BayRat Arelia Marque
Arelia Marque is a regal kind of lady, about 5'4" in height, with golden blonde hair and emerald green eyes. She lives in a tower full of books and scholars. Being a scholar herself, she is almost always found with her nose in a book. At age 25, she found herself in quite a dilemma. While exploring a dungeon with her fellow caravaners, she ran into quite the group of vampires. They called themselves the Purebloods and demanded that Arelia's group committed themselves to become cattle for the vampires. Not wishing to do so, a battle ensued. The outcome of the battle was less than pleasant. Arelia was the only one who managed to survive, but just barely. Sometime during the fight she had been bitten and cursed with the blood of a vampire.
After surviving the change, as many do not, especially with the blood of such a rare vampire coursing through her body now, she didn't know what do to, so she turned to the Sages who resided in a nearby mountaintop. She begged for their help, and, eventually, they gave it. For the rest of her life since then she has been training and learning and gaining infinite amounts of knowledge.
She is rather nimble, with a strong acrobatic background. Arelia prefers the use of daggers and and her magic to fight. She is very smart due to years of meditation and reading and learning with monks and sages.
She is known as Sage Ari by all who hear of her.
Arelia is rather kindhearted, but closed off from the world. People respect her, even with her vampirism. They seek her out for wisdom and knowledge. Arelia is also known to be wary and suspicious around strangers, especially when alone. She is rarely seen without her pet Canis Major (literally: big dog), whose name is Cerberus.
Cerberus is a large hunting dog, about 6 feet when standing on his hind legs. His fur is like silver starlight, with a stripe of black along his back, similar to a skunk. He is Arelia's faithful companion.
Arelia's nickname "Sage Ari" comes from the fact that her magic is air and wind based. She is able to use telekinetic powers to lift several tons, cause her voice to carry along the wind, and other such magics. She can create a fog to obstruct view, or a wind so loud it causes ears to bleed. When it comes to other magics, Arelia is not very good at fire, as it is a weakness of hers. In order of proficiency,
Air is her strongest, followed by Water, then Earth, and lastly Fire.
