I have no problem doing this with just the four of us however I would like to wait a little bit longer before doing the starting IC post.
Just a bump and a possible reminder to those who are interested that the OOC is up and running if you want to put up your CS.
Woohoo! Now we just need everyone else to put their CS into the mix...
Scythe remained perfectly still as Zero charged him until she was sighing striking distance. He watched as the sword started moving towards him with a completely deadpan expression until a moment before it actually connected then his face split into an insane grin. His left arm blurred into motion and caught the sword in midair. With his other hand he slammed the electrocuted end of his scythe into the assassin's chest with enough force to send her flying backwards even without the shock.
Heh. Sorry bout that. I have wifi at work but not enough time to actually post. :( will post now though.
Scythe ran towards the assassin staying low as she fired to avoid the bullets. He reached the edge of the roof and leapt however he was agile enough to reach the other side completely. Instead he hooked his weapon onto the roof and swung in sort of cartwheel so that he was launched directly into the air above the building before landing in a crouch on the roof. He got to his feet and smiled cockily as he made his forwards. "Good reason." He said as he pressed a button on the side of the weapon. Lightning crackled along the edge of the blade and the bottom tip of his Scythe and he ran forward into battle.
"five minutes..." Yahtzee echoed as his mind raced. The look he had gotten from Cora had chilled him to the bone and he knew that she being completely honest with him about the danger that would lie ahead. Danger that his old trainer had wanted him to avoid. Yahtzee even wanted to avoid it and it seemed a simple enough matter. Just leave and never look back. He could live life the same way he had been for... Only emptiness lay down that road. Four minutes A small, annoying part of him chimed in and he grimaced. He didn't want to die and he never had wanted to fight but this was something bigger. Suddenly a single moment seemed to stretch into an eternity and he wasn't here. He was in a place he had never even dreamed about. It was a large plain covered in grass that made waves in the wind. In the far distance he could see a lushly filled forest and when he looked the other way he saw... nothing. It wasn't just blank expanse of some bleak colour. It was true nothing and it sucked at his eyes and made his brain scream in anguish. He turned away to look at the forest and saw that it was gone. He felt the ground starting to fall away and he snapped back to the present. For a moment he could do nothing but stare at his hands that were shaking from the vision before he looked at all the people around him. They had all suffered loss in some way and if he joined so would he. Three minutes. Yahtzee narrowed his eyes and he got to his feet looking at the entrance for a moment then back to the people around. His hands turned into tight fists and smoke started to curl up from them. He knew what the vision meant and he knew it was a warning from Kayra but that wasn't enough. A snort sounded behind him and he looked at Salamander sleepily eyeing him and is mind became clear. This would be what he was going to protect. Life. At that moment a smile finally tugged at the corners of his mouth again and it turned rapidly into a grin. "Nothing could keep me from helping." He said turning to face the small group of survivors. He hadn't gone through hell like they had but he knew how to survive and maybe that was enough. "I might not be able to fight as well as you people can but I will do my best." He turned to Cora and fixed her with a determined gaze. "For life." He said simply.
Scythe could feel a tingling on the back of his neck that normally meant he was trying to kill him. He smiled to himself and calmly went about his business as he would normally have despite the fact that a weapon capable of instantly ending him was searching for him now. It always had paid to be cautious and long ago he had set up sensors on the buildings that surrounded his own as well as any of his usual hangouts. There was a noise and flash of light and his smile widened as kicked open the door to the roof and sprinted to the figure lying down with it's eye pressed to the scope of the gun. He casually spun his Scythe around and ended the circle with the point resting aginst the back of the assassin's neck. "That was a dummy dummy." He said cheerfully. "Now why don't you give me one reason not to kill you?"
Love the characters! Both have been added to the main post in no particular order whatsoever. XD
This is shaping up nicely. (:
Really excited for this!! Couldn't wait to get a character sheet up. Let me know if it's okay or not. :)
