Upon hearing a voice which she had grown familiar to, The captain of the third squad turned around nonchalantly as she glanced up to expect a very tall person speak to before her. Her eyes shifted much to high up from Shota's actual height, before averting down to the proper height from which her short lieutenant stood. While he may be taller than her by an inch to be exact, the small yet striking height difference only defined both of their shortness within the seireitei even more. The woman blinked, before giving her answer to his first comment. "Of course." A scoff was heard as those two small words seemed to make an effort to end the conversation with this 'child' as quickly as possible. He was a lieutenant of the gotei 13, indeed he was and to be exact he was her lieutenant of squad 3; The youngest prodigy to be recorded within the seireitei. He was a brave one with a feisty temper, and a warrior to others. However, deep down inside Kuromi couldn't help but look at this 'prodigy' as nothing more than a child. He was a child, and she always tried to keep in mind that he was also a warrior; and a lieutenant for a reason.
The young lieutenant showed no hesitation as Kuromi would soon find herself being pestered by a small and barking dog."Did he say much? The Captain commander I mean. Do you have a mission?" She stared as Shota also didn't hesitate to stand inches away from her personal space, even her face as he was nearing the end of his inquiring behavior and only smirked in response as he waited for a more proper and detailed response. "Even when you're keen and serious, you're still essentially a child in spirit, Aren't you?" she chuckled, ruffling her hands through his golden locks of hair while also pushing him back a few inches. Probably one of the few instances she expressed a sweet-tempered feeling towards Shota, which was a rare occurrence as she was sure to never completely express her fondness of him. "I'm afraid the captain doesn't have any sort of task in mind for most of the squads." She responded, another sort of 'flat' answer as she told some of the truth before indirectly hinting it.
"But.." She paused as a sigh escaped her lips. Her hand which had tousled the prodigy's hair slowly slipped through one last time as she brought it to an end and looked away. "I am curious of the others." admitted the blonde, referring to the three squads who had been dismissed to a private room with the head captain. What could it possibly be? She felt a sort of 'bad feeling' befall her very slightly as she fell silent once more and proceeded to momentarily space out before snapping out of it and shaking her head. "I'm very curious.." She uttered almost in a whisper, concluding how she felt currently. And often times, her curiosity was something not to be tampered with as it was always mixed with a sort of mischief to obtain whatever it was she desired to know.
@Yvain Oh. I feel stupid, I didn't realize we were onto the second page in the character tab. At first I thought our two characters wouldn't mesh well but I think some kind of love-hate relationship would work, in which I'm always angry and irritated, you are the silent but deadly kind of person so we bicker and make snide remarks about one another constantly. That is, until someone else comes into the equation, anyone else who comments or interrupts becomes public enemy number one and all of a sudden we defend each other like mother and son. How does that sound?
@BrinkOi, sorry I forgot to answer quickly! But yes, this does indeed sound fine to me. Also, would it be fine that prior to the current 'warm-ish' relationship they have now (or perhaps it was a slightly recent change in terms of only a few months or so), that Kuromi had been very harsh and cold towards Shota when he was first assigned to her squad? Example, she treated him either as a pest or a child before eventually accepting him as her new lieutenant? Disliking the thought of 'another prodigy' in her squad, moreover another 'child' to accept who was very much similar to her previous ties. Of course like said in the beginning, she does eventually accept him and here they are now. Adding to the current love-hate relationship, she still occasionally treats him like a child in terms of excluding him from certain things here and there but in the end she obliges and he always finds out anyways. Perhaps a common trouble they have with their bond (for now?; it can be elaborated throughout the role-play if agreed upon) is how she has the tendency to keep certain things or details from him, which in turn backfires on her part (it can be a conflict between them at times).
Note(s) concerning my post: In terms of a blank face, flippant behavior, and apathetic behavior I attempted to make Kuromi different from an abrasive female, kind female, etc.. Since those ‘cliches’ were taken.. Tried to mold her into something like Usui Takumi [x][x] where this sort of apathy is neither hostile nor pathetic and harsh but rather humorous and literally just ‘yep. Poker face’. . Clearly that isn’t working to well -yet hopefully ; maybe cause there’s no interaction-. So far she seems to be like the new bishie, Sata Kyouya instead in terms of ‘mean and tsundere’ (he’s the ‘son’ FC in her CS; another example [x]) (ironically I realize they are alike so far) :Y… Hopefully she’ll eventually be mixed in with Usui Takumi, but it’s whatever... Hooray, Shoujo male character inspiration <_<... I felt discouraged about filling in her 'personality' as I was aware of how shaky overall her concept was in terms of personality, especially when it's also been a fair while since I've last played a 'good' female character { She isn't 'good' to me at this point now ;-;... Something feels really wrong and missing in my opinion }. But ehh, bear with me please. I really do hope I start to fall for her again though, so far I just seem out of it now at this point. EUghh. Hopefully my brain has an actual idea for her as the role-play progresses. A stable idea at that..
For a moment, there was an absence of sound within the assembly hall of captains. In this very area of two rows before the Head Captain Sendo, the main 13 captains and lieutenants of the Soul Society had stood face to face with one another, side by side next to each other. On this very day, it was clear that this sort of quietness was more apparent than it usually was. Perhaps it was out of politeness, perhaps it was to show discipline, Perhaps it was the ongoing tension underlying within some captains. Not a single word, let alone even a single breath had been exchanged amongst each other it seemed. Stubbornness, nobility, arrogance, even boredom or simply going on with the day -- here on this day most seemed to be at the edge one way or the other. No one had seemed to speak a word about anything, and there was some sort of strained tension in the air. This tension was surely not apparent, however it was there and subtly known {especially among the Noble families} and finally a booming voice without effort had seemed to snap the divided captains out of their strained silence.
It was the Head Captain himself, averting everyone's attention to his voice. On one side stood a woman with her hands folded behind her back. Golden locks of hair framed around her angular face, and per usual her expression was neutral and dull as if nothing seemed to interest her in particular. Kuromi’s hands were folded behind her back, a usual posture she took which meant nothing in particular, and her eyes slowly rolled off to the side -- eyeing not the man who spoke but rather the space behind her. Despite the voice of Sendo alerting everyone, her gaze had shifted over her shoulder momentarily before choosing to slowly look back at the main speaker of importance. Already, she had mentally reminded herself of her lieutenant, a child who was also a warrior and pondered for a moment while staring ever so slightly at Sendo, listening to only what stuck out as important. Because his voice was so casual despite being stern, she naturally assumed that there was simply nothing to discuss.
“... We will no longer sit idly by as we let the hollow's do as they please. With that, this Captain's meeting concluded for the Captains except for Captain Yoki, Captain Mogami, and Captain Mao. Otherwise, the rest of you are dismissed to continue your duties."
Of course, after all the situation had been discussed countless of times from what Kuromi had gathered. Once dismissed, she was the last to move from her spot as her ‘curiosity’ had been piqued only for a moment. She took a few steps from her spot, walking towards the exit before slowly coming to a stop and listening in on the head captain for a moment as everyone else interacted while they were dismissed.
"Let us continue this conversation elsewhere" she heard, her lips only curving into a sneer of amusement. It wasn’t even a sneer which displayed a troubling suspicion, but rather a true smirk of amusement. She was entertained that few of the other captains had been pulled aside, and with those words from the head captain she concluded that her eavesdropping was surely not needed for this case indeed. After all in the end, the woman would find out one way or another, however it seemed as though it was a strict case and thus she decided not to dabble in on it as of now.
Seeing as nothing needed to be fulfilled, Kuromi wondered for herself what should be done as she randomly began to walk around the boardwalks, zigzagging a few corners and even circling around an area at one point. The woman had this peculiar habit of exploring without a thought, something which was deliberate. She enjoyed exploring without thinking, it always lead her somewhere new and sometimes even sparked interesting conversations with anybody who just happened to come her way, so it was hard getting a proper hold on the female captain without knowing her whereabouts but never too stressful.
A sigh of exasperation escaped her lips. Who was she to pester in the meantime? Everyday was such a bore-chore to her, and per usual she was always diligent enough to finish all sorts of tasks and paperwork as soon as possible. This had caused a great amount of free time, at least a little more than what the usual captains would have in their busy schedules and the blonde stood there with a rather blank expression.
@BrinkShe's actually up :) granted since tomorrow is Friday, bio will be up; other than that I was accepted my GMs through PM and thus posted it into the Character tab.
Open for relationships, @GMs, The bio should be done over the weekend, but i remember I was accepted through PM. Currently catching up with IC posts--and i'm also open to relationships. @Brink I remember you tagged me to establish some sort of relationship between our characters, just wanted to note that I did see your post from before about this and i'm open to ideas :)

NAME:
Hoshi Komainu
APPEARANCE:
Hoshi is praised for his looks, but not in an obsessive fashion where everyone just fawns at the sight of him. He likes to merely consider himself “... Slightly above average-but not necessarily ‘handsome’”. He for the most part is one of the few in his clan that sticks out like a sore thumb, and is also one of the few who had inherited curly hair which is to the nape of his neck, unkempt, and jet black. There’s nothing important about him look wise, besides how he dons an eyepatch that normally rests on the right side of his face and it is mostly due to the fact that he has a scar more than how he has heterochromia. His right eye does take on a blue color rather than the light brown color he shows off and it’s believed that he may have possibly been blinded in his right eye (he isn’t). Hoshi also has an irezumi tattoo covering his entire back of a male foo dog with spots and two pups. One pup is resting over the back of the main foo-dog, while the other pup is underneath the paw of the larger one. It is clear that it’s supposed to represent what he had as a ‘family’, the playful one resting on the back being his daughter while the mischievous one being pinned underneath the paw of the larger is his son. But it is unclear as to whether or not the larger foo-dog is actually Hyo or himself, but it is often speculated that it’s supposed to be himself while the unusual spots and markings represent Hyo. While it may appear like the Irezumi is complete, Hoshi claims that it actually isn’t completely done yet as a final piece may potentially be added. The captain wears a standard Shihakusho but his captain’s cloak is quite different in style, taking the appearance more like a long white coat with gold buttons. In addition to that he has shin guards as well as a red scarf around his neck, which changes between red and green depending on which color he desires.

CLAN / FAMILY:
Komainu clan; Despite being known for their fierce loyalty and undying heroism, They are also now known for family tragedy due to unspeakable events, family deaths, coincidental mishaps, etc. It is now a bittersweet clan; noble yet also tragic with Hoshi being the current youngest member. The other very few members being elders, unable to bear children of course and all females. The most recent death being the son of Hoshi, who was a symbol of hope to the clan. Of course while the clan currently consists of female elders, it is not a surprise that they demand their current head to quickly bear some -new- children despite their most recent tragedy. The captain and current head finds it rather exasperating as their demands to keep the family tree alive has come to the point where they no longer believe in finding the 'perfect wife or fit' for Hoshi. As long as he has a kid, preferably a son, for the elders then they'll stop.

“ I was never insane ... ”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆
“ Except on rare occasions when my heart was touched. ”
PERSONALITY:
A man who is usually comprised of little words while deliberately choosing only his actions to speak for himself, Hoshi holds a mysterious aura to him that causes him to dangerously walk the line between ‘good’ and ‘bad’. Taking an unbiased stance is quite controversial on his part-Especially as a captain and a man -or woman- in his position and rank should always be sure to speak for their beliefs and reason with it. But to no avail since he had become a captain for as long as it has been, Hoshi doesn’t seem to mind playing the suspicious part no much how much it may damage or hurt his reputation. By all means these ‘unbiased choices’ usually allows the man to act to his own accords rather than being in a tight leash under a leader and subsequently gives him the advantage to bend the rules around in order to achieve something good or beneficial in the end. Controversial moves like being unbiased in every disastrous situation causes a sense of unpredictability as well with this particular captain, as once he gives an unclear answer; His plans are unheard of and thus causes quite a stir in its own way. But while the things he may do may be questioned by those who surround him, it is quite clear that no matter the crazy antics he may pull, Hoshi’s loyalty lies with the seireitei-Perhaps even to the point of insanity. He is truly a ‘silent but dangerous’ man that is not to be tampered with, and his sense of strategizing is what he is less than credited for. The other souls are aware he is strategically gifted indeed, but not to such an extent that is slightly beyond that.
But just because Hoshi is indeed the ‘silent but dangerous’ type of man, this my all means does not mean he is truly a man of complete arrogance. While the current head of the Komainu clan is like a wolf, using the most basic term possible, he is in actually more dog-like than his past successors. In wolfish terms while Hoshi inherits the key negative traits (as he is aware that they are indeed negative) such as greed, aggression, and fierceness. But they are not to the exact extent of previous elders who were the head of the Komainu, All who maintained a sort of self-importance surrounding them. His most positive traits are what atone more for his negative ones. Selflessness, compassion, and the need to please (perhaps not at first, but surely in the end -result-) are what overshadow his flaws as it is more apparent that he tries to be a more ‘better’ person than adopt the stereotypical Komainu traits. While such traits are believed to be considered ‘for the weak’ if the good traits dominate the much more ‘strong and instinctive traits’, Hoshi believes that there is no such thing and as such, he believes that experiencing ‘Normal, Human qualities/traits’ is something to have and keep, as well as learn from. But of course while the positive traits dominate the negative ones, these two opposing forces are sure to help Hoshi as well, in terms of persuasion/deceit, etc.
With that being said, The Third Captain is not ‘cold and callous’ at all then he may seem. His ‘cold and callous’ behavior is often in the form of a sort of ‘tough love’ act to put it simply, and he is sure not to offend or be too harsh with others in any way. While he holds up this sort of ‘facade’, it tends to break when he leaves very subtle hints of being caring underneath that rocky exterior. In fact, because he also displays, from time to time, leniency as a way to ease the tension in the air he tends to make snide remarks or comments in a way that is rather humorous rather than offensive, His caring behavior is most apparent and ever so slightly less subtle when he is with his lieutenant, who he thinks of as a child while reminding himself that Shota is just as capable as the other ‘of age’ lieutenants despite his child-like appearance.
History: (Would like to be done but can be done later)
Relationships/Friendships/Rivalries/Siblings:
Hyō, was the woman Hoshi fell in love with. She had certainly left her mark on the seireitei with everything she possessed: Ability, Appearance, and Personality. Three things quite hard to be worthy of all at once to burn into one's mind seeing as most people were only known for one quality alone. During her time in the seireitei, Hyō was part of the Gotei 13 as a head captain of a division before her exilement.
Her appearance was rather memorable as well as her personality: She was vulgar and rowdy, tomboyish in a certain sense and topped with Fiery red hair and blue eyes. However this was just the start. What made her even more distinct than anything else was her exquisite skin tone, and how it was two contrasting colors: Her dark skin bearing ink-like blotches of white. Her appearance along with her personality was what dubbed her as the 'Inverted Palmtop Leopard' because she was small, tough, and her rare skin pigmentation was reminiscent to that of a leopard, only inverted.
But while some found it beautiful, There were others such as Hoshi's elders who found it 'distasteful', not for her dark skin tone but because her skin was 'tainted' with such 'peculiar blotches'. Elders in general were always judgmental, and not just his: Perhaps she was cursed, or it was a sort of punishment for sinning some would bitterly state. But no one was as awestruck by the woman than Hoshi, who simply looked at her like she was his sun. She was in his eyes a beautiful woman despite the clashing personalities they had and it was clear that the male would, regardless of anyone's words, would marry her.
To put it simply, their love was 'taboo' but not 'forbidden' amongst their clans. It wasn't like anyone told them strictly they couldn't marry one another but it was considered to be something that was not socially accepted amongst the Komainu clan and Hyo's clan, yet still not technically 'bad' either. Upon being wedded, they had two children together who ended up being fraternal twins before they died years later and around the same time, Hyo had been exiled.
Or the 'child-warrior', 'Brat', 'twit', 'Ankle-Biter', 'Rascal', 'Small fry' are a few out of many more playful and ridiculous derogatory terms which Hoshi calls his young lieutenant. The third captain makes it clear that such terms are used by him and only him, and while he may display a sense of displeasure over having a very young and very small 'pup' following him around and/or fulfilling tasks in his absence, Hoshi is in fact indirectly fond and respectful of Shota. Often times his kindness is shown through little actions such as: being easily offended if anyone other than him calls his lieutenant a derogatory term (even if it's a term he uses personally), being careful with his words/terms to not pull a personal string that would make the boy spiteful or him seem spiteful, tousling his hair occasionally, etc.
While Hoshi may treat his lieutenant like a child most of the times, or act as though he could care less about Shota-- 'Tough love' is just how the man can properly show how he cares for the prodigy, in the sense like an older role model or figure of some sort. The two share a sort of love-hate relationship, in which despite their small quarrels and disagreements they share a sense of mutual respect for each other to the point where even sharing no words at all deems a worthy connection. At this point they are aware of how the other can think, though Hoshi does admit that Shota is however more keen and observant than he himself.
Upon first meeting, Hoshi would admit that without a doubt he absolutely despised the thought of having another lieutenant but not because Shota was a child--he had never underestimated the boy's ability nor judged anyone's ability for that matter. But rather because of the fact that Shota was another prodigy to handle, and the boy's role was what conflicted with the Captain's past experiences of raising two prodigies and having to suffer unbearable consequences in the end: One of which he had to put down personally. This had slightly gotten in the way of how he was supposed to treat Shota.
In the beginning, he was cold--but not in a spiteful way, rather Hoshi was very stern and practically unfair towards the prodigy. No matter how many times the kid owned up to him, he was always shot back down by the captain. It surely was taken to be out of personal malice in the eyes of Shota perhaps, however to those who were aware of the Third captain and his past it was merely just an act of hesitance to accept and start anew. Back then when Shota had started, their relationship was worse compared to now in terms of little to no connection due to Hoshi accepting any type of interaction with the kid, and whoever there was any of the sort he was sure to shut the kid up with words or actions like simply ignoring him. To Hoshi, Shota was nothing more than a reminder of his previous failures and he simply took the boy more as a punishment than a subordinate. A past which came to haunt him in the form of another prodigy.
But over time with a few side conversations and persuasion from close captains, the man learned how to be more welcoming towards Shota and eased up on his cold behavior by occasionally showing small acts of kindness and giving small praises of acknowledgment. Eventually, Hoshi had a change of heart and the cold and pained exterior went away.
Because the man had just recently accepted Shota more than he had before when the young prodigy had first started, He is only beginning to learn how to separate 'treating him like a child' vs 'treating him like an ordinary lieutenant'. Komainu has more of an awful habit of treating Shota like a child as he tends to still keep certain details and information away from his own lieutenant, as well as occasionally try and exclude his lieutenant out of many things as much as he can. But he has learned how to think and remind himself that Shota is a lieutenant, as capable as the other lieutenants to fulfill the wishes or meet the needs of any task entitled to him. He has certainly done better with treating the prodigy more properly and seems to be getting accustomed having him around.

Kido: Average, she only cares to know which spells will be beneficial to her in battle only.
Hakuda, Expert: Just above average, Kuromi manages to engage in battle without the use of her zanpakuto just fine.
Hoho, Master: Due to her absence of a zanpakuto physically, she relies on shunpo strictly for timing and stalling her opponents while she conjures up one of her shikai or bankai ability.

NAME:
Mori No Hanran { Rebel of the Forest }
TYPE:
Katana / Plant Type
SHIKAI RELEASE COMMAND: Awaken
SPIRIT APPEARANCE: Mori takes the form of a slender and quaint woman with long, flowing hair. She adorns high cheek bones, and feathery wings that is crow-like in appearance, having spikes at the tip top of the wings. A trait which tends to cast her aside however is her black horns above her head which curve slightly at the top. Her appearance almost seems angelic, and eloquent however she personally despises the horns on her head as well as the spikes on her wings.wip
Inner world: Kuromi’s inner world takes the form of a grassy area filled with plants and large waterfalls which crash slowly, almost fairytale-like in appearance one can say. The main setting is made up of large smooth stones as well as the roots of trees and their branches forming a sort of walkway or path to the main platform over the water located at the center. It appears almost like an outdoor throne and it is normally always sunny and warm in her innerworld. However in times of distress, this inner world becomes dark and dreary, to which all the plants begin to wilt and the flowering trees turn into large tendril-like branches lined with deadly thorns.
Sealed appearance: Mori { Zanpakuto } takes the form of a katana with a dark green hilt and a decor with gold tree branches on it and thorns around the vines of the flowers. It also looks like if focused enough on the handle a dragon on one side fighting against a soldier (play pretend...); Referencing two of it's abilities.
Shikai appearance:
Bankai appearance:
Shikai special ability: In particular, Kuromi’s zanpakuto, Mori, is able to control plants as well as construct things out of plants.
Shikai skills: 1. Bokyaku no Kemono (Beast of Oblivion): The 3rd captain is able to summon a large beastly creature constructed of plants in order to attack her opponents. However the use of her zanpakuto is prohibited, thus she solely relies on it’s speed and her hand movements. The beast follows the motions of its master’s hands, as well as her eye’s as to where he must attack. Similar to the army she summons with her bankai, the beast dissipates into the ground and around after thrashing itself, before reappearing from another angle/spot. Her Shikai relies on eyesight personally, because if her opponent manages to come close to her and she finds that she cannot catch her opponent with the beast, Kuromi needs to see physically in order to dismiss the beast temporarily and use her zanpakuto physically for combat. Timing and sight are important. 2. TBA
Bankai skills: 1. Ibara no yōen'na mori (Bewitching Forest of Thorns): This tactic turns a certain mile of landscape into a large ‘forest’ which is full of thorns. It is hardly used by Kuromi due to how much reiatsu it takes from her as well as how much damage within the landscape it can cause sometimes however, upon being released the ‘forest’ entraps her and her opponent together to the point where nothing comes in or goes out. It’s normally easier on any platform of land, however it is possible to create a ball out of the thorns as well in the air; Though this method drains her much more quickly. Once trapped inside, it leans more towards Kuromi’s advantage as she is able to control whatever is within her forest. This includes controlling the tendrils of thorns from the barrier for only 7 minutes, to which she uses wisely and tactically in terms of catching her victim within the tendrils and crushing/slicing them altogether once she becomes apparently triumphant. To put it simply, if you’re trapped in her forest, it’s more of a cruel game of torture than a battle. 2. Mitsute Rareta Guntai (Forsaken Army of Obliteration): Kuromi pierces the ground and an army made from the earth/Forest of Thorns is created. This strictly works when she's on land though rather than air and she herself cannot be touched unless she deems personal protection unnecessary. If touched, Woodland Creatures or hand-like things will come up from around her in order to crush the one who dares touches her before disappearing back into the ground. The downside to this bankai is that it’s more efficient on land, and she can only summon a certain amount of soldiers at once due to their large size (only about 7). Normally they don’t attack as an army lined up, rather they tend to dissipate and reappear as a way to confuse their target and work together, each attacking in a certain way separately seeing as she can only summon them one at a time in a sense. A way to stall them would be that once a sort of ‘pattern’ of how they attack is figured out or method they’re using to take the target down, is to hit them where a rose is located on their figure: If a rose is on their chest, neck, back, etc. They’re often hidden within the woodland creatures yet slightly seen through the moss and bark they’re made of. Though depending if the game goes in her favor, she is able to use them all at once to win despite how much reiatsu it may cost her. It is important to know that they do not only take the form of human-like creatures, but she is also not limited to shifting their appearance into beast-like creatures (such as wolves/canine-type monstrosity). She claims the limited amount of time is 5 minutes to control the army, however she is able to control them for 10 solid minutes. If she desires the army to take the form of animals, the seventh will always be the one in hiding in the form of a raven or rabbit rather than a large predator. Kill the raven or rabbit, and she can no longer keep them in their animalistic forms.
