~Jadis Snowborn - The White Witch~
Jadis was walking down along the path seldom trod. Funnily enough that was the passage to her castle. The old castle in the far north of Narnia. The castle she now inhibited was more central. Built on the site of her great victory over the rebels. Some of the ice still carried blood in it. Slivers of a reminder what happens to those who defy her.
But now her hand was running over one of her statues lining the way to her old palace. There were a few missing from her collection. A few that had been freed in the war. The lion had been too greedy though. During the time he was undoing her spell, she was destroying the army sent against her.
A pity really. She missed those statues. But at the battle she had gained new ones which she had placed in their stead. Jadis smiled a cruel smile. She wondered if Hans would make a good statue. Would his fear be captured in the stone? The desperation? It sent thrills down her spine thinking about it.
She looked up at the throne in front of her. A soft smile appeared on her lips as she looked at the monument she had made. An ice sculpture of herself was sitting in the throne. In her lap was two young girls, laughing happily.
Jadis walked over and gently caressed one of the girls heads.
"Elsa.." she looked at the other one and patted its head as well.
"And Anna... I miss you two little devils.." A tired smile appeared on her lips as she sighed and turned around and walked towards another room.
Inside was a few assorted items that used to belong to the girls. Jadis played with the toys for a little while before getting up and walked out. Her previous smile was gone, replaced by an emotionless and cold face as she summoned her chariot and started riding down towards her new castle again.
It did not take long until she was back outside her castle. The two Minotaur guards gruffed and fell to one knee as she passed the red entrance. Laughter stopped. Footsteps fell silent. All around her people bowed in both respect and fear. She could still see some animosity after the events thirteen years ago. A lot of people had died, but most had fled the field when Susan fell.
Her commanders had acted on their own and had given chase, causing more death and suffering. She felt no remorse though. They were rebels, traitors. Only a stroke of, she did not know what, had commanded her not to kill everyone involved. It went against her judgement, but it had still happened.
"What news from the governors?" she commanded to know from her aides.
"Nothing out of the ordinary. The quotas are being met. Production is going along as wished. The crops are doing slightly worse than expected but is negligible."
Jadis nodded and listened to the dwarf. She tapped on her staff, thinking. The good part about having the governor system was that her aides could not lie to her, but it was more tiresome to listen to.
"Good, report to me if anything changes." she said and stood up and walked out to the back of the castle. She stood in her room for a while and looked at the pillar of ice. There was a figure, a person inside of it. The person looked calm, peaceful.
Jadis leaned forwards and gently kissed the ice where the person's lips were. The person, was in their mid twenties or so.
"Who knew things would turn out like this?" Jadis smiled softly and placed a hand over the other's hand before turning away and walked out with brisk steps.
She never liked this sensation. The physical feel of her powers diminishing, her strength becoming less. She familiar smell and sight soon came into view as she walked out of the wardrobe. She had never liked this place as she created a small blizzard around herself. Much too warm here.
It did not take many steps until she heard the fury of the 'Queen'. Jadis lips twitched. It was so uncouth to behave like this. Rage is useless unless directed to your enemies. This was acting like a child, or an insane.
She walked through the sea of servants as they scurried to make way for her. More than one of Mal's servants had been turned to stone for being rude. She sighed before pushing on the doors to the throne room.
"My, my. Our ruler is in a mood today. Say Jafar; what did you do this time? Burned her favourite book? Perhaps you want to borrow my snow and place it on her head to cool her off? We have more important things to do than this." She spoke with a slight tone of amusement, yet annoyance.
