"Wow a quarter of my book? I really have to find That Boy then." said William as he ate the cakes and chips. They were as delicious as those from his world, or he was just simply too hungry to care. "Well... I don't suppose you know why we're summoned here, but do you know why some of these people wanna kill us so bad? Also do you know anything about a blender?"

William felt uneasy at the way Larry spoke and his stomach churned upon hearing what he said. "Screw Jeffery, he tried to kill us! And I can't believe Jared did that to Sandra! She's just a kid for god's sake!" William took a moment to calm himself down and continued talking, "Anyways who's That Boy? I'm glad Sandra is still alive at least, but right now I think it's best I get Jesper, Emily and Eddie back before we plan anything else. Can you help me with that?" William wasn't expecting Larry to help in all honesty, but right now he's the only person or being he can depend on, it's worth a shot.

"Yeah, it's fine, thanks for keeping me alive and returning me back to normal." said William after returning to his original size. It was kinda surreal for William as one moment the dragons were bigger than him like those in myths, the next they're half his height again. He then looked back at Debra who was still lying on the floor of the cage, "Hey Debra is it? We're gonna be alright, the dragons here don't mean any harm. How are you holding up? How about you come out and we can return you to your normal size."

While waiting for a response from Debra, William turned back to Larry, "Well to put it simply, Jesper, Sandra, Eddy and I were supposedly summoned here for reasons unknown to us, we've never heard of the others though. And you're right, we're being hunted, one of them goes by the name of Ancient Root Clan, perhaps you've heard of them? I have no idea how we managed to survive for so long, we've barely eaten or drank anything!"

As William regained his consciousness, he noticed that everything was relatively bigger than before, it took him a moment before he realised that he's now shrunken and trapped in a cage. He saw a bunch of dead dragons and Ronald's body among them, but more importantly Larry and the other two dragons were alive and don't seem to pose a threat at the moment.

"I appreciate your kind gesture Larry," said William sarcastically, "but I don't see why you have to shrink me and place me in this cage!" William was angry and exhausted, he expected the scientists to be able to help Emily, but instead all his companions are now gone and he's shrunken and trapped here. "Sorry Larry, I didn't mean to shout. Clearly we don't want to hurt each other, how about you let us out and we'll talk? I don't feel comfortable inside this cage."

William fell on the ground (gracefully), he wasn't hurt but the purple mists were getting closer. "I'm fine Jesper, you... go... ahead..." said William as he started to lose consciousness. He tried his best to stay awake but the mist proved too powerful, he spent his last conscious moment cursing his curiosity before fading into darkness. "Sonovabitch...."

William wasn't expecting this, everything was chaos with twists everywhere but then again it is to be expected with all the twists that they had gone through. William winced as Jesper shot the dragons, sure they were dangerous but they were living and possibly sentient creatures as well. He noticed that he was surrounded by two dragons and one of them was spewing the poisonous purple mist, he quickly moved away as much as he could from it while holding his breath. "Yeah, I'm hanging on! Everyone calm down! We mean you no harm! How about we talk this out?" shouted William at the dragons. He had no weapon to defend himself, and outrunning the dragons didn't seem like a wise choice for him at the moment. Perhaps the dragons could see reason he thought to himself.

Everything turned to shit in an instant, William barely had any time to react as the dragon revealed itself and placed its claw on Emily's throat. "Woah there Mr. Dragon, do you have a name? How about you let the girl go and we'll leave. I'm sure you're more than capable of letting the other dragons out yourself. Everybody gets what they wants." said William as he walked closer to Jesper. It was a strange first contact with a dragon for William, it was like he was talking to a human with a scaly hand.

Vanessa smiled in approval at Garron's eagerness, "Glad to hear that Commander, I'll get ready and meet you and your men there shortly after." As soon as he left, she wrote a message on her communication unit to Angelia, "Miss Angelia, I'll be leaving the city for an expedition soon. Hope we'll be able to discuss your plan further at night. I will return once my mission is complete. Best regards, Vanessa Schulz" Angelia's motives intrigued Vanessa but her priorities lie elsewhere for now, if they manage to retrieve the Node, the Parliament might be able to stop the Rebels once and for all. She then fastened her communication unit onto her belt, also making sure her sword was properly sharpen. She left the barracks once she was done and headed on horseback for the rally point outside the city.

Garron and his men awaited Vanessa on the field. She was impressed by how quick they got ready and stocked themselves, clearly Garron commanded them well. She approached Garron as he was smoking, "Commander Garron, enjoying ourselves pre-mission I see, hope your senses aren't dulled. We'll depart for the village immediately, please lead the way." Vanessa did not approve of Garron indulging in such behavior but she did not stop him either, everyone has their own way to prepare for battle she supposed.

William let out a sigh, "Fine, we'll do it your way then, so what's your plan? Also, wouldn't it be super obvious who's the dragon if someone decides to approach the cages? Perhaps we should keep a close eye on everyone." William knew that there was no one he could trust right now besides Jesper who came down with him, anyone else could be the dragon, even the scientist who talked to him. William kept his cool and played along in case she turns out to be the dragon. He grew even more suspicious of her, seeing that she knows a lot about the dragon yet she doesn't want to reveal its weakness at a situation like this.
