Oh! Yeah, and hmm, I always interpreted the UBW version of archer Emiya as an alternate future outcome of the Shirou in that route. Ironically by tampering with the events that would have lead up to him becoming a counter guardian, it merely changed the mindset Shirou has as he works towards his goal of becoming a 'hero'.
Thus, they are both the same person, yet different people? (I ah... May have worded that one weirdly.) Nonetheless, this is going to be an... Interesting experience.
Oh! It does happen that I was going to go with the UBW version myself actually, Fate is tempting, but I believe UBW is ultimately a better choice. I guess with that in mind, Imma get the sheet out and see how it turns out! ><
Oh, I was considering signing up as Archer Emiya, from the Fate Stay/Night series (though I may end up taking stats from FGO to fill in the blanks just to make things easier). But I guess I was leaving things open incase I wanted/needed to use another version of him.
Hmm, I was actually curious how far one could stretch the Japanese origins of a servant actually. With Alice it was a weird one because technically she was named after the Einzbern family, but she has chosen to associate herself more with Japan (which fell closer in line with her father. Though thematically speaking, she is definitely more Einzbern-like than anything else. Class skills I definitely could have added in, but overall it does seem like Alice wouldn't be a very good fit for the theme upon further inspection.
With that cleared up though, I do have a couple other servant ideas now that I have a clearer understanding of things, though I would like to ask if you are willing to accept counterforce guardians? Specifically, I was considering Okita Alter (though she is extra class, Foreigner speicifally) or a version of Emiya as a servant. I figured I'd ask beforehand to guage how you view the involvement of the counterforce in this particular RP before I proceeded with any such ideas. There are definitely other fallback options I have in mind, which may help determine other masters I may make.
Name: Aliceviel von Einzbern Class: Caster Appearance:
Personality: Alice was the sole victor of an ultimately pointless battle. Seven magi, one wishing to take a secret to his grave, the others, seeking out a wish granting device that never truly existed. In the end, despite her best efforts to save them, Alice ultimately was unable to, and having expended all the strength in her body, she too ultimately perished.
The pain, the grief, the betrayal she had felt would all manifest into a will, a desire to end future conflicts in any way she could, preferably with minimal sacrifices. Though in an ironic twist of fate, this selfless ideal would soon result in her being summoned by the counterforce many times to stabilize conflicts. However, there are cases where she may be summoned for other reasons.
Regardless of how or why she is summoned though, Alice has always believed there to be other ways to resolve conflicts other than fighting. Though she cannot always disobey a master (should she have one) as a servant, she often hopes there is a way to end whatever conflict she is fighting in with minimal casualties.
For all the power she may hold, and the purpose she was raised for, in life, and now in death, Alice keeps fighting on for an ideal she couldn't uphold. Was it the gift she unknowingly inherited from her father she never knew influencing her mind? Or maybe, it was an innate aspect of herself that refused to die, no matter how much conditioning and modifications her body had gone through in life?
Whatever the case, this ideal was strong enough to continue on as a core part of her personality as a servant, no matter the situation.
Stats: Strength: E Endurance: C Agility: B Mana: A Luck: B Noble Phantasm: A
Class Skills: Independent Action A+: Though she had been modified and mentally conditioned from an early age, Alice had always stuck to what she felt was 'right' in the heat of the moment. And thus, she would remain capable of independent action/thought even as a servant. Perhaps this in of itself is a reflection of just how convinced she is of her own feelings.
Personal Skills:
- Wire Constructs B: A result of the crest implanted on her. Though not officially condoned by the Einzbern family, those who have modified her had intricate knowledge on the workings of their magic, and even access to their crests, and homonculi. Effects: Manifests 'raw' wires in order to ensnare her foes and even drain their mana. Alice can also use this skill to create constructs of varying complexity, which scales with the amount of strain on both her mind and spiritual body it would take. By expending all of her mana she pours into her constructs/wires at once, she can also detonate said wires or constructs. In a large enough scale, it is possible to cause a large scale explosion at the cost of a large supply of mana.
- Selflessness C: When faced with a situation that she feels compelled to help in, especially when she feels like she is doing the 'right' thing, Alice ends up disregarding her own safety and seeks to act out on her feelings above all else. Effects: Alice becomes temporarily immune to the effects of fear, and fatigue, though the latter will almost always catch up to her immediately after she has been snapped out of this state of mind.
- Regeneration C: A side effect of the reality marble she possesses, Alice's body seems to be automatically repaired at the expenditure of mana, typically seen with more grievous wounds when wires seem to 'knit' them closed, slowly becoming skin again once fully repaired. Effects: Alice is able to heal her wounds overtime, at the expenditure of mana that scales with how serious her wounds are. Mortal wounds typically take a day or two to heal, and often put great strain on her physical form.
- Bounded Field A: The most common usage of her magic, in a way to partially replicate the effects of her noble phantasm, with much less mana expenditure, but less potent of an effect. It also serves as a way to help replenish her mana supply, and survey the area in which her Bounded Field covers. Effects: Alice is able to use her constructs at a much longer range than normal, make them appear much more real than usual (although their color typically still remains a bluish white, for example, a bird construct resembles a bluish white bird rather than a wire framework that vaguely looks like a bird). In addition, she is both able to switch places with a construct within the bounded field's range, and if there are nearby constructs, take her master with her and have them switch places with a nearby constructs. Last but not least, this bounded field allows her to percieve things through the 'eyes' and 'ears' of applicable constructs. Naturally, all of these effects will only manifest within her bounded field.
- Intuition B: The key behind her adapability in combat. After all, with all the abilities Alice might have at her disposal, they would have been useless without her ability to understand and replicate the tactics of others, although not to the same kind of perfection the original tactics would have had. Effects: Alice is capable of making rudimentary copies of her opponent's weapons, tactics, and in some fringe cases, their spells themselves. For instance, a concentrated form of 'gandr' where she condenses mana into less numerous, but more potent projectiles with significantly more range which she has picked up from a previous magus in her lifetime.
Noble Phantasm(s): Name: Paradise (Reality Marble) - The backbone of many of her abilities, it is a parting gift, passed onto her by her dying father right before she herself perished. Though not a wish granting device in any stretch of one's imagination, it has the potential to produce some very convincing replicas from within it's user's understanding. Incantation: "To make the world a better place, to cure the past of its mistakes... I summon thee, oh world of mine A place where dreams are reality The place he once called... Paradise" Rank: B Type: Anti-Army Appearance:
The reality marble manifests in the form of an expansive field, with fallen gears on either side, and various weapons embedded into the ground. A web-like formation of wires is scattered throughout the ground, representing the intended purpose of this enclosed space. Effects: This bolsters the rank of her 'wire construct' skill, and can increase the rank of her endurance, noble phantasm, and luck by one at the cost of reducing her mana skill for short amounts of time. It also increases the rank of her wire constructs to A, and they become 'true' constructs momentarily while she is within this reality marble. In addition, the space within reality marble is treated like it is her bounded field. Name: 'True Incantation' - This is the result of the incantation that calls upon the origins of Alice's reality marble, the one her father had called 'Paradise'. Though it shares similar properties to 'Paradise', the world contained within becomes much more powerfull and yields stronger constructs. However, it also burns away Alice's mana supply at an alarming rate. It is this same incantation that would end up slowly killing her father when he fought Alice. Incantation: "I am the Bone of my Sword, Steel is my body, fire is my blood. I have created a thousand blades, Unknown to deat. Nor known to life. Have withstood pain to create many weapons. Yet, those hands will never hold anything. So as I pray, unlimited bladeworks!" Rank: A Type: Anti-Fortress Appearance:
The reality marble takes on the form of it's 'mold', becoming a forge for many great weapons and constructs. Though, like before, a web-like structure seems to extend throughout the entire thing, almost transparent enough to escape people's notice, but upon closer inspection appears to be wires, like what Alice uses for the majority of her constructs. Effects: Like the 'Paradise' version of this reality marble, it boosts the previously listed skills by 1 rank, in addition to a plus due to it's true potential being unleashed. (Rank C becomes B+ rather than B). And it also gains more potent versions of Paradise's effects, at the cost of much faster mana expenditure. With her reality marble's true incantation, Alice has created some of her most fearsome and powerfull constructs yet to a devastating effect, but like her father, it will no doubt take a heavy toll on her body, and though she may not die per say as a servant, extensive use would most likely cause her to be severely weakened at best due to how much mana she has just spent, or completely disappear at worst. Alignment: Chaotic Good
Side note: this is my first 'formal' attempt at creating a servant that has been statted out in terms of fate lore rather than within the boundaries of something like a tabletop game. Thus, I am willing to accept any and all criticism thrown my way. If there is anything in my sheet that needs editing/clarification, I do not mind providing it where necessary. I also have a master in the works, but consider this first sheet my test run before I go on to make any more.
