Welcome one and all! Before I get into the main plot and what part you, the players, will be playing, I would like to repeat again that any prior knowledge of SCP and its entities, upon stumbling upon this Interest Check, are not required. That's right, you don't have to know a thing about SCP! As the GM, as well as my Co-GM, we will provide all the necessary information you need to know. I can provide a link to the website I am gathering my information from and will do so below:

SCP Foundation Database

Now, with that being said, since I am gathering my information from an outside source that is not my own noggin, I will not follow the website to the letter. Some items will be omitted as I see fit, others may be changed around. Just as well, I was given inspiration for this roleplay from the game SCP: Containment Breach. But it's mostly the general concept, this roleplay will not follow the plot-line of the game.

Warning:

This roleplay will contain triggers such as gore and psychological horror. Young ones, beware. That's all I or my Co-GM will say on the matter. Some of these SCP's are not for the faint of heart. (*Cough* SCP-106 *Cough*)

Now, onto what you all came here for: Plot!

You, my dear puppets players, shall be playing D-Class personnel. Which is to say, you will be the ones that are in direct contact with the SCP's as a means of gathering information about them to report to Class levels above yours. You would have woken up, alone, in a cell, not being able to recall the past couple of years of your life. You are all dressed in what seems to be an orange jumpsuit. You don't know how you got here, you don't even know where here is exactly. You are told, by a face-less voice echoing from a speaker high up in the corner of your room, that if you participate in just a few harmless experiments, you'll be able to go on your merry way.

Of course, life never goes the way you plan. A blaring alarm pierces your eardrums and above the din, you are able to make out the words "Containment Breach". With a hiss, your door slides open. Stepping out, you'll find you're not the only D-Class around. On a wall nearby, you'll discover a map with "YOU ARE HERE" boldly highlighting the lowest level of what appears to be an eight-tiered structure, deep underground. In order to reach the surface, you will need to make your way through the other seven levels but it won't be a walk in the park. To access each level, you will need a certain clearance card that you much search the current level for. But beware, dark things lurk the halls, freshly released from their cages.

Here's how it will work: You will have to search around the current level you are on and I will let you know if you've found the correct clearance card to move onto the next level. The very top is the Directors office and where the door to your freedom lies. You will encounter many things on your journey: be it SCP's, guards and other personnel, or D-Class like yourselves.

Weapons will be scare so keep your wits about you and be sure to stay on your toes. Be wary and use common sense. While some SCP's can kill you just by touch, you may stumble across the very few SCP's that are docile, even some that wish to provide assistance.

Now, there are a few ways that your SCP encounters can go. You can either:

1.) Allow myself and my Co-GM to hand-pick the SCP's we think we should throw at you

2.) Leave it up to a random number generator to keep things fair

3.) You tell us which SCP you would like to encounter

But beware with the third option; if you decide to go up against a Keter (Highest danger level for an SCP) then be prepared to run fast and run hard, because if it catches you, you will surely die.

Disclaimer:

We will not be holding your hand throughout this roleplay. If you make stupid decisions that would surely get you killed, then you will die. Now, we're fair and we will allow you to make another character but you only get a three character limit. If you get your third character killed, then you will be out of the game. But you can still spectate the rp. And that's three characters period. If you're playing three characters at the same time and you get them all killed, then game over.

And you won't be going in blind either. Myself and my partner will provide the needed information for the SCP's you go up against, in the form of an in-game sheet detailing the SCP. I will let you know when you will find such a sheet and what it says. I don't mind if you do some research of your own but I will not allow you to meta-game and use the research in-game. Your characters know absolutely nothing about these creatures; so if I don't give you a sheet with information, then your character doesn't know that information.

Also: Absolutely no controlling the SCP's. If you provoke a dangerous one and say you got away without harm, that will be a big no-no and a strike against you. Some of these creatures are faster than you may think. Just as well, if I provide you with information on an SCP and you still chose to engage it, despite knowing what the SCP can do, that's on you and you will possibly die.

These creatures are being kept here for a reason after all.

Now! If my ramblings at 1:30 in the morning haven't scared you away, I hope you find interest and decide to join us on this harrowing journey. I am looking for about 7-8 people to join. I will not be taking reservations and when I see I have enough people and post the OCC, it will be first come, first serve. No half-completed character sheets either, they will not be marked as a spot filled unless the sheet is fully completed.

That's all for now! I will be providing a much more detailed description in the OCC but this is just bare bones as of right now. If you have any questions feel free to message me here or in pm's!

Adelina smiled at him in return. "Well lucky for us, I can cook. Scoot over." She laughed and shooed him away so she could root around for an idea on what they could eat for dinner. She hummed thoughtfully to herself as she took stock of what they had. "It's cold out so I can whip up some stew." She replied. She rolled up her sleeves and drug out a pot and set it on the stove. She then went about collecting the vegetables and meat. She grabbed a knife and began chopping up carrots and such that would go in the stew. She was so focused on her task that she didn't even notice when Orren had stepped out of the room. Soon their dinner was cooking and she tapped her chin thoughtfully. While their dinner was cooking she could make them dessert, but what? She looked around the kitchen thoughtfully and spotted a bowl of apples. Apple pie, perfect!

With a smile, she grabbed the bowl and carried it over to her work station. Then she grabbed a clean knife and began to peel the apples, being careful so as not to accidentally slice her finger. Once they were all peeled, she sliced them up then set them aside. Next she began to work on making the dough for the pie. She began humming to herself as she worked, strands of hair falling in her eyes only to be blown back with a small puff of air. Her motions fluid as she worked, she was almost dancing around the kitchen while she worked and soon she had a pie cooking in the oven. She smiled in satisfaction and grabbed a ladle to stir the stew with.

She sensed movement behind her and looked over her shoulder, Orren now being able to see a streak of flour on her left cheek. She noticed he was staring at her with an indescribable expression. She gave him a smile, a few strands of hair falling against her forehead as she washed her hands free of flour and the like, still unaware of the flour on her cheek. "I decided to make us a pie as well." She commented as she dried her hands, turning towards him. "I could make us some tea as well? Or apple cider?"

I'll get a post up after I finish my homework.

Adelina had continued her pacing until Orren stepped into the room. She turned to him, her irritation at him all but forgotten in the force of her worry and fear. Her pacing stalled for the time being, she wrung her hands, biting her lip as she turned to look out the window. Orren was right. Night was falling and from where she stood she could see that snowflakes were falling from the sky at an alarming rate. James and the doctor wouldn't risk bringing her father or brother out in the cold, especially with her father as sickly as he is. She felt something drape over her shoulders and she turned, realizing that Orren had grabbed a blanket and covered her shoulders.

Before he could draw his hands away fully, she caught one of his large hands in both of her delicate ones. N-No, I appreciate you bringing them here. It's very kind of you and I thank you very much." She gave his hand a gentle squeeze before she released him, hand reaching up to clasp the blanket resting on her shoulders. She turned to the fire, the flames causing her emerald eyes to sparkle. The warm was slightly comforting. It didn't dispel all of the tension from her shoulders but it helped ease some away. She sighed, scrubbing a hand over her face. Her eyes felt dry and she was surprised she wasn't crying. Perhaps the situation had not hit her fully yet. Maybe her mind wasn't allowing it to, trying to protect itself in some way.

Whatever the case, she still felt restless and so when Orren exited the room, Adelina trailed behind him. She noted he was headed to the kitchen and it dawned on her that with James out of the house, they would have to fend for themselves. Perfect. She could keep busy by helping make dinner. She stepped into the kitchen behind Orren, shedding the blanket and folding it over a nearby chair. "I can help with dinner. It will give me something to do. It's better than pacing a circle into the floor." She reached into her pocket and extracted a ribbon that she used to tie her hair back out of her face. She then looked at Orren. "What sounds good for dinner?"
