Yuriko, Harashi
"Don't worry... We're almost there! Just a bit more...", Yuriko said as she tightly held on to the ent that was lifting her by its arms. She knew that they were almost out, since she was lost here once, but her brother Hideki helped her get out, so she figured out where they needed to go to do so. "And... We're out! We're o-", she said, but abruptly cut herself off with what she saw. "Ha... W-we're finally out. Damn...", Harashi said, panting, his back arched. "Seems like they've stopped for a bit... Yuriko, are you okay-", the brunet was just about to ask, when he decided to turn to where Yuriko was looking at.
A field of blood and dead bodies. "...my god...", he said quietly to himself. Yuriko, terrified with what she just saw, turned away immediately. She seemed to be crying, clutching the large ent by its wooden mass, her face almost directly against its body, refusing to look at what she had just witnessed. "H-Harashi-nii...", she softly said, sobbing and whimpering to herself. "Ah... D-don't worry, kid. J-just... Don't look at that...", Harashi walked up to the ent, who then let Yuriko go, to which Yuriko responded to by immediately running into the brown haired man and hiding her face against his chest. "W-why did this all happen...", she weakly said, then subsequently fainted in Harashi's arms. "Ah... Dammit... She passed out," Harashi said to himself. "Goddamn... This is so fucking wrong...", he angrily muttered. Then he suddenly remembered. "Hey, Nikko! Are you okay?", he turned to the albino who was trying to catch his breath right next to the ent. "Let's get out of here. Get on top of that creature of yours. We need to find someone that can help us!", he said to Nikko.
Yoshimi, Hideki
"Ha... Ha...", Yoshimi panted as she ran with Hideki still on her back. She'd never been so physically strained before, so she'll need to rest for some time after she and Hideki are safe. After a while more of wandering, she had finally found the exit. 'W-we're finally out...', she said to herself as she managed to exit the forest, trying to catch her breath. "H-he's a bit heavy, but... I need to make sure we're both safe before I rest...", she quietly said to herself. Such a dangerously selfless decision. "Mm...", Hideki muttered, his eyes opening slowly, realizing that Yoshimi had been carrying him for a while just to make sure they were both safe.
"Ah... Y-Yoshimi-san," he gently said. "O-oh, Hideki-san! You're awake!", Yoshimi suddenly stopped and laid him down gently. "My head hurts... What happened?", he asked, slightly confused, not remembering the events that had took place just before he passed out. "W-well... Some gelatinous thing nearly got me... But you saved me with your powers. T-thank you for that!", she said as she suddenly fell to her knees. "Ah... S-sorry, I'm just a bit tired... Ehehe," Yoshimi said, a faint smile on her face. Hideki frowned at the sight of this. "That's no good... We need to find some help... Are you injured?", Hideki asked the girl. "No... I'm very much fine, thank you," she gently said with a small smile. "I'm glad... Agh!", Hideki winced from a sudden jolt of pain in his head.
"Ah, i-is something wrong, Hideki-san?", she worriedly said as Hideki grasped his temple. "N-no, I'm fine... Just a bit of a headache, but I'm fine, really," Hideki reassured her. "T-that better be the case...", Yoshimi said, pouting a little. "Haha, yes... It is. I swear," Hideki said as he put his hand on top of Yoshimi's head, patting her gently. With this, Yoshimi blushed slightly. "W-what is it?", Yoshimi shyly said. "Ah... It's just kinda cute, your reaction," Hideki chuckled a little. "I-I see...", the girl lowered her head, still blushing. "Well... We should get going then! But before that... I should probably carry you for now, seeing as you were tired enough to actually fall to your knees," Hideki said. "So if you're okay with it, I'll gladly carry you for now," he said as he stood up. "Ah... W-well... I don't mind," Yoshimi said, still slightly flustered. "Alrighty! Let's get ourselves to safety before more of those things come," Hideki said as he lifted up Yoshimi, in a bridal style kind of way. "A-ah, you'll lift me this way?", she said. "Well, I think it's easier than piggyback, so yeah," Hideki replied to her. "W-well... I-it's okay then," she said, looking away from him a little. "That's the spirit, let's go then!", he said. "Y-yes, let's!", she said, as Hideki started to run, carrying the girl carefully. "Ah, wait...", Hideki suddenly stopped. "Eh, what is it?", Yoshimi replied. "...where will we go?", Hideki asked. "Ah... I think we can go to our shrine; the Sakkaku shrine," the girl replied to him. "Oh, alrighty. Lead the way for me then if it's okay?", Hideki asked the girl. "Sure, it is~", she replied with a smile. "Then, let's go!", Hideki ran once more, making sure to pay heed to any directions Yoshimi might give him.
