Yeah, I was thinking of a middle ground, with Sue involved in criminal activity, it brings up family issues, albeit one that Lin might be hesitant about bringing Tenzin into. However, it also can tie in quite nicely with any criminal organizations that we may add. Just so there is more variety. But if you don't want to get into Sue, then we can just work around her; that's what tweaks are for!
Another thing that we could add,
I think that it would be best to start before their relationship, just because that gives us more to work with, and a more thorough experience. I think that Republic City would be the best setting, although travel might not be the best idea. Especially if Lin is so dedicated to her work. Also, Aang could still be alive, depending on the chronology.
I'm willing to go as AU as need be. Besides, if the main focus is a relationship, I prefer to focus on that relationship, and have everything else take a backseat. But, if you're not to into GoT role play's at the moment, we can do something else.

I can see Tenzin x Lin possibly working out. So, if you'd like, we could push off Pema's involvement. I've actually heard Pema called a homewrecker for that advice! While I think calling her a homewrecker a little excessive, I'm not a big fan of that particular bit of wisdom.

I'd be willing to work with the Time Turner route. Alternatively, what if we postponed the final battle. We could say that Voldemort decided that he needed more time to gather his strength before his final assault. That could also provide a suitable environment for Hermione x Former Teacher. We could also use Grimauld place as the central setting, seeing as it's the Order's safe house.
1. No, or yes to a very minor degree. I think aliens might detract from the story line, especially if we play as rebels, or if we're dealing with a human threat.
2. Some form of war sounds the most interesting. Though, if we're pirates, it would be more challenging to play in a peaceful period, as the government would have more resources to focus on pirates.
3. A stolen battle cruiser would make for an interesting dynamic. But we would need to roleplay how we... "acquired".... said vessel.
I'm interested.
Honestly, I had kinda hoped that the Tyrion x Sansa marriage would work out, since they're two of my favorite characters; so I'd be totally in for that. I'm not sure how we would work it in to the story though. Maybe that's just because I haven't finished the series. Do you have any ideas?

During season one could work. The equalist threat could make things interesting. Season two could also work, but there aren't as many options. Alternatively, we could do Tenzin x Lin when they were going out, pre-series. Though it will be doomed to fail....

Personally, I try to mirror the character as close to the author as possible. So, with that said, I don't think that Snape x Hermione would work before she leaves school (AU in terms of Snape's death). As for Lupin, again, it would have to be AU, in terms of Tonks and death, and it would have to be after school for Hermione. Another thing I've seen done though, is a marriage law. Where Snape x Hermione or Lupin x Hermione are paired by Dumbledore to prevent a marriage to a Death Eater. I hope I answered what you're getting at?
I'm interested, and if my opinion counts, I'd say that having an overarching plot line would be better. Just because it keeps the story moving forward, and should help to keep people interested.

Anyway, I have a rough character idea of a guy being able to transform into a griffin Griffins. I'm thinking of having an ironic twist and having him be a coward.
Hello, in the way of introduction, my name is Wonderful_Wolf_Wizard (though you can call me WWW or Wolf if you prefer). I usually post two to four paragraphs, depending on how creative I'm feeling. I usually check in once a day or so, although I have a life and sometimes I just can't get on. Also, I usually play male characters, mostly because I am male. Anyway, onto the fandoms I'm interested in!

* Denotes the role I'd rather play

GOT:
I'm current on the televised series, and I'm at A Clash of Kings in the books.

Mako* x Asami
Tenzin* x Lin

Harry Potter:
I've read all the books and watched all the movies, I may like HP a little too much.....

Snape* x Hermione*
Remus* x Hermione*

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you,

Farthen Dur, Belgol's home, was a spectacular city. The twisting passages, the deep mines, the great halls, and the majestic carvings all summed up to a veritable dwarven paradise. The only thing missing was the Isidar Mithrim, the Star Rose, unfortunately that particular piece of dwarven genius was located in Trojenheim. Belgol had heard tales of the Star Rose, but he had never gone for himself.

No, much better that he stay in Farthen Dur, where he knew what to do, and where to do it. If he were to go to Farthen Dur, he wouldn't know what to do. But then again, Belgol felt as if though it might be exciting to not know what to do. That thought was quickly banished, however. It had no right to be in a logical creatures mind; and Belgol was nothing if not logical.

All this went through the brown-haired dwarf's head as he shuffled through the halls of Farthen Dur, on the way back to his room. Upon arrival, Belgol sat down in his favorite armchair and opened his book, Ten Way to a Braver You. While self-help books were not very prevalent in Farthen Dur, Belgol had acquired one. He fully accepted that he wasn't the bravest dwarf, no he most certainly wasn't. However, Belgol was peculiar in the fact that he acknowledged his lack of courage, and had the resources to attempt to change that, but did nothing.

Interestingly enough, Belgol had read that book three times in the past, and he could recite every line of it. However, Belgol did nothing about his little problem, and so he was an outlier in the great set of courageous dwarves. He was complacent, and it would take a lot more then just Belgol, to make a courageous Belgol.
Sorry, I've been ill. But I'm back now so I'll get to posting IC!
