head too, not out of respect or a mutual sadness but rather from blood loss. He too might die soon.

Eudora lifted her head, eyes still puffy and wrinkles clogged with salty tears, to see Andromeda with her too. "Eudora...If that gave Mephistopheles a boost, maybe it can help Daniyal."

Eudora nodded and dragged herself up, back arched and head lowered as she went to retrieve the cloak. She draped it over the young witch's body, taking a handful of the cloak too, and recited the same incantation. She felt even more exhausted now. Eudora wobbled back to Emmie's body again and placed a hand on her head, a gesture of a blessing, and muttered in that same exhausted fashion "I'm so sorry, so, so sorry," to her before she sat back down against the wall, fists clenched on the sides of her head. Feeling so defeated, feeling like such a screw-up. And the talk of being stuck here forever just worsened that.
