After leaving Tahra on her own Ian went to find Darius again. They were both out standing on a makeshift platform that allowed them to peak over the wall without being noticed, and they could see an rather unwelcome sight. Ian spoke first "How could the guard have found us out already, it's only been a few hours?"

"Maybe if those friends of your weren't having a godsdamned party right outside the house. Did they even realize how close this place was to the castle" Darius had been grumbling ever since they arrived about how they were going to ruin the safehouse, seems he was right as just up the street aways was a contingent of the Royal Guard heading right down toward their little haven. "Maybe they're just passing by, a show of force after the escape?" That notion was quickly struck down when a bolt flew past their heads and they both ducked below the wall. "you'd best get to the tunnel. I've got to go burn the stores" with that they both ran in different directions.

Ian was heading to warn the other's and see if any are even capable of getting away at this point, along the way nearly stumbling over a passed out Jaques "Guy, we need to-oh for the love of..." He quickly threw the small boy over his shoulder and looked to the princess "Tahra, we need to move, we might've overestimated how safe this place was for a group this big" as if on queue the guard outside began banging on the gate that lead into the courtyard "We need to leave now, there's another way out of here around back" He motioned for her and the knight with her to follow before taking off around the house.

At the same time the gate finally gave in and the soldiers of the Royal Guard began to come through, easily spotting the group of drunkards and moving to try and capture them. Their numbers were too much to fend off, leaving only one option for anyone that wasn't too drunk to stand.
uh, Hi

Hey anyone not running off with the princess' group feel like getting caught up in a guard raid?
@Dodi do 900 Actually a stealthy thief guy could help you get around if that's the case. Mayhaps you could start with Tahra's group then split off along the way, and maybe with my character to along to help?
Considering Tahra is the only one that hasn't seemed to have taken an immediate disliking to him, Ian will probably be going with her...
You could say he STOLE her heart...

I'll go back in the corner...
Ian nodded when the stage driver gave him a name, he's been in this business enough to know when someone's not being completely straight with him but he wasn't about to press for a real name right now. He was prepared to settle for the short journey when the fisher merc came up wanting to take a seat in front as well, which got him shunted. He only chuckled "Well I suppose he could take the seat if you insist, though in the interest of not dying at the city's walls I'm going to need to stay up here somewhere, thankfully, I do not mind walking" with that he hopped down and walked alongside the cart and guided them through a route to the western merchant entrance of the city.

Ian flashed a small silver coin at one of the guards before pocketing in again, The guard gave a slight nod before waving them through, getting them around the currently heightened security. It wasn't long from there to the safehouse, once there he and a man named Darius, the "steward" of the house, opened the gate for the cart and quickly shut it when they got in. Darius then went to help hide the cart from prying eyes while Ian headed into the house to find Tahra. When he did find her he hesitated for a moment, seeing the state of her, he considered leaving her alone for the moment but decided to just talked to her now and she could have the night to herself if she wanted. He walked in to the room she was in and kneeled next to her "we should be safe here for a night or two at least but we should probably get a plan and head out in the morning...and hey, I already broke you out of that dungeon so it would be a shame to leave you now, so for what it's worth...I'm with you" He put a hand on her shoulder for a moment before standing back up "I'll let you grieve in peace, see you in the morning"
"heh, well that's an incentive" Ian smirked at Tahra's response to him. While she talked to some of the others that turned up he stepped up and nonchalantly rummaged around the cart's contents until he found a plain traveling cloak, throwing it over him to cover his normal clothes. By then Tahra was talking to him again "hmm, I can imagine. Still, I think I can get us a safe hideaway, though if our group is to consist of this many it might be a bit tricky. And speaking of the mage, and you for that matter, I would recommend ditching the royal garb for awhile" with that he heading around to the front of the cart and hopped up next to it's driver.

"Well I hope you don't mind if I ride up here with you. I know a road without checkpoints up ahead and a way into the city that won't give us trouble" He settled into the seat next to her, silently wondering how everyone was able to recognize who he was. Maybe it was his hair, he never really made that connection until now...he undid the cloth mask from his face and retied it as a bandana instead to cover his silvery hair "I'll just pass myself of as a hired hand if we run into anyone" he looked at her sideways and held out a hand "Ian"
Ian was about to response to the mage's remark about the city hideaway, but before he could yet another person stumbled upon their group and then, in what became a rather eventful five minutes, they were then joined by a person holding up there own head which startled a traveling merchant that was stopping by and then the Royal mage shot lightning in her direction after just paying a mercenary that was fishing in the river they had just come out of. This was really coming to be quite the spectacle.

But of course, given the situation, they could not remain for long. He tapped the princess on the shoulder again to regain her attention "We clearly cannot stay here, especially with this sort of excitement brewing up. The mage puts far too much faith in his guards, from the city to the border I can get you where you want to go, you need only pick a direction" While he didn't outwardly show it, he was getting a little anxious to move on and get away from the castle.
Ian coughed and sputtered when he finally pulled himself up to shore, and took a moment to catch his breath back after plummeting into a river. "not my worst escape..." He was actually caught of guard when he was pulled to his feet, starting and almost drawing his dagger before realizing that it was just Tahra asking for Ideas on their next move.

"heh, not even a kiss?" he joked. He still caste a sideways glance at the mage before answering "I've a hideout in the city, we should be safe there. At least for awhile, dunno if it'll stay that way if they start searching more"
