@Lauder Sounds cool, I like the idea of them trying to integrate. Cant wait too see them.

@Polybius We'll be interacting then, I'm going to play the unknown threat when it is properly introduced.

@Flagg Thank you!

Everybody can start on nation sheets now.

In the year 2030, Humans first set foot on mars in an event viewed simultaneously by billions across the world. By 2045 the number of Human's on mars had reached 4000 and a research base had been established on the moon. A new kind of fuel, Cortonite, was discovered under the surface of mars in 2047. It was a miracle to Earths inhabitants, saving the people of earth from a growing oil crisis and suspending Humanity forward, both colonially, technologically and Economically. The fuel allowed for more settlements on other planets to be established much faster than usual, as well as speeding up the growth of existing colonies as supplies could get to them much quicker.

By 2100, this golden age has helped Humanity colonise the entire solar system. New technologies to help with colonisation and exploration eventually lead into the creation of Humanity's first FTL drive which allowed Humanity to start to reach outside of the solar system. Given time, the newly formed 'Federation of Earth' unified all of the countries on earth and all of their colonies under one flag. Some people were overjoyed with this, but others, not so much.

By 2300, the 'Federation of Earth' had thousands of systems under it's control, with many vastly different cultures and people. This caused tension between the peoples of the Federation, and after a long golden age the tension finally boiled over and large groups of systems began to announce their succession from the Federation. New nations were born, and the Federation eventually collapsed.

In 2357 first contact was made with an alien race. Things changed from that point on, as Humanity finally knew that they were not alone. After this discovery, more and more new species of aliens were discovered from all around the galaxy. Alliances were made. Wars were fought. Empires rose and fell. Nothing would ever be the same

The year is now 3057. The Galaxy looks much different than it did 700 years ago. Refugee's are telling stories of something new, an unknown threat at the very edge of the galaxy. How you deal with this, and everything else going on in the galaxy, is entirely up to you.

Hello! And welcome to the interest check for 'The Endless Black'. I've wanted to get my own NRP going for a while but never found a forum to do it on, but this seems like a great place for it. In this, you can play as a Human nation or an Alien nation of your making as long as it isn't ridiculously over-powered or just plain ridiculous. Please have a good level of spelling and grammar if you want to join, and be able to write at least a couple of paragraphs. I understand we all make mistakes when it comes to spelling and grammar but if it is near constant and unreadable then you will be asked to leave.

Obviously I am open to any and all suggestions, so this can also serve as a discussion if it garners enough interest to do so.

Thank you for reading, and I hope to enjoy role playing with many of you soon!

There is another interest check for this RP in the casual IC section; roleplayerguild.com/topics/159086-rage..
☣ RAGE ☣

Context

A new virus, nicknamed the rage virus, has devastated the United Kingdom. It started in Cambridge with the release of infected chimpanzees at a testing facility, and rapidly spread throughout the surrounding areas, police forces unable to stop the bloodbath that was occurring. Once infected with the virus through a bite or any infected bodily fluids, an infected person will begin convulsing and fitting almost instantly. Internal haemorrhaging causes bleeding from the eyes, nose, mouth and any other bodily orifices as well as vomiting blood. A person will start frothing at the mouth and screaming in pain, and in 20-30 seconds they will be consumed with constant, adrenaline fuelled hatred and rage. They will kill and infect anything in any way they can, whether that be biting, scratching, gouging out eyes or beating a person to death. Due to the incredibly quick time it takes for an infected person to become a rage induced monster, one of the greatest superpowers on earth was completely destroyed in 28 days and completely quarantined by the rest of the world.

This is the world in which RAGE will take place in.

Hello! Welcome to my interest check for RAGE. I'm quite new to this site, but not new to role playing, so don't worry. I have a couple of different idea's for the general story of the RP, and then whoever is interested can decide on which one we would all like to play. These are inspired by the films 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, and so we will be using the setting and the virus from those films (sick people, not dead zombies) as opposed to a regular zombie virus.

In this, your characters can (and some probably will) die. The infected aren't slow and shuffling, they are fast and agile. They will stop at nothing to kill you.

The infected: 28dayslater.wikia.com/wiki/The_Infected

The RAGE virus: 28dayslater.wikia.com/wiki/Rage_Virus

1) The first idea takes place fifteen days after the first outbreak starts, when the major evacuations have just started. This means that while the nation is still in shock, people are beginning to understand what is going on. Major cities up and down the UK are rife with fighting, looting and the infected. The military is starting to shoot anybody escaping major cities that aren't part of the official evacuation to slow the spread of the virus. Our characters will be from a city of our choice, trying to survive and escape in the madness.

2) The second idea takes place forty days after the first outbreak. Society, as well as the UK, has completely broken down. The infected roam the streets, and everyday more and more survivors meet their end. Our characters will be a part of one or two groups fighting for survival against the infected and possibly each other

3) The third idea can start just before or just after the collapse of district one, an american led NATO safe zone established six months after the first outbreak, following the infected dying of starvation. District one had 20,000 rehoused British people before a second outbreak of the rage virus caused its collapse. Our characters would have escaped after the district fell and all somehow met up. The end goal is to reach the coast, where the scattered and beaten american forces are regrouping to evacuate.
@Zorogami Thank you very much! We'll have to wait and see if anybody else is interested.
