So not the best ending guy I know but I'm pretty swamped at work and I wanted to wrap things up as promised.

What happens now is a short time skip of a week, so when posting you know the time you have to work with. Next story will start soon :)

A horrid sound began to rattle throughout the museum. It was something akin to static from an old television; a high pitched whine that halted what was left of the soldiers in their place. They froze, all of them completely still as the students and the teachers looked on. When the sound had stopped, another sound took its place, the sound of footsteps. The man with dark hair and bright eyes appeared in the archway of the exhibit. He clapped his hands with a smug grin crossing his lips. “Well well, you all have done well against my friends. Congratulations. Forgive me, I haven’t formally introduced myself. I am the one they call W but to my friends, I’m otherwise known as Pete Wisdom, agent of MI5. In any other hands, what you did would be mass murder but alas in mine…” The man now known as Pete Wisdom placed his hands in his pockets. “…I call it training” He turned his head to the side and in the lingering silence, more footsteps were heard, this time it was a very familiar rhythm of high heels.

“Thanks Pete” Kitty placed a hand on his shoulder as she gazed upon her students and staff. “Don’t look so surprised guys” She let a small smile appear on her face. “I suppose I should explain” She stepped forward to the group. “When I was a student, Professor Xavier always taught us that even though our powers made us different, we should not use them to harm others, we should only use them to protect. A lot of the time, we were forced into situations where would have to defend ourselves and unfortunately that too often led to the injury and the death of my friends. But we were X-Men, that’s what we did. Today, I asked my old friend Pete here to test you. The men you’ve been fighting are nothing more than life model decoys, they have no memories and no conscience. As you can see they freeze under the influence of the correct frequency. Today, we tested you to see how you would react if faced with a situation that was both perilous to you and to humans without powers. I’ve been observing and I’m pretty confident that all of you handled the event well. A few hiccups of course but overall a passing grade if I was giving them out. We may just make some X-Men out of you yet”

THE END
Great work everyone, expect the wrap up tomorrow. I'd do it today but things are a little hectic right now.
So here's the deal kids; because this story hasn't gone exactly to plan and everyone's busy schedules are conflicting with progress, I'm gonna wrap up this battle tomorrow. So if there's anything you still want to do before we move on to the next story, I suggest you do it sharpish.
IMPORTANT

Posted guys, so here's the deal:

Everyone is now back together bar Naka and Danny but Lyric and Heathen, at the bottom of my post I've left it open for you guys to quickly join with us. After the next 2 or so rounds of posting, the group will come face to face with W and we'll wrap up the episode.

Phoe is unfortunately dropping out but she's given us permission to use Daisy as an NPC teacher.

I've also changed Duncan's last name just to avoid confusion with Violet's character.
Freddie/Duncan/Frankie

As soon as the first soldier passed through the wall, Duncan was immediately before him. It was days like this that the Navy college was training him for. Using his superior mutant strength, the young man pushed the attacks gun upwards, wildfire spread across the ceiling until the gun landed on the floor. Grabbing the soldiers right arm, obviously the man’s more dominant one, Duncan bent it in an inhuman manner, the bone protruded freely from the skin as the boy plunged knee after knee into the man’s gut. Truly, Duncan’s was a brutal fighting style. Flinging himself backwards, the mutant pulled W’s soldier with him, smashing his masked face across the cold marble floor; a pool of ooze soon enveloped the man’s skull. It wasn’t blood, what on Earth?...

Freddie watched as Duncan and Frankie finished off the enemies that had appeared in their section of the building. They were both well trained, obviously being trained by the royal navy had done wonders for them. Frankie was graceful with finesse like a ballet dancer. She didn’t kill, her strikes were all on pressure points, collapsing enemy attacks with one move or stunning them with her powers. It was actually quite beautiful to watch. Duncan on the other hand was vicious. It was strong style, no holds barred, a real physical style of violence. Yet in spite of that, each strike and hold was thought out, he was planning three steps ahead with each move. A great tactical mind lay behind those grey eyes. It was quite sinister but also very efficient.

With the last of their enemies down, Freddie was about to raise the steel door that blocked their exit when Frankie called to him. “COACH!” She yelled. “Look at this!” She pointed out the dark ooze that was flowing freely from the unconscious or dead bodies on the floor around them. The Sicilian looked at then closely. He closed his eyes and lost himself in memory, he had seen this before, back when he was a student himself. Where was it? Come on Freddie, think. He opened his eyes and got to his feet after kneeling down to examine the bodies. “Stand back” He pushed his students behind him and raised his left hand. With a flick of his wrist, the steel door flew off its mount and through a far wall, revealing Nia and her group of students. “Go now, get to Professor Torres” Freddie brought up the rear as Duncan, Frankie and Harley joined the other group. The Coach strode up alongside Nia and placed a subtle hand on the small of her back. He was glad to see she was ok but now wasn’t the time for mushiness. “They’re LMD’s Nia” He spoke softly into her ear.

Elsewhere, in the Ancient Egypt section of the museum, Daisy lay unconscious in a pile of rubble, a dark eyed young man picked her up into his arms and carried her through the cloud of smoke, he could hear a girl calling ”Miss Vaughn? Danny? He had seen the girl with the other two just before the explosion. He approached her with Daisy in his arms. “You’re Naka right?” He said. “Listen, you need to go. I’ve got your teacher, I’ll get her out. Go through that hole in the wall there and follow the corridor. You’ll find your other friends, you need to get out of here” The boy swiftly disappeared back into the dust cloud from which he came, with Daisy in tow.

Don't suppose this is still open? Maybe?

Unfortunately not, we're closed at present.

It'd be a lot less stressful in posting if everyone would be patient. Between the Memorial Day weekend, some having finals, work, and others planning summer vacation everyone seems to have varying availability. We all need to be considerate of those who can't currently donate as much time to posting instead of trying to zoom ahead. Lyric, if you want you can go ahead and have your character get separated from her group to join in with another. I'll be posting by the end of the night and I can have Art come across her.

This is very true.
Post coming tomorrow folks!
The soldiers are humans. How they're phasing through walls is a mystery right now but it'll be revealed by the end.

Great posts so far guys.
