"Thank you... I'll take good care of it" Hayate's voice wasn't the usual cheerful voice. Shinrei noticed something different about her usual voice. Normally he wouldn't care about these things, but Hayate reminded him of someone. He just couldn't place his finger on it. Part of him just wanted to stand up and ask her what was wrong, but he had remembered that he had sworn he would never let the history repeat itself. Decided there that it was best just for him to stay out of it. He looked at her with the usual casual cold look on his face that he would give to Tsukiko then said closing his eyes, "I don't really need it anymore. You can keep it if you want to. You'll find it more useful than I ever did." He concluded as he sighed softly knowing that it was best that he parted with it. These things he kept away as reminders were just starting to become one huge hindrance toward him.
"Tsukiko, you any good at that stuff?" Hayato asked looking at his paper craft. Tsukiko turned her face and made sure she was looking at Hayato before he said that. When he asked her if she was good at papercraft she didn't know how to answer that. Her brother turned his eyes toward her with the cold stare and the only reason she learned how to do it was because her mother taught her to do so. She made mostly the common papercranes, but they were still some of the finest. A memory had surfaced inside her that she recalled making them for a boy that she knew looked familiar but she couldn't think of it was. She couldn't see the boy's face clearly even though the memory seemed to be very real to her. It was like when the TV goes fuzzy or when the picture blurs really bad that it bleeds completely into the screen. "I uh..." She said trying to answer Hayato's answer, but the hesitation prevented her from answering his question. If she told him she wasn't it would be a lie, but that memory she had just a moment ago. Why did she have it? Who was that boy she was with?
Shinrei noticed that Tsukiko was being troubled with something. Even though he wanted to intervene it was probably better that he remained quiet about it. It was at that time where he heard a voice he didn't want to hear. He was hoping it wasn't who he thought it was, but he turned one eye toward the direction the voice came and surely enough it was that annoyance that confronted him earlier. He closed his eyes and though to himself deeply trying to ignore that person completely. Not him again... He's worse than that kid who caught my sister's attention. Fate is indeed the cruel mistress toward me...
That managed to shake Tsukiko's thought about Hayato's question he asked her earlier. She managed to push the thought out of her mind as she did too hear that voice that Shinrei heard too. She looked over and noticed it was some blonde boy that was hurdling the benches almost stampeding toward the direction they were all at. He looked at her for a moment then she saw him turn his eyes directly onto her brother and sighed to herself. This should be interesting... She thought to herself as awaited for the boy to finally decide to sit down. She didn't even notice that Angelo had thrown a giant paper-wad at the teacher since her attention was focused on this boy who wanted to affiliate himself with her brother. "Friend of yours?" Tsukiko asked casually as she tried to keep her attention off the troublemaker several seats down below her and the other guy that was approaching the sleeping teacher.
When Tsukiko asked if Leander was a friend of Shinrei's that made Shinrei feel sick. He didn't show the feeling toward anyone else, but to even mention the word and 'friend' or 'that kid' in the same sentence was rather revolting as he found it as an insult. He frowned in disgust as the mere mention of that scourge dare even being associated with himself. Since this was his sister he was talking to, he wouldn't answer her like he did anyone else if they dared try to ask him that same question. "I think you mean, fiend. As that is how I see this blight. That pathetic excuse is no associate of mine. He's a parasite that I can't rid myself of." He groaned at the end as he tried to ignore him until the class was over. Certainly didn't help since he knew the next class was just as pointless as this one and sadly worse than this insect that wanted to call itself his friend. Tsukiko covered her mouth for a second and giggled, because she thought her brother was being rather silly with the way he was acting. She looked over and noticed that some of the females thought it was cute how he continued to glower with that look on his face.
"Didn't expect to see you here. You taking Fusion?" Leander greeted Shinrei happily, wearing his practically trademarked goofy smile. Shinrei refrained from answering that question though he decided he would acknowledge this individual and hoping that doing so would get them to leave him alone for the rest of the day. He had to put up with this Action Duel class which he found rather pointless that he didn't want to have to tolerate this leach that wouldn't detach itself from him feeling it was draining the sanity from his mind. "Must you make it yourself an exhibition of thought that is the epitome of why I don't affiliate myself with the likes such as you to harass me all day? Your overly optimistic overconfident attitude is one genuine reason of why I do not converse with people like you hitherto I believe you need to go rectify your whole definition of what you declare as a friend, because I am certainly not one. I am your total stranger and I intend to keep it that way." Tsukiko was in awe as her brother had not said that much before to anyone then again this person might have tried to force the issue where he was now going to lay down the law. It was apparent that her brother didn't want anything to do with this individual, but before she could get a word in the class was over and it was off to Action Dueling which she found quite exciting. Her brother less so judging by that cast iron grimace on his face. It was time for her to get a chance to achieve her primary goal of trying to make her brother smile and show him that duels were more than just brute force. That you should enjoy duels and have fun no matter what the consequences were.
When class was over Tsukiko followed the Ray twins and her brother impressively decided to go along with them. She was guessing it was because he wanted to distance himself from that person who annoyed him earlier. On their way to the arena, they were stampeded by a couple of girls who wanted Shinrei's autograph. He decided to stop for a moment and sign their autographs and told them to go on ahead, but Tsukiko decided she would wait for him. She had to keep an eye on him to make sure he wasn't going to try to ditch the Action Duels class, because she knew how exactly stubborn he was. When he was done signing their autographs he decided to make his way accompanied by his sister and the Ray twins if they decided to wait for him to the arena.
Tsukiko noticed a very large sturdy well built heavyweight that looked like he was a professional wrestler. Wow, that guy had to be as tall as a skyscraper, but not as high as this scary person people call Transformer. That name kind of pertained toward her interest since she wanted to know why they would call a person Transformer in the first place? She had heard the rumors that he could transform your limbs into broken ones, but to her those were only rumors. She had no actual evidence if they were true or not and that she wasn't going to think about that right now. She decided she better pay attention not to make this muscular guy mad and hoped her brother was doing the samething.
"I sure hope class starts soon then, Maybe if i can't duel you, maybe Tsukiko or Shinrei can... but then again one person is a dorm higher and Tsukiko is still earth..." Hayato started to think of opponents for Hayate despite he could also duel someone else instead of her sister, if it does come to people volunteering he'd gladly do it, Maybe even a duel against his sister but he isn't counting on it. Shinrei closed his eyes as he found this Action Dueling a total waste of his time. His sister find it rather exciting. It not only showed the strength of the duelist, but it gave a whole new image toward how people see them. While her brother didn't think someone's image was that important that is where she differed. To her, appearance is a major asset when it comes to dueling because you want people to remember you. The way her brother duels is just ruthless power and has no real beauty to it. It's just one monster against another and to the stronger the spoils. She was tired of that duel motto and liked the idea of Action Duels because it could showcase many aspects about dueling and also could provide the audience with a lot more entertainment. This is what she needed to make her brother see that dueling wasn't just about power and he shouldn't just rely on his own power to win. She also wanted to make it clear to him that dependency on others was a strength and not a weakness like he thought.
"Dueling is all about power, strategy and the strength of your deck. I don't need to grandstand on some master stage to showcase my own talent. This class is a total waste of my time. If you can find one thing useful I will find out of this class which will improve my dueling skill, I'd like to hear it. I don't really care about Entertainment Duels and I do not need the assistance of these trivial trump cards you call Action Spells and Traps. I will win with my own power without the dependency on such rubbish. That is true dueling. I would know, but I don't care if you know who I am or not. But go ahead and instill my mind with this nonsense you call Action Duels. I am a pragmatic individual who doesn't like to have his time wasted on this garbage." Tsukiko when she heard her brother say such words it made her frown. She immediately pulled out her fan and whacked him straight over the head with it really hard that it knocked him down. She then apologized for his actions looking in the teacher's direction, "Don't mind my brother, sir. He's just in a really bad mood. I think he's let some things that bother him go to his head. I will keep him under control and prevent him from making a further jerk of himself for the rest of the class. Please forgive his behavior. He may not seem like a good person, but deep down he is. I apologize for his impudence on his behalf. Please accept my apology." She said looking at the teacher with her innocent eyes wanting to get her brother pardoned for his poor attitude just a moment ago. She knew that Shinrei was just talking out of anger and that he didn't really mean what he said. Still, to say it like he did she knew he needed to choose his words better.
"Oowwww, dammit that thing again..." He paused pointing at her huge white fan before he continued. "Don't you ever leave that thing in your room?" Shinrei complained as he pulled himself up after Tsukiko knelt down to help him instead of bending over so some pervert could see what was underneath her skirt. When he was finally lifted up by her he abruptly focused his attention immediately on her where she had one of those motherly looks and wagged her finger at him, where Tsukiko also shook her head in disgust over what she just heard Shinrei say. "Shinrei, I am ashamed of you. I cannot believe you would be so egotistical to say that. You just insulted the teacher and someone had to prevent you from making a further fool of yourself. I know you're angry and annoyed with that other kid that follows you around but that doesn't not give you an excuse to just take it out on a dueling course you dislike. Sure you wouldn't do it in Fusion Summoning since that is useful toward you, but when it comes to dueling that involves enjoying yourself well you are just really a big time jerk when it comes to that."
