Welp. This was a surprising development. Just glad that things worked out in the end.

@Ophidian if you're still in (and I honestly dunno cus ooc drama always leaves me confused ~throws rainbows and skittles at everybody~) then would you like to maybe work on something like Amber and Jinx met somewhere in Unova before. You did say he preferred robbing banks and such, and Amber always liked those kinds of job more than the ones involving stolen Pokemon.

So there's lots of options, and I thought of one myself. You said he left Kanto to escape the heat, maybe he had to lie low for a while or something, but ends up getting mixed up in something bigger than he's ever been in before. I'll try to help you out as much as I can, as long as you want some.

If you wanna do this I can delete this post so only a few people read this and it stays a surprise. I just really want you to stay because so much good plot can come out of Jinx, especially with Leo being a thespian and all.

Ah, that reminds me, regarding the box. At this point Jinx is more liable to flirt with Leo, not steal from him. :p

He prefers to hit banks, corporations, museums, and do contract work, rather then taking time out of his day to be a special kind of jerk and snatch a box from a guy at an airport. There's being a thief with highly questionable morals, and then there's being a jerk.

And honestly, I overreacted in the first place. I'll edit the post if I need too. I'm...a grumpy old veteran from a few sites down the way. I keep forgetting I haven't earned a rep here, I reacted like I would have on a site where I had a rep, rather then one where I'm still, basically an unknown. Also let some bitterness from a situation no one here is involved leak over. Which was distinctly not awesome of me.

I'll be honest again, and say looking back, I am almost sure some of the bitterness leaked over. I still think there should be a mention of that in the rules, for other player like me who don't know the history, but it almost certainly didn't warrant the reaction I gave. Let it not be said I do admit my mistakes. That was foolish of me, my apologies.

And....hm.

Actually, come to think of it, the contact being busted in Kanto would be a good way for Amber to get on his tail-info from the bust being forwarded to officers in the region. Meaning Jinx would have to keep moving, from town to town, city to city, as the heat rocketed *heh* up.

More or less doing what I intended for the data to do in the first place-give him a reason to move around and not just be a one or two location pony.

@Ophidian Sad to see you go so soon, and I could have compromised if asked. You were kinda abrupt here as well. I take the blame for not being around to take a second look until after your first post.

In the past I've let people be part of Royal Skies for one. And, if it could really add to the plot of the story, i'd let you stay working for the Rockets. Just past experience tells me it probably won't work, but I've been wrong before.

So if you're going to leave, good luck.

I'll be honest, I've had some very bad experiences lately involving an offsite RPG's I've been a member of for years, it is entirely possible some of the bitterness leaked over, if that is so I apologize.

(another player went off the rails, I was too tangled in their plots to do anything about it, had to withdraw from the RPG for the sake of being able look myself in the eye, fun times)

Honestly, the Rocket thing was supposed to be an excuse to get him to every city in the region, rather then just those that had valuables locked away. If you're worried about rocket mooks marching in, I'm not the sort of player to pull an army out of me backside. I suppose I keep forgetting that I don't have a reputation on this site yet....

Looking at it from the outside, I can understand why you'd be concerned. It does seem rather worrying-especially since I didn't detail the data, or what it was. For that I do apologize.

I'd never really planned for it to be anything special. A trainer registry, maybe, of visitors to the centers, trainers in the region. Pokemon healed. Useful to an organization involved in poke-theft like Team Rocket. If any of the trainers ever visited Kanto, they'd have some idea of what they have, what they might be interested in buying if they're that sort, etc. Basically just logistics. Nothing special-but something a law enforcement organization would want to protect. I mean, there's a reason we guard our credit info so jealousy right? I figured the same would apply to a trainer registry.

It was also to demonstrate that despite his tragic backstory, and the kindness he shows his team, Jinx is still on the wrong side of the law, and there's a reason it's the wrong side. He might not be personally involved in said poke-theft, but he's certainly helping the logistics.

And he isn't working for the Rockets-he's under contract for them for the data. Everything else listed was for his profit alone.

If it absolutely won't work, I suppose we could just have his contact be busted back and Kanto, and the job called off. Leaving him to gallivant around the region to make sure he turns a profit somehow.

I've always believed in being honest, so;

I'll be frank, you came off as very cold and uncompromising, harsh too. And I am none too impressed. I strive to be respectful and to play by the rules-provided I'm given the same respect in turn. But there was nothing about Team Rocket being forbidden in the rules, or in the general intro post. So I'm also feeling more then a little angry about being told to rewrite the goals of the character, and an intro post I put quite a bit of effort into over something that wasn't mentioned at all in the rules, or again, the introduction.

So, I suppose, I'll be finding another game to put Jinx into.

@Ophidian yassss. I kinda feel like he and Amber could have some fun interactions. Amber's gonna be constantly annoyed and angry when Jinx slips past her and I feel like having a criminal around is gonna push her into training harder since Jinx is obvs a p good trainer already. I'm just hella excited to have her interact with him.
