Bio

Hey, :D

People call me Zamokra, Zamo or Sylas for friends. What can I say about myself? Am a simple bloke in his early twenties trying to find his place in the world. I'm also a practitioner of the arts of drawing, writing, gaming and procrastinating.

I like roleplays of almost any color though I tend to stay away from those based on TV shows/series, don't ask why. I usualy preffer Mid-Casual to High-Casual and although I 'specialize' in Fantasy-based RPs, I also like every other type, ranging from Slice of Life to Ultra-Futuristic-Sci-Fi and everything in between.

No off-site info on me, I like to keep my privacy private :D

Jokes? Alright then. What is red and bad for your teeth? A brick.

TARUM

The woman struggled in vain to escape from his ‘embrace’, her failed attempts did noting but fill Tarum with delight. His grin was accompanied by a cackle, oh this all felt strange yet so, so amazing. When it became clear that the blonde was not going to accept the drink he ‘kindly’ offered, Tarum shrugged “Your loss. More for me.” He mumbled and was about to take a sip when he felt a shove from the side. It came more as a surprise rather than anything else, startling him enough to release the woman from his grasp and slightly stumble on his hooved feet. The one who had the gall to push him appeared to be a young man with the same blonde coloration of his hair like the woman. He was talking directly to Tarum, even pointing at him with his index finger to accentuate his words. In spite of his efforts, the words fell on quite literal deaf ears, the effect of the pill still present on Tarum, making it look almost comical how the man moved his mouth with no sound.

Judging by the aggravated expression on his face, he was clearly angry at Tarum for one reason or another. Hah, maybe he was this woman’s boyfriend and didn’t take kindly to someone groping her out of the blue. Or it could be something else, yet it all was the same for the Chaos-Weaver. ‘Alright then..’ Tarum thought as his ever-present grin only turned more wicked. He released the grasp he had on the glass, its contents spilling on the floor next to him followed by the glass itself, shattering as it touched the surface. This only seemed to make the blonde man in front of him angrier, good, it is going to make it more easier. Tarum nonchalantly took a few steps until he was right in the man’s face, they were approximately the same height. He chuckled as he saw the man continuing to talk, only to be silence in the very next moment when Tarum head-butted him without so much as a warning of any kind.

Oh, the advantages of having not one but two pairs of horns. Tarum felt pretty much nothing yet the poor bloke fell on his ass with blood gushing from his nose, the surprise of the strike contributing to the force behind it, accentuated by the pill’s effects. “Shut up.” Tarum said mockingly and then proceeded to place his hoof on the man’s chest, preventing him from getting up. He applied a bit of pressure, yet again, the pill’s effects probably accentuated the force behind it more than Tarum assumed. The man struggled for a bit but stopped as he saw the Chaos-Weaver lean down, his burning orange eyes affixed to his face, smudged with blood from his nose. “Piss. Off.” Were the only two words Tarum said to him before giving a final push from his hoof and then stepping back, releasing him. Another crazed laugh escaped him as he turned his attention back to the blonde woman, who appeared to be retching. He sighed and waited for her to be done before once again pulling her closer to him “Oh, you poor, fragile little thing.” He said sarcastically, “How about some rest and relaxation somewhere more... private from prying eyes? Hmmmm?’ He asked, indicating with his free hand towards the wooden path that lead away from the party. The slight ringing in his ears was an indication that maybe, just maybe, the pill’s effects would pass and he could hear again. If that was the case, he had a few questions to ask this lovely little blonde and was curious to hear her answers.
Q : The pill's effects. I assume the GM will inform us when their effects have passed. Meerly asking to know when my character can hear again :)
LYANNA

Laughter….it was laughter that she last heard. It started as a low cackling and escalated to an all-out bellow. The feeling of her body becoming numb as a solid blade made it’s way through her, rending flesh and breaking bone, struggling to be removed. Laughter, that loud…maniacal laughter was always present as her vision began to blacken. Yet…before all life would leave her as she knew, that laughter…changed? It sounded more erratic…twisting into…into…sobs? Finally it did not matter. The darkness had taken her and the world around was swallowed by the darkness clouding her vision…and then…

She heard a scream.

This scream jolted her senses awake. A gasp escaped her, only to be replaced by a coughing fit as the old, stale fluid evacuated her nearly-shriveled lungs. She struggled to get up, her vision blurry and a ringing sound in her ears. In the end she only managed to get on all fours, leaning on her elbows as she continued to cough, the rotten red fluid escaping through her mouth and nostrils as she gasped for air. It took a bit for her vision to clear, ever-so-slightly, just enough to paint a picture of her environment. A horrific place…

By all the Gods!

Another gasp escaped her along with those thoughts. She was on her knees, glancing around at this place she found herself into. A dark place with barely enough light to see, the ground was humid with a mucky fluid of a sickly, red coloration. It’s consistency made it clear it was…something other than water. Around her were nothing but old, lifeless bodies, all shriveled up and in mid decomposition. This was a place where no life was welcome as not even maggots seem to thrive on the bountiful piles of corpses around. Instinctively she gazed upwards, her colorless eyes widening in horror as she saw…she couldn’t even describe what it was. Some sort of gigantic, fleshy monstrosity, pulsating and dangling from the celling by a number of great chains and hooks that perforated its bulbous surface. The mucky fluid seem to originate from this…thing, cascading from a few places where it appeared that the hooks caused too large of a gash. The mere vision of such an abomination was enough to break one’s mind.

She could feel her body shaking as she just stood there, her gaze affixed to that creature, unable to move. A whimper nearly escaped her as another coughing fit snapped her back to her senses. Still alarmed at the sight of that.. thing, she struggled to rise to her feet. The sloshy surface did not make it easy and the still semi-numb feeling in her muscles only made it that much harder. She struggled to hold her balance, damn it all, it felt like her muscles atrophied due to a prolonged time of inactivity. The familiar weight of her armor also weighed on her, yet this burden came with an odd sensation of comfort, the comfort of something she was well accustomed to. Her left side felt much heavier, upon looking she could see that it was not only due to the gross lack of armoring on her right arm but it was also because her left hand was tightly grasping at a battered shield. The shadow of a smile creeped on her face, it felt oddly comforting to know that she held on to her all-familiar shield even…even in..
It hit her.

Her mind raced, struggling to recall the last moments before she blacked out. A shiver ran down her spine and her knees began to tremble as she came to the same conclusion.

She, Lyanna, had died. Worse even, she found herself in such a…horrific place.

Was this the after-life? Was this the place where wicked souls came and awaited punishment? No..No.. this could not be….Could it?

A scream snapped her once again to reality. It was the same scream that she heard when she awoke. She quickly turned her head, trying to distinguish the source, barley making out what looked like someone curled up with their hands on their head. Numb or not, her instincts kicked in, forcing her to run with heavy feet, her armor, or what was left of it, clanking as she strode through the muddy fluid and past a number of corpses lying around. She reached the person, making out their features more clearly. It was a man, with messy, yet bright, hair. His attire may have once been of fine make but just like their owner they were now worse for wear, a series of shackles around his wrists and ankles completed his visage. With a firm hand, Lyanna shook the man, forcing him to turn and face her.

Calm yourself, sir. This is no time to lose your head, get up!

The tone and the words came out by sheer instinct. She spoke like some sort of soldier… Ah, yes… That’s right. She was a soldier…of some kind. From…from Badarium…right? Yes…yes. Her name was Lyanna and she was a soldier…a guard! A guard of Badarium. Memories slowly came back to her, piece by piece. Yet there was still much left in the fog. For now, she was content with knowing who she was and…how she apparently died.

Her gazed turned to her vicinity. She was not alone. A few corpses from a nearby pile had toppled down in the messy puddle of red fluid. There was someone else there…yet who…or what? Fearing the worst, Lyanna reached for her sword, a sensation of relief washed over her as she felt the handle on her side…yet it was followed by disappointment when she discovered that the sword was utterly broken in half. Ugh…no matter, it was better than fighting empty handed and she still had her shield. Stepping between the unknown presence nearby and the frightened man behind her, Lyanna adopted a defensive battle stance and bellowed.

Whoever is there, show thyself! Now!

Vundabar, darlink.

You. You I like
I do not want to come back and have repeat of last time. :o

Dare I ask?
So...if I'm not mistaken we have :

Syrenia - Cleric of the Bow

Frei - Azor Ahai reborn

Xega - Lightning Mage extraordinaire

Edoric - Prince of Persia Sikth

Ratha - Chaotic Neutral Spearmaster

Lyanna - Lady Tank

Carisa - Silent Knife in the Back

So... 1 Tank, 1 Semi-Healer(?), 1 Mage, 1 DPS Warrior and 3 Rogues. Sounds good to me :D
Mmmm...What I would do to 'nerf' the character would be, first of all, drop the 'Blink' ability. That is a short-range teleportation spell whichever way you look at it, and I'm sure you didn't have a 'mage' in mind when creating the character. Secondly, her healing factor. How strong is it exactly? Give an example, like how well does it mend wounds? How long would it take to close severe injuries? that kind of stuff. Needless to say if it is 'Wolverine-level' healing then that is off the table right from the strat.

Faster and stronger than your average human? Sure, sure. Better reflexes, better sense of smell, good tracking skills. Sounds about alright so long as you dont OVERPLAY them. The part about her skin being cold yet radiating heat and stuff, I belive what you meant by it is that...her body temperature is naturally on the lower side (making sense if one is to assume she is some kind of Northern fantasy-race), something purely 'cosmetic' which won't really matter in combat situations.

As for her other 2 techniques? Well... they are not BAD or particularly OP, in my oppinion but, again, they feel more like something a 'mage' would use. Couldn't you just see a wizard pulling an ethereal sword out of thin air and swing it around? Maybe change them into something more closely resembling of a 'special move' kind of stuff? I dunno.

But hey, those are just my few cents '''^^
Wonderful news :D

Excited for our introductory posts

TARUM

Tarum laughed but he soon fell silent when he realized that the dwarf was not kidding when he said the effects would hit him up quick. ‘They better!’ was his first thought, he wasn’t going to just wait around for that pill to kick in, and kick in it did. His vision turned absurdly red, so much so that anything naturally red around him became nigh on invisible in his eyes. The loud music seemed to be getting even louder and louder and then louder beyond that, causing a discomforting sensation for him akin to having someone holding your brain in a neck-lock. Like that wasn’t enough, the people around him moved so sporadically and so swiftly that all Taurm saw was an amalgamation of red blurs in the vague shapes of people. ‘Damn’ it all! What is this?!’ he shouted in his mind only to have the effects subside in the next moment and be replaced with…something else. Something better. Something that brought his wicked smile back.

He found himself surrounded in an eerie silence, feeling lighter on his feet. Just like the bearded short-man said, like on a cloud. Apart from that he felt a slight tension in his muscles, the good kind, the kind that translated to ‘I could strong-arm the Destroyer of Worlds’. What the hell was in that pill anyway? He thought for a moment to make a mental note about accepting strange pills from strange dwarfs in the future but that would be playing it safe. He didn’t care if he had gone deaf, Tarum was going to take every opportunity to have fun and sow chaos in this new world, even if that ended up killing him. If it did, he would die laughing and regret absolutely nothing! “Take the world by the balls!” he shouted as he snatched another drink from an oblivious dancer and chugged the fruity flavored beverage in one gulp. A thought occurred to him in that moment, if this pill indeed would cause deafness, even if temporarily, and if one could assume that each of these party-goes took one, then one could reach two conclusions :

First, this would explain their ‘off-tune’ dancing since they probably only imagine the music they dance to.

Second, the DJ was most probably wasting his time. Either that or he thought of putting some annoying music as an unconscious incentive for people to take the pill.

Another series of maniacal laughter escaped Tarum. Who cares in the end? He was feeling high and mighty and that is all that mattered. He was hopeful that the deafness would pass sooner or later so why not have some fun along the way? If you can’t beat them, join them. So it was that the Chaos-Weaver began to shake his hips and strut his stuff on the dance floor along with the others. True he couldn’t actually hear the music but he assumed the rest were in the same boat and simply played along, hell the tune was so catchy that even now he had it stuck in his head and his mind played it over and over, it would do!

With the corner of his burning eye, he noticed a new participant. A blonde woman was sheepishly making her way through the crowd, apparently rejecting the drinking offers from various people. A clear sign that she was, like him, new around here. A few moments later, the same 'kindly' dwarf approached her and same as Tarum, persuaded her into taking the same sort of pill he took. ‘Oh, this will be FUN!’ he thought as he made his way (dancing, of course) to the blonde and without any warning grabbed her buttocks with a frim squeeze. “This is not the place for abstention, sweetie!” he said and proceeded to wrap his other hand around the woman, his metal staff dangling on the side. “This is the place where bad decisions happen, where man, woman and whatever else, give in to their deeper desires and enjoy the life they have!” He then stretched his free hand on the other side and snatched yet another drink from someone, this time offering it to the blonde with just a ‘hint’ of insistence.

Let the future you worry about the future, this moment belongs to you and me and all of us! Now drink up and shake your stuff!
