Maeda Family Magic Techniques - The Maeda family have a long lasting affinity towards close range magic, physically enhancing abilities and spatial warping techniques. Junpei is no different, exceptionally gifted at spatial warping and close range magic. He is, however, one of the few Maedas to focus less on his own physical ability and more on his prowess with his dual kusari-gamas. His array of close range include "Elemental Bursts", such as a lightning surge and a short range fireball type of spells, to which he focuses mainly on due to the affinity of his Kusari-Gamas.

Martial Arts Expertise/Kusari-Gama Proficiency - Junpei has studied with both his father and grandfather to become a proficient martial arts practictioner. Adopting hsi grandfather's style of throws, kicks, and counters into his own style, Junpei is a skilled close quarters fighters, often closing the gap between himself and his opponent with the use of his spatial techniques or his Kusari weapons. However, the use of his Kusari-Gamas are all self taught and part of his own style that he has adapted from his family's lineage of hand to hand combat mastery. Nonetheless, Junpei is a force to be reckoned as an opponent.

Berserk Rage - Due to the duality and rather corrupting influence of one of his Kusari Gamas, Junpei can lose himself to his own rage. This often makes him more psychotic, deranged and sadistic, willing to hurt even allies and friends. However, his style is completely frantic with a frenzied and wild approach. He disregards his own well being and health, often taking severe wounds, because he just does not care in this state of mind. It is still unclear whether it's the influence of his Kusari Gamas or that he just harbors a dark, brutal side to him.

Junpei carries a pair of Mystic Arm styled Kusari Gamas known as "The Serpent's Fangs" that are sealed upon him. The chains, wrapped around his arms and connected to his soul. Although his family did not approve, he carried out the ritual anyway to their dismay.Both mystic have the affinity of Fire and Lightning at their disposal, both utilising them in their own way and enhancing any kind of techniques that use either elements.

The Crest Family Ability
The Crest family is known for its way of drawing out yokai. They use special techniques, some vocal and some using long-practiced rituals of the family, that draw out the supernatural beings or lead them away, depending on the situation. They are often quite useful on the field when things aren't going the right way. When using the vocals, the Crest family is able to match nearly every pitch, tone, and frequency needed in pulling out certain forces or leading them away. Ember has trouble with this, as she was never taught how to use such a talent and tends to accidentally use this ability without realizing it.

Hand-to-hand
Her hand-to-hand combat is mostly generic as she has not been trained for any special skills due to her Mystic Arms being long-range. What she knows is what she has learned off of others by either watching or being taught first-hand.

Like her family, Ember's Mystic Arm is a long-range weapon. Unlike her family, Ember has two. She carries twin pistols, one Zani and one Ame, that each shoot rounds of concentrated energy. The amo is only as never-ending as the strength and power of which Ember possesses.

As far as special attacks, only Ame can be used. When activated, the rounds of concentrated power become more condensed and have the ability to freeze a large area of whatever was hit, covering the area with a durable coat of ice. Though quite effective, this tends to drain Ember much quicker, and her recovery time extends by usually another few hours to a full day.
