Yuriko

The girl was surprised as she saw the wraiths appear. "T-those things again?", she nervously exclaimed. Yuriko has seen what those things can do... despite seeming like the weakest out of all the things she'd seen so far. But she felt a bit relieved as Nikko had began fending them off along with the ents. 'Thank goodness Nikko-nii is around... I hope they're all okay... mom, dad, onii-chan, Harashi-nii, Yoshimi-nee...', the girl thought.

Hideki, Yoshimi

Hideki connected his blade against the Nightmare's scythe, causing sparks to fly off. But the Nightmare's strength was much greater than his, so he had to jump back as the creature coated in purplish-black flames drove its weapon to the ground, almost hitting the silver-haired man. 'I shouldn't take this thing lightly...', Hideki thought, as he unsheathed his blade. Quickly doing a scan of his environment, Hideki found a puddle he could possibly utilize to help him defeat the being, whose flames now seemed to shift to a jet-black color. Just as he was about to move, the Nightmare reacted on its own, charging towards him. Surprised, Hideki evaded to the side, just a split second before the thing had collided into him. But unexpectedly, the thing swung its scythe toward him. "Khg-", Hideki grunted as it cut deep in his left arm. "My arm's really unlucky, huh...", he said to himself. "Seems it's useless for now... ugh...", Hideki said, wincing in pain while clutching his wounded left arm. The Nightmare had turned back to him, getting ready to charge once more.

Yoshimi couldn't resist any more. She needed to help Hideki. She had done her part and moved the injured people back to safety, but if she doesn't lend the young man a hand, he could possibly die. So she rushed in, running through the puddle while making sure her spear head touches connects with the water. The water turned clear and wrapped around the entirety of her weapon. She stabbed the being with her water-coated spear, which formed steam as some of its flames got doused. The creature let out a deafening cry as it ran backwards. It just seemed to get angrier with what she did. "Kuh... Yoshimi, get back," Hideki said. The sky suddenly began to darken as clouds accumulated once more, with the wind picking up. Lightning suddenly began to strike once more, landing in the vicinity. "A-a thunderstorm?!", Yoshimi said, unbeknownst to the fact that this was all Hideki's doing. "Douse it more with water...", Hideki said, letting go of his arm. "O-okay!", Yoshimi said as she ran back to a shishi-odoshi, harnessing her powers as it began to crawl up to her spear and cover it once more. "Get ready, freak," Hideki said.

Yuriko

Yuriko began to worry more about Harashi and Hideki. She wanted to cry. Everything that was happening was just... so wrong. A 13-year old like her is supposed to be having fun with her friends in a sunny afternoon, not... running away from creatures that were trying to devour her. She wanted to cry, so much. But seeing Nikko's smile, she couldn't help but feel reassured. "Ah... R-right," Yuriko said as she kept her head low and held onto the wooden creature tightly.

Hideki, Yoshimi

'Damn it... There's a lot of them,' Hideki thought as he slashed open a Wraith's head with his katana. 'This is a really bad situation for the shrine...', he thought to himself once more as he assisted Hiroshi in killing a Cerberus, as it let out a cold howl and then vanished into thin air. "There are so many of them," he said to the old butler. "Indeed... It's troublesome... But we must fend them all off!", Hiroshi said as he drove his sword into a Wraith, as it let out a blood-curling shriek and vanished. "We're at least managing to dwindle down their numbers...", Hideki said, panting slightly. "Yoshimi-san, are you doing okay?", Hideki hollered at the girl, who seemed to be doing fine on her own, but was also trying to help other people with their injuries. "Ah... Yes, I'm fine! I just need some help to get some injured people out of here... We need to heal them," Yoshimi replied as she set down a man who was injured from the fighting. Hideki ran to them to assure that they'll be safe as Yoshimi was healing him using her spear.

"Ah... They stopped attacking...", Hideki said, seemingly tired from the fighting. 'I still didn't get to rest after all that running so I got pretty tired fast, huh...', he thought. "Ahh, I'm glad they stopped for now... Are you okay?", Yoshimi asked the man lying on the ground, the tip of her spear coated in water just over the wound on his arm which was slowly healing. "Y-yes, I'm fine now... Thank you, young mistress!", he said, but grunted since he tried to move. "I-it'd be better to stay put while I heal you," she told the man. "Y-yes... Okay," he followed her command. "Wait... What is that?", Hideki said in awe. A Nightmare had appeared in the Sakkaku shrine's grounds, and seemed to be very furious... leaving flame trails as it walked slowly, closer to Hideki. "What on Earth...!?", he said to himself. "Yoshimi, take that man to safety along with Hiroshi," Hideki said with a commanding voice. "Eh? But what about you?!", Yoshimi replied. "I'll take care of this thing," Hideki said calmly as he unsheathed his katana once more. 'I'm getting tired... Ugh...', Hideki thought. 'But I can't stop fighting now. This thing... looks really formidable, and I can't just lose to it,' he thought once more. "I'll keep its attention and you attack it when there's an opening! But first, get the casualties out of here!", he said to Yoshimi. She could do nothing but follow. It seems Hideki has a plan. But hopefully it's a good one. She began to move injured people indoors as Hideki faced off with the Nightmare. "Let's dance," Hideki said calmly as he charged towards it, katana in hand.
Harashi

Hearing what Nikko had shouted, the brunet wielding the huge sword couldn't help but sneer as he charged closer towards the flaming creature. "Of course I will!!", he yelled as he crossed blades with the devilish being in front of him. "Heh... You're even uglier than I expected," Harashi said. Suddenly the Nightmare's flames grew even darker and by instinct, Harashi jumped backwards just as it began to emit even more intense fire from its body. "You're a clever one, aint'cha?", he said, watching the flames set fire to the ground itself. 'They're that hot... Shit, I need to be careful,' Harashi thought, as the Nightmare went for another charge. He started running towards it as well, dragging his sword along the ground, causing it to create sparks, then suddenly slashed it upwards, sending many rocks flying into the burning creature, disrupting its track, disorienting it and eventually causing it to crash into the ground.

"It's over, you abomination," Harashi said as he walked near the thing, unable to get up. He brought up his sword and stabbed it into the creature's head, making it wail in pain. "Ugh, what a pain...", he said as he drew his sword from the Nightmare's head and transformed it back into a ring. "I need to get moving," he said to himself, when suddenly, he saw a silhouette of a man flying just above where the forest was. 'What the...', Harashi thought to himself, when suddenly, he turned and saw that the flames on the Nightmare grew even brighter than before. 'Wha-', that was his last thought before blacking out.

Yuriko

"Harashi-nii... I-I hope he'll be okay...", Yuriko nervously said as the ents kept on running. "Nikko-nii... Are we certain that the place you're suggesting is safe?", Yuriko asked. "I'm just a bit nervous... I'm worried about onii-chan...", she added. "I would call him, but... I'm not getting any signal. The reception towers might have fallen," she lastly said.

Hideki, Yoshimi

Just as the three had entered Yoshimi's room... They heard a scream from not far away. "No... Have they gotten here already?!", Hideki said, a bead of sweat on his cheek. "...it would seem so...", Yoshimi nervously said. "You two, please stay here. We can't risk either of you getting hurt," Hiroshi said as he started to walk out of the room. "Hiroshi-san, wait!", Yoshimi stopped the old man. "What do you plan on doing?", she interrogated him. "I shall protect the servants here," Hiroshi calmly replied. "Although I am old... I am strong enough to hold up on my own, so do not worry, Yoshimi-sama," he added. "Ah... We can't just let you fight on your own. Isn't that right, Hideki-san?", Yoshimi said. "Yes, we cannot let you fight alone. We'll join in too," Hideki said, grasping his katana's scabbard with his left hand. "Yes, we shall aid you!", Yoshimi added. "You truly are very kind, Yoshimi-sama... Very well. I shall not stop you two from lending a hand,"

Hiroshi suddenly took out his pocket watch and pressed the button that was on top of it. All of a sudden, a part of the northern wall of the room turned open slowly, revealing hidden weapons. "Ah... I was wondering why that part of the wall seemed hollow and the others weren't," Yoshimi said to herself. "Yes... I'm truly sorry I never told you anything about it, Yoshimi-sama," Hiroshi said. "It's a somewhat scary thing to think about, considering there are so many weapons that I never knew about that were all hidden in my room's wall. Ehehe...", the black-haired girl said. "Well... They certainly are coming in handy today," the old servant said as he walked up to it and took a broadsword from the wide selection of weapons. "Let us not fool around any more. We need to protect this shrine," Hiroshi said. "Yes!" "Yeah!", Yoshimi and Hideki simultaneously said and they rushed out, Yoshimi holding her spear and Hideki grasping his katana, prepared for what's about to happen.
Yuriko, Harashi

"Fuck... Not again! Goddammit... Let's get going then!", Harashi said as he started to run once more. "W-wait, where is this shrine in Edogawa?", Yuriko asked. "I've no clue myself... Ask hi- wait... What the hell is that?!", he said as he turned around to see a... centaur thing covered in flames and carrying a scythe rushing at them. "My god, this'll be bad for those ents," he said to himself. "You two!", Harashi shouted at them. "E-eh? W-what is it?", Yuriko asked. "...Go on without me for now," he said as he stopped on his tracks and turned to face whatever was chasing them. He morphed his ring back into the greatsword it originally was.

"I'll take care of this thing," Harashi said, preparing his stance and raising his guard. "Don't worry about me. What matters is you two will be safe, got it?", he said. "No! We won't leave you!", Yuriko retaliated. "...sorry, you two have no choice," Harashi tapped the ents and made them run faster to get away from him, as the Nightmare got closer and closer. "Nooooo!", Yuriko screamed. "I'll be fine, don't worry," Harashi calmly said, then waved at them, then suddenly turned around to block an attack from the Nightmare. "Well... Seems like it's just... You and me!", Harashi said as he made the Nightmare jump back by slashing his blade towards it. 'Ah, I hope I don't die yet... I still want to take more naps... And grandma... I hope she's okay,' he thought. He let out a yell as he started to charge toward the Nightmare, and it started to charge at him as well.

Hideki, Yoshimi

"What a huge place...", Hideki said to himself as they entered the home of the Sakkaku shrine. "Indeed... It is a really big place," Yoshimi replied. 'Hopefully we'll be safe here...', he thought to himself, a bead of sweat dropping on his cheek. 'It'll cause a lot of chaos if we get attacked here,' another thought. "Thank goodness, you're safe, Yoshimi-sama," Hiroshi, Yoshimi's personal servant said as he ran up to her. "We were really worried...", he said and bowed. "Ah... I'm very glad I'm safe too. My friend here, Yamamoto Hideki-san, helped me stay safe," Yoshimi happily said. "Ah, is that so... We are truly grateful, Yamamoto-sama," Hiroshi said as he bowed again to the white-haired man. "Ah... It's nothing. I'm happy to keep my friends safe," Hideki replied. "Is that so?", the old servant asked, to which Hideki replied to with a simple nod. "You are a kind young man. And... I hear the Yamamoto family are the protectors of the Kaminari shrine?", Hiroshi asked him. "Ah... Yes, that's right. My family protects the Kaminari shrine. Although... My younger sister and I got separated, and I have no idea where my parents have gone off to," Hideki replied. 'I hope they're all okay... And those two guys as well,' Hideki thought. "I see...", was Hiroshi's simple reply.

"Well, we are just relieved that we have not been attacked... yet," Hiroshi somewhat nervously said. "As the destruction spreads even more... The higher the chance of our shrine getting attacked is," he added. "...That's true. I've also noticed the servants have all been tense and have their guards raised...", Hideki said. "Yes, it's to assure that we will be able to defend for ourselves. There is a good number of servants here, but... Some of them are not trained to fight at all. So... Casualties are... almost guaranteed,' Hiroshi regretfully said. "...Indeed" "Yes...", Hideki and Yoshimi both said. "Well... In any case, I will also protect this place at any cost," Hideki said. "I see... As a descendant of the Kaminari shrine, I'm certain you will be able to defend yourself from those... creatures," Hiroshi replied. "Yes... I suppose I will be able to," the white-haired young man said. "I'm sure you two are tired though, you both must rest," the old man said to the two. "Ah, no, I'm fine, Hiroshi-san," Yoshimi said. "...No, you ran with me on your back when I passed out. We both need to rest," Hideki said to her. "Well... That is true," she replied and looked down. "Let us go to your room then, Yoshimi-sama. You may follow as well, Yamamoto-san," Hiroshi said, and the two followed.

Yuriko, Harashi

Harashi, still holding Yuriko, who was still slightly sobbing, thought of how horrible all this is. 'All these deaths are unforgivable... Whoever caused all this needs to be punished...', Harashi thought, scowling slightly. He eventually calmed down. "...You okay, kid?", he asked the girl. "Ah... Y-yes, I'm fine now," Yuriko replied to him, still somewhat shaken from what she just saw. "Well... We really must keep going. We're gonna get caught by those things if we keep on standing around...", he said. "Mm, indeed... We should keep on moving," Yuriko nodded. Harashi helped her get up on the ent that Nikko had conjured up and soon signaled the two to follow them. "We're going to my family's shrine, follow me!", he said and started running, with Yuriko tapping the ent, telling it to follow Harashi, to which it gladly complied and started moving.

Hideki, Yoshimi

"Now... W-we should come up to a crossroads. Ah, you're running too fast! W-well, once we do... Turn left and wait until there's a huge tree right next to the road...", Yoshimi told Hideki the directions that he must take, with Hideki attentively listening to every detail so that they won't get lost. "And then... turn to the right and just keep on moving until you see a large gate," the girl being princess-carried said to the young man, to which he just nodded.

"Ah... We're here!", Yoshimi said as they stopped in front of a large wooden gate, then she motioned to Hideki to put her down. "Alright... This is a pretty large place, compared to our shrine," Hideki said as he was setting down Yoshimi gently. "Ah, yes, it really is... It can be kinda troubling sometimes since it's really big, I can get lost sometimes... E-eheheh...", she embarrassingly said. "Haha... it's okay. I'd be lost too if I had such a huge home," Hideki replied, lightly laughing. "Ehehe, I see~ W-well, we should enter already...", Yoshimi said.

"Ah... Excuse me, guards! Please, let me in! It's me, Yoshimi!", she shouted. The place was in a rather open area, although there were lots of trees in the surroundings. Suddenly the gates opened slowly. "Ah, I'm really glad they're still okay...", Yoshimi said as she let out a sigh of relief. "Young mistress! Are you okay!?", three of the shrine's servants suddenly appeared and made sure that Yoshimi was safe and unharmed. "Ah, y-yes, I'm fine... T-thank you for worrying, but thanks to my friend I managed to stay unscathed~", she happily said. "Indeed, we are really happy you're not hurt... Young man! We are eternally grateful for assuring our young mistress' safety!", one of the guards said to Hideki. "A-ah, it's no problem... I'm happy to do so. I can't let a friend get hurt, especially since we just met," Hideki replied. "Well... We heard the news. We must remain indoors at all times. Follow us quick," the three soon escorted both of them inside and made sure that the gate was closed and secured tightly by the other servants, who also worked as the shrine's protectors. '...this place really is pretty big,' Hideki thought to himself. 'As long as we'll be safe, I don't mind being anywhere though,' he thought once more as the three led them inside. 'I just really hope Yuriko is okay... Please be safe, my sister...', he last thought.
Just so you know, we pretty much necroposted. Is that even allowed?
