"A professional. Wei Zhan Wu, at your service" was the quick, simple reply the mercenary gave to Samantha's first line of questioning, punctuated by a bow of the head so slight it might as well not have been there. He watched with amusement as the blonde brought the would-be assailant down to the filthy dirt floor of the stable and sat on top of him to further add to his humiliation, and that the man was unable to escape such an easily countered joint lock was just further proof that these were not exactly martial masters. Zhan Wu let the woman say her piece while he guided his horse to a stall, seemingly paying her no mind until after he was done.

"Ah, so do you know why they were beating him? He has the look a drunkard to him" he replied once more, pausing to take sniff of the air before continuing. "And the smells, as well. Hardly the sort that doesn't earn such treatment. As for the dying, well, he certainly seems capable of handling himself". Just how much exactly Zhan Wu saw, he wouldn't say, but he thought it was fairly obvious this was no average lowlife wasting away in alcohol. As for the savage, the mercenary regarded her with a look of contempt not unlike the one given to a disobedient animal that continues to inconvenience its master, clearly unfazed by the brandished blade.

"As for you, foreigner, I'll give you some advice. Put your weapon away, learn the customs of the land and learn when to fight and when to kill. Only fools rush in, as the saying goes".
"Oh yes, alert the authorities that a foreigner just hacked a person to bits. I'm sure they'll be quite welcoming" came a voice from the far end of the stables. Wei Zhan Wu had only just arrived, no point in getting ahead of schedule if he'd simply be forced to stop once he did so, and had been drawn to the sounds of battle and the smell of blood once he went to drop off his rented horse. Still riding atop the animal, he looked down upon the end result with clear amusement. "He died because you chopped him in half, whatever you are", he continued to address the one in the mask, "and you did so in the one place where people will care about it".

He was a mercenary and an assassin, killing people was a large part of his life, but this was pitiful. Not only was it completely unnecessary when comparing levels of skill, it was bound to attract more attention and cause more problems than a bunch of lowlives were worth. "Ah, perhaps you don't understand me. You then, or you", he gestured with his head towards the blonde that looked like a foreigner and the man with all the bearing of a drunken miser. "Could you not handle a few louts without bloodshed? Doing it out in the wild is one thing, but killing someone in the lone trading post within miles is bound to complicate life for everyone".

As he adressed the group, the tall, slender man climbed off his horse, examining the bodies of the robbers and regarding the one restrained man with the same look one would give a child caught stealing a snack before dinner. "Hm, you wouldn't happen to have a reward on your head, would you? If there's going to be a commotion I'd rather it be justified".
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING" roared the Savannah Savage as the russian made off with the piece of paper. It wasn't that he cared much about constitutions, he meant every word he said and would very much fight anyone who tried to tell him what to do, but it was the principle of the thing. No one was going to put one over on him, for one. For another, it was a way to make others return to the purity of the wild. And besides, that Ivan tried to go about this sneakily while surrounded by people who'd have all eyes on him since he took what they were all fighting for was just daft, and it just made Leonidas feel even more insulted.

Grunting in anger, he once again began to make way through the crowd and spared Jarl Ragcan or whatever his name was little more than a sideways glance and a few quick words. "We'll settle this later", he mouthed as the tiny girl did half his job for him, stopping the russian and taking the constitution back. Hell, she even picked a fight with the walking tin can, which meant he could focus on the primary target of his ire. Though he was shorter than Ivan, their similar weights meant that Leonidas was actually much wider and seemed to pack more muscle than even the colossal russian, and other wrestlers made sure to give them both a wide berth.

And so the lion faced down the bear, hamhock-sized hand unconsciously half flexed into a claw and body almost shaking from rage. Nobody made a fool of the Lord of the Wild, nobody. "You think you're clever? Think you get to call the shots, put one over on me? I don't give a rat's ass about the people, I don't give a rat's ass about no constitution, but if you think you can play me for a fool you got another thing coming. We'll settle this in the ring alright".

Name/Nickname: Wei Zhan Wu
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Political Affiliation: Neutral

Fighting Style: Zhan Wu’s martial education has been shaped by the feared Han Lieren, the Howling Hunters Agency, and in their care he has learned a modified version of the Eagle Claw. Though the style is known for its close range repertoire, in particular its system of clinches, takedowns and grappling holds, Zhan Wu prefers to stay at a longer range initially. Rather than rush into a direct clash he employs swift, efficient footwork and circular deflections to keep opponents at bay, striking at them with powerful and precise long-range attacks that are perfectly capable of ending a fight on their own.

In particular, the Agency’s training regimen included an extreme focus on body conditioning. After all, a member of the Howling Hunters should be able to strike down prey at any time without the need for weapons. Wei Zhan Wu is quite durable and, though he is not as strong as others more dedicated to sheer power, he can forego weapons without being at too much of a disadvantage, aided by the rather uncommon ability to deliver powerful whip-like lashings with his long ponytail. In exchange for all this, however, he is just not very good with weapons at all, especially for someone of his otherwise advanced skills.

Finally, though he has received some training as an assassin, Zhan Wu sees most of the practices as unglamorous and beneath him. He has a strong dislike for the cowardly use poisons and narcotics, he sees skulking about in the shadows as the realm of lowly thieves and his ego makes it very hard for him to consider blending in with crowds. He is, however, lithe and agile, capable of moving swiftly, softly and silently with some ease even if he’s not on the level of better infiltrators.

Personality: Zhan Wu is just not the most pleasant person to be around. Cold and aloof, he’s not one to hold back on biting remarks and his advanced martial arts skills have given him a narcissistic streak and a habit of looking down on others. A strong believer in self reliance who has achieved his current station through his own sweat and blood, he is also hardly the type to go out of his way to help others and actively despises those who are content to let their fate play out as it may. Despite all this, he does have some redeeming features and holds himself to a high standard.

Placing himself above common treachery, the Howling Hunter sees his word as his bond and is a dependable ally once one is sure they have gained his cooperation. He is also fearless and willing to risk life and limb for his goals, and while he is undeniably ruthless he isn’t one for killing or maiming others without proper reasons to do so, especially when it is clear they are not at his level. Though harsh and uncompromising, his words and actions often seek to drive others to better themselves as he has done in his life and he is very open about praising others should they do something that warrants it.

History:
Unlike the Grand Temples or the Iron Schools, the Han Lieren Agency, the Howling Hunters, isn’t exactly well known to the common people. In the martial arts world and amongst major officials, however, they’re a synonym for excellency. Though a comparatively minor group as far as numbers go, this unorthodox organization is famed for their high standards and their enviable success rate in acting as bodyguards, shock troops, infiltrators and assassins for hire. A strong code of conduct helps separate them from common thugs, and even the court occasionally makes use of their deadly skills for their own benefit.

While the Agency often employs less than upstanding martial artists shunned by more orthodox organizations, it also takes in orphaned or abandoned children to raise its own members from the ground up. Wei Zhan Wu is such a case, a child who even at death’s door displayed an unusual strength of will and was thus taken in to be raised as a warrior and assassin. Though a rough upbringing, nevermind the moral implications of it all, Zhan Wu is fanatically loyal to the Agency and has never forgotten that it was by their hand that he was given a future and a station so much higher than anything he could’ve dreamed of.

And it’s this loyalty to what he sees as his brothers and sisters that drives him now. One of the victims of the Pale Hunter, unknown to many, was a member of the Han Lieren and the Agency cannot allow such a thing to go unpunished. The task has fallen to Wei Zhan Wu and him alone, a test for the young martial artist before his training progresses any further. He is to take the Pale Hunter’s head, through whatever means he deems necessary, and success will see him rise further up the ranks of the shadowy organization.

Inventory: Nothing in particular beyond a fair amount of funds.
Other: This is Hwang Jang Lee, who’d later go on to play Thunderleg in Drunken Master, performing an approximation of the Eagle Claw as the main antagonist in Snake Under the Eagle’s Shadow. This, meanwhile, is Frankie Chan (in the yellow robes) showcasing the style with more obvious grabbing displays as the main rival in The Prodigal Son.
Right I was waiting for @Silver Carrot to post, giving him a chance to react to a person declaring law of the jungle and another literally taking the mcguffin and running away with it somehow while surrounded by people who'd be angry at this and then I got distracted by other stuff. I'll post something along the lines above tomorrow or so, within 24 hours.

As for the title picture, I'd suggest getting rid of the Royal Rumble/Hardcore belt since it's usually not a good idea to oversaturate titles. Instead the Rumble can be used to determine a champion should a title be vacated or determine a #1 contender or give someone some outstanding privilege or another. As for the tag belts, I'd add the notion that they technically have more power than the Intercontinental champion but only if they operate in unison and via uniform agreement to play on the usual unlikely pair aspect.
Sure, no problem m8.
@Algorhythm
Right, so going by other characters and whatnot I decided I wanted to play someone a bit different and made this.

Kinda funny how a game clearly labeled a kung fu fantasy with a clear chinese style has two very obviously not chinese PCs. But yeah, lets add another chinaman to the party.

Name/Nickname: Gao Meng
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Political Affiliation: Neutral

Fighting Style: Informally referred to as the Gate-Breaking Fist, primarily by its user, Gao Meng’s style is the product of small village schools from the Nine Peaks Valley in the far western peninsula, unaffiliated to major organizations such as the Grand Temples and taught only within that territory. Though by no means well known, its down to earth origins as a means of protecting the land and its people from rebellions, large bandit groups and even potential invasions make it a very practical and effective martial art, particularly when refined through a competitive atmosphere between schools.

Efficiency, economy of movement, proper positioning and generating explosive bursts of power to strike the opponent down swiftly are the core tenets of the style. It relies on simple straightforward techniques, always keeping defense in mind, and practitioners are taught how to fight effectively at all distances and how to target the opponent’s body at high, medium and low levels. Though it has a solid grappling element as any complete school worth studying, it is primarily focused on countering grappling-heavy opponents and quick sweeps and unbalancing techniques to complement its focus in delivering crushing blows.

It has earned its name for both its aspect of "opening" an opponent’s guard, typically forcibly as though crashing through a gate, rather than taking no action if one finds no way around it, and because of Gao’s predilection for using its powerful short range techniques such as shoulder strikes to blast down doors as a way of making a dramatic entry when challenging schools. Weapon-wise it has a strong lineage of staff and spear practices, arms commonly handled by peasants, but Gao’s skills in these areas are merely adequate and pale in comparison to his dedication to body strengthening and applications of unarmed combat.

Personality: Loud, adventurous, fearless, full of energy and straightforward to the point of rudeness, it is all but impossible to mistake Gao Meng for an ascetic or an introspective martial master, let alone someone involved in court intrigues. An errant young man who craves excitement and to see the world beyond the reaches of his native village, he is supremely confident in his fighting skills and sets out to prove to everyone who’ll listen that the martial arts of Nine Peaks Valley are the greatest. And well, if they become known as the Gate-Breaking Fist because of his exploits, that’s just peachy in his book.

History: The son of a regular farming family in the relatively ample valley of Nine Peaks in the western peninsula, Gao Meng was brought up in a fairly no-nonsense environment and the village’s martial arts school was his main reprieve from what even as a child he saw as a dull life. The other were the infrequent trade caravans from outside the area, which brought stories of the outside world. Tales of military and martial exploits, many of them wholly fictitious or wildly exaggerated, were passed down to the delight of the area's youth, but for Gao they were more than simple entertainment. They became an obsession.

Dreams of glory drove him to train ever harder, and his constant progress fueled his dreams of glory in turn. He had seen the effectiveness of the valley's martial arts first hand, against both so-called experts that often arrived in the caravans and the Grand Temples' disciples when they were sent out to hopeless challenges as a way to break down their ego. He simply could not understand how so many men in so many villages would not seek out fame and fortune in a wider world. So many famous names and legendary schools, and he knew he had the tools to forge just as impressive a legend as any other. He just had to go out and do it.

It took him eight years after coming of age to feel truly ready to do so. He would not set out until he knew without a shadow of a doubt he was the best fighter in the Valley, he could not risk embarrassing his homeland's arts. It took him many challenges to many schools, many fights that at first threatened to sour relationships between the villages and which eventually made him something of an outcast, but he did it. There were eventually no challenges left in his homeland. Many didn't understand his obsession, a few still harbored some resentment over his actions, but the entire martial arts community of the area gathered to say their goodbyes.

Gao Meng, the menace of the Nine Peaks Valley, set out in the back of a random caravan with an unknown course towards the central areas of Daokai at age 26. He would bring glory and fame to his homeland and its martial arts or die trying.

Inventory: Nothing in particular.
Other: In case it wasn’t obvious the fighting style is heavily based on Bajiquan, depicted in a really cool scene here, though it also has influences and concepts from other schools of Chinese martial arts.
"HAH! ONLY THE WEAK NEED LAWS!" came a veritable roar from amongst the gathered warriors, a voice familiar to anyone who'd been paying any attention to the Filibuster Federation for the past three years. A few of the more political but overall less physically and/or martially imposing competitors swiftly made way, others who were either slower or had decided to stand their ground were shoved aside with nary a thought or a pause in the stride of the man in the lion mask. Long mane trailing behind him dramatically, the Lord of the Wild, the Savannah Savage, The Great Leonidas had arrived to preach his ways. And they were simple ways.

Paying no attention to his rivals, Leonidas took a pen that just happened to be nearly dry and scratched down at the very top of the page, half in ink and half in torn paper: "RULES OF NATURE". Having done this he flicked the pen aside, beaning a camera right on the lens. He was a divisive figure, the appropiately-titled Savage. On the one hand, very few people actually want to live in a survival of the fittest scenario or be represented by what is very clearly an unstable lunatic. On the other, he's certainly entertaining in his unrepentant aggressiveness and, at the end of the day, his ideas more or less embody what the Federation is about.

"You can try and have as many laws and and whatever other pansy crap you want, you can try to have a piece of paper decide what's what, but at the end of the day we're here to fight and the winner decides what's right", he declared defiantly at the others, arms spread wide and muscles flexed tight in a pseudo come-at-me pose. "And dammit that's the way things should be! If you want something you go get it, if you want to keep something you fight to keep it and if you're too much of a bitch to do so you ain't worth shit, and that's all I got to say about that!", he finished, punctuating by mashing his sizeable index finger on the piece of paper.
Yes hello, I take forever to make characters but I'm definitely interested.
