Greetings everyone, I am Fallen of Nine. I have played rpg table top games for a long time but only ever dabbled in role playing by forum. With how my work schedule is now, role playing by forum seems a much more attractive option. My preferences range greatly and I am excited to see all the variety displayed in the interest checks. If anyone has any tips for getting started out or pointers towards the best role play section to start with it would be much appreciated. If anyone has a new player friendly game getting started I would be happy to join.

Well okay then... Not quite sure you would post any of that to try to say hello to someone. Anyhow assuming that it all sums up to Hi, Hi right back at ya!

Because that was the best thing to say to someone new or otherwise. I'd just ignore that Slenderman guy, he probably has some kind of issues he needs to resolve if he's literally pretending to be a meme.

Anyways! Welcome to RPG, Fallen! It's actually a pretty awesome community here, and I'm sure you'll have no troubles fitting in and finding games that interest you. I recommend checking out the aricles and guide section for roleplaying tips and check each RP section for the rules and standards that should be stickied near the top.

There actually is a tabletop RP section, but if you were looking for something that's play by post and not stat driven, I'd recommend checking out Casual as a good place to start your roleplay search. A great way to get an idea of how games work around here is to open a thread that looks neat or successful and start reading it. Of course, if you have any other questions myself and most other people will be happy to point you the right way!

Fears are beings of pure nightmare, horrors meant to terrify and scare humans. They represent a fear of humankind, such as illness, the unknown, religion, greed and obsession (just SOME examples). They boast many abilities, which only grow stronger as the Fear ages and gains influence in the world.Fears powers grow as what they represent becomes more feared or if knowledge about them spreads. This is, in part, why Fears like the Archangel and the Mother of Snakes were so powerful, because many people feared the Fear itself, or feared religion or seeing the dark side of yourself. Fears go through a few stages in life. First, they are (most of the time) a human being that kills a Fear. At this point their soul will become "infected" and slowly make them a Fear, at this point they are a Half-Fear. Half-Fears on their way to becoming a Fear have, among other things, sharpened teeth (a trait found in almost all Fears), black eyes, electrical distortion and interference (also common among Fears). Then, the Fear will consume a soul, at one point or another, of a being it kills. At this point, the Fear will unlock its realm and will be able to take servants. At some point, the Fear will unlock it's newborn form, a stronger form it can turn into to enhance his or her powers, to some extent. Then they will keep on growing and expanding their powers from there.

Any being can become a Fear, however, about 95% of all Fears were humans who has slain a Fear, and thus, humans have become the basic template for mesuring the effects of becoming a Fear, at least to Black Eden.--

That's nice. There's a time and place for that junk, not every single thread. If you want to keep hijacking people's threads, I really have no issues reporting it. If you want to RP, there's sections for it. What you're doing is spamming.

That's a funny way of welcoming someone. A persona is all well and good in roleplays, but this isn't your OOC, it's somebody's introductory thread and angling it towards yourself just makes you look like a child.
