Jameson heard Skylar while still struggling with the horse and said, "Skylar is it? I've got a knife, but may I know what do you intend to do with it? I don't think a knife can be of help in stopping this blasted rain." He stared at the horse's hindlegs and sighed, "Gonna need someone who knows some healing magic if we wanna get him going soon." Jameson was sopping wet with sweat and rain as he looked around to catch a breather. He noticed Ivan standing outside with an oversized coat and Baldur picking up sticks further away. "In a rain like this, that coat won't do you much good, best head inside the caravan kid, no one's looking forward to taking care of a sick boy", said Jameson to Ivan. "Oye Baldur! Do you know any spells to heal this damn beast?" yelled Jameson at Baldur in the distance.
Snake was speechless when Willow took his hand, he could only reply with a shy smile, it's the first time he was touched by a girl of such beauty. Brinley's voice took him back to the matter at hand, "Not too far, just hard" replied Snake. The docks where the boats and ships hang around isn't too far from the village, but the problem is actually finding one, and one that will accept slaves and ex-slavers no less.

Down by the docks, Captain Masamune was busy examining his maps on board his ship. It was a mighty vessel with numerous cannons on both sides and a figurehead of a dragon in front along with a battering ram. The ship flew no flag and was only equipped with huge red sails. Captain Masamune is a man no different from his ship. Tall and well-built, he is armored in red from head to toe, and armed with a katana on one side and a dagger on the other. Seated at the helm of his ship, he sighed and took off his helmet and rested it on his table. "These treasure maps are proving to be harder to read than I thought."

"Sorry about that, got too distracted by the surroundings." said Jameson as he gave the caravan master a hand in pulling out his horse.
"Goddammit, first time leaving the south and this is what I get, if this is how the north is gonna be, I don't think I wanna go there anymore!" exclaimed Jameson as he exits the caravan. It was rainy and muddy outside but Jameson wasn't going to hang inside the caravan with a bunch of sweaty, grumpy men, might as well get out and see what's the problem. One step onto the ground and his foot was already sunken up to his ankle, "Great, gonna have to get a pair of northern boots if I don't wash this mud off soon". He noticed the broken wheel and the caravan master struggling with the awkwardly sunken horse, "Seems like I'm gonna be stuck with this pair of boots".

Jameson waddled towards the caravan master and said jestingly as he stared at the horse's rear legs, "I don't suppose you're interested in having one of them seahorses right now. I can help you get your horse out, but I don't think it'll be in any condition to pull the caravan any time soon." He took another look at the wheel and then the surrounding forest, it was so foggy that he couldn't make anything out except for a clearing up ahead. Jameson started to wonder if he made the right choice venturing to the north, but it's too late to back down now, he's already about halfway there, and it sure beats the monotonous life down south. After a moment of thought, Jameson turned back to the caravan master, "So what's your plan sir? No way we're going north in these conditions."
Snake understood Gregor's motions, he quickly led the slaves to the river and pointed at which direction to go. "We keep going, until find boat" he said, he wasn't looking forward to tying up his new found companions.

Meanwhile, about a dozen or so village men were armed and ready. They were large and muscular and had signs that they had seen previous combat. "Some of you go ahead and scout for the slavers, remain hidden in the trees. The rest standby but stay at ease, we do not want to appear to be a threat to our visitors." commanded the elder. "Everyone else, go about your business, it will all be over soon."
Can't wait to get this caravan moving, Baldur's card tricks are starting to bore me and Raven's fists look kinda restless.
The natives stared at the man as he looked at them, they couldn't understand a word he said. Snake vaguely understood what he said, but he held his spear tightly with distrust, he wasn't sure whether this bloodied man can be trusted. He looked to Gregor and Willow, waiting for their answer as he believed them to be the wiser of the bunch.

The elder heard the commotion going on outside his house and stormed out the door. "Did I not make myself clear that all of you are to leave this instant!? But instead you brought another man here, a bloody sailor no less! If he could track you, I'm sure the other slavers aren't too far behind." The elder stared at the man furiously. "Leave now, or I will be forced to present all of you to the slavers in a rope.", said the elder without the guilt he felt before.

Then the elder spoke in the natives' tongue, "Ready the men, we're expecting visitors."

Only for the slaves :P
Oliver's blow caught the elder by surprise, but he had gone through worse, far worse, and seeing that he's just a kid, he took the hits without much resistance. Seeing the kid's fighting spirit, the elder was reminded of his past self and felt a sense of guilt for sending them off, but he had a duty to uphold after all. Before they left, the elder beckoned out to them, "I sincerely hope all of you will find a better life, and were the circumstances different, I would've accepted all of you". The elder then gave a slight pause and said "Oh... whatever happens, DO NOT travel down the river, there are ships travelling away from the island, you do not want to let your masters down now do you...?", finishing his sentence with a slight smile.
Upon hearing what Gregor said, the elder grew even more furious than before. "Spare the pleasantries, I am no lord from your land, I am Matahari, the leader of these people! And how dare you come here bringing all these problems!?" The elder took a deep breath to try to calm himself down, he knew the solution was a simple one and there was no need for further discussion. "All of you will leave here at once, I have had enough interactions with slavers in one lifetime, and I do not wish to meet your slaver if what you said is true. I have no reason to keep you here and endanger my people. Leave." The elder gave Water Snake a look of disapproval and said "He will bring all of you back to your masters" then he changed his language to that of his own "and you shall not return until they are gone, and see that you do, alone this time".

Snake had no choice but to nod and grunt, he could not refuse the word of an elder. He gave a sorry look to the escapees, he thought he had saved their lives, but instead it is now his duty to ensure that their lives are once again taken away.
