Well, technically his opponent had taken one of the very few options Fury was expecting, he had come directly forward. The Fireen couldn’t believe his luck when he sent himself into the air though, that was just like a human diving into the water with sharks, why put yourself at a disadvantage? The Fireen was not one to question it; he just strode forward towards the incoming fists and threw his weight and strength into a swing to meet it, aiming to just blast his opponent back with the force of his attack by punching him directly into the incoming fists.

If they were both human, this would be folly considering Kanitah’s advantage in momentum, but Fury was supernaturally strong, so in actuality Kanitah could be a car flying towards him and still be blown backwards by Fury’s right fist impacting on his own.

The Fireen did not doubt his attack this time, you severely limit yourself when airborne unless you happen to be able to fly, because there are only so few movements one can make. Regardless, Fury still expected to be knocked back a little from the collision and set his feet into the petrified ground to make purchase.

The matching of force was unfortunate to say the least, Kanitah's spin was really more for show, usually people are taken aback by the high RPM in flight. When his fist was met with an incredible amount of force he didn't actually know what to do, and he was sent flying through the air. The horizontal momentum spun out of control, throwing Kanitah into a violent midair spin. As his face became parallel with the ground below, he noticed something. The ground was no longer there. "This backfired."

As his momentum was killed by friction he slowed down in the air and began plummeting into the pit, his face collided with a petrified web on the way down, flipping him upside down as he fell. He struck two more web strands before falling to the bottom, landing on his side in the dried stone and web with a loud crunch. "Holy hell. That guy packs a punch." The pundambayan looked upwards, seeing the cliff's edge outside of his reach. Had he really fallen so far? How deep do these pits go? Pushing himself back up to his feet he stepped over to the edge of the small stone he was standing on, looking down into the abyss. The horrifying truth is that he couldn't see the bottom.

"Too far to drop down. Too far to jump." The hero closed his eyes. "Yep." With a little pause he reached behind his back and pressed the button, dropping to his knees by the edge of the seemingly bottomless chasm. The engine is online. His mouth swung open and his head threw backwards, from his throat was the most guttural and pained scream. Every fiber of his body began screaming in protest, but unable to move to do anything about it.

Fury watched Kanitah fly off the cliff, shaking his fist a little to clear the pain as was to be expected after such a forceful collision. He looked down to find his feet had sunk a little into the ground, but not too much.

“Fuck you Old Man.” He muttered rudely, thinking if he had not slain his foe he had at least seen the last of him for now. Then he drew his energy-seeking attention to studying Khazna’s position, wherever that skinny fuck was now he had some explaining to do. Fury turned on his heel, an angry twist to his lips as he looked again to where the Ice-skating little fairy had made off to.

He spotted two distant figures atop another rocky island suspended by more of the webbing all around him. Though he wasn’t gifted with particularly powerful sight, he could certainly see that the duo were people he recognised, one the icy bastard who had started all of this and the other likely Khazna. He spat on the floor, just as a guttural scream pierced the air… and it wasn’t getting further away.

He looked back to the chasm his foe had fallen in, where a steady powerful energy was being unleashed. The Fireen could only answer by drawing his own energy, an energy spear beginning to pulsate in his hand. More and more power accompanied the scream.

“Shit.”

In the pit below the battlefield, Kanitah's body convulsed as thick piping of metal and thin plastic wiring made it's way through his muscles. It broke him apart and reconstructed him from the inside out, blood dripping from his mouth and nose as it made its way into his head. The bone restructuring was the worst part, everything that it replaced in him it moved somewhere else. It was an unbearable pain, like the torture from hell itself. "Aaaughh, by the name of all things good!"

The rings around his body began quaking, vibrating like some powerful train gradually building up speed as it rode down the rails. His pores leaked sweat, reminiscent of a fountain of water. "This had better be worth it!" Clones of the rings began pumping out of his chest, latching onto the pairs of rings that were around his body. His hands were totally encased in the rings as they migrated to them. Five total rings on his hands, each, and one on his shoulders. Every part of his body had the stock number of rings that he has upon full release of the Engine.

Both of his legs and his hands began to push upwards, slowly rising to his feet. At this point he could no longer hear himself screaming, there was no thought in this moment. It would take another few moments to be ready to move again.

Fury was walking towards the edge of the precipice by this point, his energy spear fully formed. It pulsated in his right hand, almost five feet in length. He looked down over the edge, spotting the massive energy signature barely moving down below, it had just about finished its work by this point.

“Fucker” Fury spat abusively, launching the spear straight down at his immobile foe, eager to score a finishing blow while he was barely able to move. It was aimed straight for his chest, angled downwards. Without seeing it coming Fury was fairly confident his foe was in for a world of pain very damn soon.

For good measure, Fury blasted the rock below him with energy and rocketed backwards; crashing through webs and landing on the petrified earth some distance behind as the side of the cliff pulled away and hurtled down into the chasm below, hopefully crushing his opponent while he was already wounded.

“Stay down this time Old Man.” Fury told the air, this time fairly certain there wasn’t going to be any more energy coming from down below.

Khazna nodded knowingly as the man confirmed his suspicions. He also paid close attention to Kholodny's seeming interest in the burnt out section of webbing. With this Khold erecting a ice wall for whatever reason. Though perhaps he sought to quell the smoke or freeze it, even though smoke being made up of visible tiny particles was impossible to freeze regardless of how cold the temperatures. Any more than one would freeze light really. The reaction to the smoke however was not as interesting as Kholodny's ability to form ice without giving any outward indication he was doing so. Only the unseen trails of energy emitting from the man’s core to the site where the ice formed gave any indication to what he was doing.

Now that was an interesting trick to be sure, and this Khold was offering more and more insights into his capabilities by the second. Though to be fair a less preternaturally perceptive individual might not have been able to see through this one so easily. As Khold finished talking Khazna quickly went through everything he had observed and learned from this one in the last few minutes. Khazna’s exceptional intellectual mind picking apart each smidgen of information, for, while much unlike his Fury comrade, Khazna did very little without a clear plan or forethought. Oh, this was not to say Mister Sunshine was some short of buck wild loose gun of a fool, otherwise he'd have no respect for the man. At least he was entertaining. But, Khazna himself preferred more subtle observation of any situation before acting. That is if he was able to.

Now from what he had learned of this Kholodny Zima fellow was, one, he (obviously) possessed the supernatural ability to control and manipulate water molecules, and primarily he knew how to freeze them and form them into ice sculptures. In other words he was a Cryomancers of some skill to be sure, and was quite capable of freezing the area around him. Now Zima had backed away on his little ice platform some 40 feet by Khazna's reckoning. Which probably placed his maximum effective range around that distance, but there was no way to be sure. Backing away also said two things; A, he was being cautious, and rightly so when meeting a stranger out in the multiverse, especially in a place like this. Only a naive or very confidant individual would not take some precaution.

B; however, spoke of cowardice pure and simple, and while that would not have been Khazna's first guess. Between running away from Fury (a wise option through and through), his current precautions, and Kholodny's own admittance. Khazna was willing to bet the latter. Beyond even that, it seemed the man was quite advanced in the realm of ice manipulation. Able as he was of projecting his will so-seemingly -casually. So the final diagnoses revealed a cowardly, yet potently powerful ice bender. In the end it sadly meant Kholodny had to die, or baring that be captured. Not because he was a coward, no that was no reason to end his life. Not because he was even lying, in fact it was the revelation this one had possibly met the dreamer Skallagrim that made him worth taking alive, or if dead, with his brain intact.

Really it was the combination of cowardice, and his potent powers is what made Kholodny unpredictable. Unpredictable was dangerous in more ways one might realize. He might have otherwise simply 'invited' Kholodny to come with him willingly. But an unbound ice bender in the close confines of even a capital ship would spell trouble. He thought of questioning him further here. But dismissed that notion, they would simply learn more once he was onboard. The Angar-Rylla had means of coercing every detail of one’s memory quite easily. It would be a faster and more through method of intelligence gathering. All this Khazna thought and concluded in more moments it took Khold to finish his short response.

He sighed, rotating his shoulders in seeming boredom or fatigue. He would have rather have done this the easier less violent way. But The Gladius Dei Senechal was demanding results from this little trip. It was nothing personal really, he had a feeling he might have even liked this Khold fellow....Khold...Coldy....AH NOW HE GOT IT! Khazna smiled at that and wondered how he had missed that the first time, his mind had been preoccupied he reasoned.

He straightened and bowed politely again, "I thank you for your information, you have been most helpful." He did not ask who this Stribog was, as he still noted that second string of fate inside this one man and decided that Khold was indeed more then met the eye. Another helpful detail Khazna filed away in his mind for latter assessment. As Khazna lowered his gaze he fully took in the tower of ice, and more importantly, the fissures of cryokinesis energy that allowed the manipulation of cold by reducing the kinetic energy of atoms and thus making things colder.

Khazna had fought a handful elemental benders in his time, and in his experience those who manipulated ice where the second most troublesome. Second only to aeromancers in difficulty of defeating, sadly for Khold, Khazna had trained and adapted to specifically fight those who wielded such supernatural powers. If he was half as much a coward as he claimed, and of course recognized what Khazna's swords were forged of, he might have wisely fled by now.

As Khazna had bowed, keeping his eyes on Khold the entire time, his hands had nonchalantly placed his hands at his side. Then all in one quick motion one who had not been paying close attention would have missed entirely, Khazna fell forward off his pillar of rock, then crouching his legs at the knee, he pushed off the edge of stonework. In one fluid motion his right arm flashed freeing Serenity from her sheath. Khazna's path of course sent him straight toward the ice tower, which at this angle blocked Khold's view of Khazna entirely.

He hit the other tower with both feet planted before him, and then aiming for a fissure where the strands of cryokinesis energy bound the tower into its current state, he cut right through a segment of ice, and through that very strand of energy. The effect was instantaneous, with most of the tower instantly dissipating into whiffs of water vapor. In essence Khazna had dispelled the ice tower, which inevitably caused Khold to free fall, along with a few chunks of ice spared from the dispelling effect. Of course so was Khazna, but the drop was only a couple feet off the ground, and he was expecting the drop.

He fell into a crouch which turned into a roll and sprung to his feet in one graceful motion, the whole maneuver taking no more than 2 and a half seconds, most of which spent in free fall. He had hit the ground mere second before Khold, due to his slight head start, though the man was still 35 feet away. Even with his abnormal speed he would never catch him before Khold hit the ground and readied some sort of hasty defense from the unexpected hostile action. He probably never imagined Khazna was capable of destroying his tower so quickly. An easy feat with all that time he had finding the focal point of energy.

So without a moment’s hesitation he threw his blade like a spear aiming for where Khold would fall a moment behind. Should it hit, the blade would easily pierce right through his lower abdomen. Normally he would resort to a mock blade, but there was simply no time. Whether or not it struck, Khazna was already sprinting forward, mercy flashing free of its scabbard as he ran, and if it missed it would pierce another pillar of stone behind it.

If Khold managed to arrest his fall entirely with a fancy slide of ice or another, Khazna would simply throw his blade to wherever he stopped. Meanwhile he made sure to find another focal point in the fibers of energy around him should he need it.

The last of the cables tore through him and he let out a deep sigh of relief. Opening his eyes and staring upwards at the hole in the planet above him. As the process finished the pundambayan choked up the rest of what remained in his throat, and in his nostrils. It flowed off of his face and off the sides, staining his cheeks and beard with the dark color. The thick brown and oxygen rich blood fell to the ground with a few drips, staining the threads below. Screaming was followed by a calm and foreboding silence, the rings themselves calming down and settling into their new positions. Each set interlocking in one point in the middle to allow for full strike zone coverage.

Looking back down at his hands and body he saw the metallic cables pressing against his skin, his outermost organ was stretched thinly across the top of it. The shreds of what remained of his shirt fell off of his body to fully reveal his transformed state. The muscle that had been so thickly present against his skin was now mostly replaced with metal pseudo-muscles, in some places they had actually torn through his skin. Where there had once been pain, however, was a pleasing and dreamy high.

Several deep breaths passed his nostrils and mouth, and long exhales followed. The Pundambayan pressed his clenched hands together in front of him. Knuckle to knuckle and with his eyes closed."Focus, Kanitah. Focus. You're in a bad place right now, and you can't lose yourself to the Power. Focus. Power is a means to an end, it is not everything. The man controls the power within him, the power does not control the man. A man who loses himself to the power is no longer a man, but a puppet." Another deep inhale and he opened his eyes again, looking upwards at the hole. Another blast was coming down!

It slammed into his chest and exploded around him, blowing his skin clean off and tearing up the ground below him. The cables underneath his flesh were fully exposed to the air now and blood oozed its way between them. The pain in his eyes was great but he did not scream. Kanitah just released a slow and deliberate breath, looking down at his devastated chest. "I may have misinterpereted his ability. If I hadn't had the engine, my body couldn't have taken that."

The rock began falling towards him, there was little chance that he could withstand it striking him. He had hoped to get out of the hole immediately, but survival was the first priority. Letting his legs go limp underneath him the only way to escape an attack when you can't force yourself to move. Is to not move at all. The pundambayan leaned forwards as he fell, letting his body drop into the pit.

Fury spat on the ground, feeling the energy signature of his opponent move and then fall further from his senses. He still had an uneasy feeling that the older warrior was still alive, the massive increase in power was enough to convince him of that possibility at any rate, but the Fireen was at least confident he had gained himself a significant respite.

His fist clamped down energy on a nearby structure of rock and he dragged it over to his position, melding it into a sort of throne facing the edge of the cliff. He sat down upon the petrified throne, waiting for Khazna to finish up his business so they could get off this wretched planet. His fingers drummed on the side of his chair, and he closed his eyes to better feel any residual energy around him. He needed some time to recharge.

Several hundred feet he fell, reaching terminal velocity as he plummeted into the abyss below. As the wind blew bast his face he waited patiently for his body to no longer protest moving. The numerous strands of hardened webbing rushed past him, gradually coming closer and closer to the pundambayan. Then, just before crashing into one at full speed, his hands swung outwards and latched onto it. It yielded and shattered from the force and he continued falling, catching hold of another bridge on the way down he swung himself forward. Into a wall of stone and web, with one hand he punched a hole in it and pulled out. Repeating until a gap large enough to envelop his body was formed, and he pushed himself through.

Kanitah sat there for a minute, catching his breath. "My skin has been blown open, when the engine is deactivated I'm likely to collapse from shock." Looking down he saw the wound and the stained strands of metal where his muscle once was. He reached into his pocket and pulled out another shirt, he always had a couple in his pockets because he's always losing them. Whether by choice or by chance. "It won't prevent me from bleeding, but it will at least make me look less ghastly." Slowly pulling his shirt back over his torso he let off a few slow breaths, readying himself for what he was about to do.

With his foot against the wall he shoved off and leapt to the other side of the chasm, grabbing ahold of a small rock face. Above ground, he was a few dozen yards behind the location where Khazna and Khold are. Looking towards the ceiling he saw that only a few thin strands of light fell down from above, he was underneath a coat of webbing. That just means he'll need a bit more speed to break through. The pundambayan smirked to himself, looking down at his feet from his hanging position. That wasn't going to be a problem.

Rocking himself back and forth be swung in place on the dangling rock, causing it to slowly move from side to side in its suspended state. With one quick kick backwards he flipped up onto the stone and caught some decent footing again. This planet was crazy, he wondered just how far down the actual ground was. Or at least. Where the planet was. Because there's no way this is just some big ass spiderweb in space. It had to be made on something. He hoped. Floating space spiders that could form web from vacuum was a terrifying concept.

"Alright, here we go." Now was the time to escape, Fury was up above and he hadn't pursued him into the pits. Good, that just meant navigation was easier.

"Three." Lowering himself to the ground he readied for a powerful jump.

"Two." His legs tensed in preparation, the rings themselves shimmered lightly against the darkness of the pits.

"One." The rock exploded from the force of his jump, Kanitah launched himself into the air at just below the speed of sound. Rocketing towards the cover sheet of webbing he hadn't gained enough boost to actually get to the top. "No worries!" He shouted, the sound feeling lagged behind as he soared upwards. With both of his arms he thrust forward and grappled the wall for a split second, throwing himself upwards in almost Spider-Man fashion, maintaining a portion of his speed as he made his way towards the surface.

Twenty yards.

Fifteen yards.

Ten yards.

Five yards!

With the sound of cracking web and rock he broke through the surface and clung to what remained of the shattered webbing, pulling himself out of the hole he laid on his back and stared at the sky. "Aha!" His voice rang out, celebratory shouting and all that. The hero sat up and stared about a football field's length forward at Khazna and Khold in the distance. "Fury must have come with backup. Cold-y had better be tough enough to take him, or else me saving him was for nothing." For a moment he just sat there, staring into the beginning fight of Khazna and Khold. Knowing that he would have to get up sometime and go back to combat the Fireen.

Kholodny sighs as the man in front of him drops off of the pillar. "Really? I had hoped it wouldn't come to this." Of course, Kholodny can't actually see what Khazna does after he drops and the few seconds in between hitting his pillar, but with a sudden motion like that, from a man like that, it has to be an attack. That's fine, Kholodny feels like he can handle pretty much anything thrown at him right now. Of course, that's before he felt his pillar being severed.

As he felt the strands of his ice being cleaved in two by Khazna's sword, he gasped! "Oh no! Whatever will I do!" His hands go up in mock horror on the side of his face as the pillar of ice reforms behind the sword as it passes through. There was no falling here. When Khazna takes his swing at the magic threads binding the pillar together, it cuts them, no debating about that. However, Khold knows when his ice is broken, after all, he has control over it and a literal God of Ice and Wind pulling his strings. He knows everything about the ice that he makes. And Kholodny has been doing ice for as long as he has been alive. For almost 30 years Kholodny Zima has been forming, reforming, and destroying ice. By this point, it comes as naturally to him as breathing or blinking. For something like this, fixing that what has been destroyed? It's more of an instinct than a thought. So to say that reforming the pillar took little time would be an understatement. As Khazna sliced through the threads of the pillar, Kholodny was already reweaving them behind the blade. By the time the blade made it out of the other side, the pillar was close to sealing itself behind. It was finished long before Khazna hit the ground.

To add to it, remember, Stribog is a god of Ice andWind. Kholodny can also manipulate the air, to a degree not too much less than that of his ice. Had he decided to not repair the pillar, the wind would have carried him down far slower than a normal human could even think of falling. Of course, there's absolutely no way that Khazna could know this, considering Kholodny has not showcased anything even close to wind based thus far.

"This guy is trying to kill me. Sweet." Kholodny begins to think as the pillar reforms. "I could run or fight. This guy is military, which means he'll chase me. Can't let an objective go once you get a hold on it. Fight it is." And there we have it. It's that simple. Kholodny Zima is a coward. Stribog, the God of Ice and the Four Winds, is not. Khold is still at 50 percent assimilation with his god, and at that level, there is hardly even a question between flight or fight. Its either kill or be killed out in the Russian Winters, and it is no different on the battlefield. At least, that's what Stribog tells Kholodny, and Kholodny trusts Stribog more than life itself. At this point, Khazna is about to hit the ground.

As Khazna lands, Kholodny begins to edit his pillar's makeup. Cut through magic? That's fine, we'll nix the magic. Khold's 'magic' so to speak, normally serves two functions. It spreads ice, and it makes ice permanent. Well, permanent as far as melting goes. It can still succumb to breaking and damage, but it is incredibly strong. Stronger than steel for sure. Taking out the magic makes it normal ice. Well, normal ice at 420 degrees below. Which means this ice is made out of few key components. Oxygen, Nitrogen, Hydrogen, and everything else in the air. His ice is far more than just normal water vapor and Kholodny would honestly be offended if you suggested as such. He's honestly not sure if this plan will work, but by the time Khazna's landed and thrown the sword, the outside of the front of the pillar has become a barely steaming, slowly melting sheer surface, as the more gaseous components of the ice begin to rapidly heat back up, though in the incredibly short time frame since removing the magic, barely any of it has had a chance to seperate back out.

This change was to accomplish one thing. Protect the magic inside the pillar by getting rid of the magic outside. As the blade pierces the outside of the pillar, it begins to sever the magic in front of it. Kholodny, not being able to reform the magic in front of a blade like that, instead shaping the ice crystals above the blade. What shape? A wedge pointing down. The ice crystals immediately change into a wedge, pushing the blade part of the sword down, following it as it passes through the pillar, the threads and ice reforming behind the hilt. As the sword travels farther through the thick pillar, the wedge forces it to go at more and more of an angle, until the blade is forced into the ground, before it exits the pillar, below the bottom of the ice. This was accomplished by the time Khazna had managed to reach the pillar.

Kholodny stays where he is, not looking over the edge. Oh no, that seems like just waiting to get a sword in the face. Instead he just calls out. "I'll warn you once, and only once Khazna! If you've ever read a history book you should know. Don't EVER underestimate the Russian Winter!"

Fury was completely unsurprised when his opponent pulled himself from the chasm despite being sliced and diced by his powers and smashed about by the Fireen in general. Instead he raised one hand to his forehead and lent down on his hand, resting his elbow on the thrones arm.

He wasn’t moving much, but the energy signature was enough to tell Fury what he needed to know, his opponent had actually increased his strength despite all his injuries. The Fireen shrugged internally; at least it would be more of a challenge now.

However, Fury was already tired of fighting; this wasn’t getting him any closer to his final goal anymore. Khazna was tied up, and the Fireen had half a mind to go obliterate his opponent so he and the Commander could get what they had come for in the desolate Spider Webs and then get back on track.

With an internal sigh he stood, shattering the chair as his feet touched down on solid ground, debris swirling around him like a small personal tornado. Energy surrounded each chunk of rock, and the Fireen was preparing himself to launch it at his opponent. It began to build up centrifugal force as it span around his body, and the Fireen clenched his teeth at the effort.

"Alright, with the rings I have I can almost break the sound barrier." Kanitah thought out loud, pushing himself back up to his feet and looking at the three rings that were wrapped around them. "I might need more speed. Those blasts could kill me if I'm not careful." Taking a little time he pushed two rings from each his knees down to his feet, bringing their total up to five per foot. Giving a little test swing he smiled as the wind started to part in front of his foot. "That aught to be more than enough to keep up with Fury." From his pocket he withdrew the cables again, sticking them into his ear and laughing a bit. To be honest, he was having more fun than he's had in a long time.

The music leaked out through the buds, something full of energy. Perfect fit for the mood of the fight.

Kanitah leaned forward, leading with his left leg and sliding his right leg backwards across the ground. The readied position of a sprinter. Fury was over that hill, and likely draining energy to make himself stronger. If Fury was left to get stronger then Kanitah might not be able to put him to the ground. With a quick shove he threw himself forward on his feet. A sonic cone wrapping itself around him as he rushed forwards through the dueling pair and straight towards where Fury was. Talking at this speed would be totally fruitless, so he just gritted his teeth and smiled.

The cone broke with the sound barrier and Kanitah's speed reached its current highest. How high is that? 1080 mph.

It was as though the hole he was knocked into wasn't there at all, his momentum carried him across it without losing a beat. There was no sound but the screaming of the wind in his ears, and the sight of the Fireen with spinning stones was not at all what he had expected when he crossed that hill. Nope, no time to slow down. Crouching lower as he sprinted he brought his right shoulder forward, grabbing his right hand with his left and turning his body to make a battering ram out of his shoulder. Once he struck the spinning stones he was either going to be thrown away like a ragdoll, or he was going to carry enough force to tear right through and strike Fury with his shoulder at mach speeds.

Khazna noted immediately a wave of energy had started to rebuild the ice even as the focal point of power collapsed in on itself. The kinetic energy of the pillars atoms had not sped up to normal, as a result effectively remaking the tower much faster than Khazna had thought possible without line of sight, another factoid to file away and consider. With the pillar of ice still standing however Khazna could not physically follow through with the actions he had planned to carry out. His feet still braced against the ice he kicked off the surface aiming back and to his left. He landed on another giant sized spider web thread then kicked off of that one an instant later, to leap to another column of web that carried him far to Kholodny right some 36 feet away now visible to his opponent. At this point Khazna had become hardly more than a blur of motion hardly visible to the human eye. When Tablurath had first arrived here, he had found it a bleak, depressing, colorless landscape. (Not counting the strange aura of raw power that seemed to leak below the realms surface which was invisible to everyone but him anyway. It was still an improvement to rainbow pony land)

There was another thing he did notice right away, however, since leaving the false gravity of his capital ship. The gravity here was lower than nearly any other world he had visited, barring uninhabitable moons of near zero gravity of course. This translated to Tablurath weighing almost half of what he might normally weigh, and another unseen benefit; he was even faster here than normal. The weights he wore that normally kept him from exceeding his safe limit also weighed significantly less. This he quickly contributed to his revised plan in light of recent events. Translating to what would look like he was almost teleporting from web strand to web strand, not quite entering the break neck speeds found in flash point as he estimated he'd still need to remove the weights entirely, a dangerous move in a place like this. He didn't want to run off a cliff after all! Still to the human unenhanced eye, he would be near impossible to track while moving.

The tower of ice had offered his target a momentary sanctuary from direct confrontation and Tablurath's preferred fighting style. So he would have to improvise, he landed standing on a strand of web just a little over 11 feet off the ground and 30 feet from Khold.

"I'll warn you once, and only once Khazna(Really? How do you know his other name?)! If you've ever read a history book you should know. Don't EVER underestimate the Russian Winter!"

Knees bent and ready, Tablrath only responded. "I don't know who this Russia is..." He started even as he dashed to his left again, before jumping to another strand of spider web 5 feet up and now 28 feet from Khold in one blur of motion.

All the while Tablurath's accelerated perception kept track of his target, not his hands or feet, since he knew this one needed no such motions, but the raw cryo energy bounded in his form would be the Cardinals only hint. With his speed and enhanced sight Tablurath possessed a potent defense, but he needed to go on the offensive if he hoped to bring the man down and in one piece. Thankfully there was another weakness he could exploit. Like a pin ball he sprung from his current petrified web strand to the next. This one connected between another two larger pillars of stone that dotted the landscape 16 feet away from Khold 8 feet above him to his right. Tablurath landed on the side of the strand with his left leg bending to absorb the impact of his jump, already posed to kick off in a moment.

"But it sounds really disappointing, also who the hell is Khazna? Tablurath remember!" He finished as he pulled Mercy free of its sheath.

Since leaping off the side of Khold's ice pillar, he had been quickly but relentlessly moving around to Khold's right while maintaining a higher and higher elevation. All done in the time span of 2 seconds this would give the cryomancer plenty of opportunity to intercept him he knew. Something he fully expected and was prepared for. More importantly his bid to go higher might very well force Khold to do the same to maintain distance, something Tablurath was counting on. Still if his opponent did nothing but stand there in his short time left to himself, Khazna would leap off the edge of the last web strand aiming directly for Khold. Clearing the few feet between them in the blink of an eye, with both Serenity and Mercy becoming a blur, the first sweeping cut across aimed from lower right of Khazna with his left hand blade, sending it sweeping up to cut deeply into Khold’s forehead cutting his brain in two, it’s natural properties also weaving through the natural aura of cold around Khold, absorbing the unnatural cold to leave it’s wielder unperturbed by it. The next blade was already aimed, but not for Khold, but the ice at his feet. Stabbing through it, should it hit, thus effectively imbedding the sword in the ice and offering a unique platform for Tablurath. That following the sword strike to Khold’s head, one he would find hard to avoid if he allowed Tablurath this close in the first place.

Fury continued to spin the rocks driving them to lethal speeds in a flurry of death all around him. He began to light up the local area with a blinding blue energy which was characteristic of Antireen control, the art with which Fury was currently manipulating the rocks into sharper more deadly projectiles. It was then that his opponent decided to make his presence known, once again charging with his brute-force attack. Fury was amused to find a foe that fought like he did when enraged, at least, a small part of him was anyway.

Obviously the Fireen was not well equipped to deal with an opponent moving at such break-neck speeds, but his energy sensing abilities gave him a lot of forewarning to what was coming. It was at least enough for him to set his feet into the ground, bending at the knees, he struck his right hand forward in the direction his opponent was fast approaching.

Obviously, his opponent was moving way too fast for him to confront him easily, but high speed has a major limitation and that limitation is agility. It’s pretty damn hard to change direction when moving at that sort of speed, at least suddenly. Fury relied on this when he set up his defence, a good offence. His right hand thrown forward was the necessary movement to launch the sharpened shards of rock he had formed directly in front of him. Now, the deadly sharp rocks flew forward at nearly three hundred mph, on a collision course with his opponent in a long stream of projectiles. If it would be enough to stop him would have to be seen, but Fury knew he couldn’t move out the way in time to avoid the charge if the rocks weren’t enough.

Did Kanitah expect Fury to not react? Because that's the thought running through his head as he charged headlong into a blast of sharpened stones. They started striking in damn near immediate succession, tearing into his body and jamming between the cables. Barely a quarter of a second into the charge he decided that this wasn't the way to go about it. If he kept running forward into this volley of stones he was going to kill himself. With one simple movement of his right foot in front of his left he let himself drop to the ground. Both hands slammed into the rock that Fury and Kanitah were on, his speed and force amplified six times with five rings. The hero was sent flying upwards at an angle above Fury, half of his speed was gone and the sound caught up to him with a boom.

Now, the ground itself was ruptured by the force of his hands slamming into them. Whether or not this would collapse downwards is yet to be seen. However, with the amount of speed he had and the number of rings multiplying his own weight and the force from his strike, it should explode like glass. If that happens, Fury will either fall into the hole or be forced to fly.

Meanwhile, Kanitah himself is airborn, the slap to the ground had sent him flying as well. Without being connected to the ground he was pretty much helplessly flopping about in the air for a bit. Until he struck a large strand of webbing and spun around it a few times, losing the energy from his sprint by converting it into horizontal movement. Kanitah draped across the web for a bit, staring down into another hole. "I don't like this planet."

Fury was pretty much certain his rocks were going to kill the older, shorter, opponent. That was until he somehow punched the ground and flew skyward at any rate, now the Fireen was left in momentary bewilderment before the very earth shattered at his feet, an after effect of the immense force thrown into the ground-ward attack. Even as the rock disappeared beneath him a glowing blue aura surrounded Fury, and his feet gently lifted away from where the surface had been. Suspended by his own energy-controlled flight, he looked upwards to see Kanitah dangling from a web, luckily for him, because he lacked the ability to fly and the ground was destroyed below.

Dramatically, the Fireen floated upwards, bringing himself level (though still at least fifteen meters horizontally from Kanitah) with the bearded fellow who was so determined to kill him. He watched him dangling a little uselessly in the web, high above the ground, and then considered his options. He continued to hover, moving forwards and backwards slowly while he was careful not to get stuck in the thinner strands of web all around him. In the end, he settled for simplicity, he flew backwards suddenly while unleashing a crescent of energy from his right hand. It was weak, but he hardly expected it to kill his foe, rather it flew towards Kanitah and at the last moment diverted to slice the web holding him suspended in two, likely causing him to plummet to the dangerous ground below.

Exactly what he had been waiting for too. For some reason, Fury hadn't been flying this whole time and Kanitah couldn't put a bead on the reason why. Forcing his opponent into the air to see how he moves is exactly what he had been working towards. The cut bridge was unfortunate, for a moment he dropped downwards. With one hand he latched onto the pillar that it was threaded between, sliding down it slowly. Turning around at some point by swapping hands on the pillar and turning his chest. "You know, Fury." Shaking his head to get the headphones out of his ears. "If you hadn't attacked Khold for no reason, you and I wouldn't be in this predicament. So I'll cut you a deal." With a swift kick to the left he opened up a foothold on the webbing, stopping his downward movement entirely. Or at least momentarily. "I'm not gonna kill you, but what I am gonna do is beat you until you apologize personally to Khold. And then I'm gonna beat you until you forget your own name." With a look that bore no uncertainty, no second thoughts about what he had just said, Kanitah stared at Fury with what could almost be equated to a giddy smile.

What he was really trying to do right now, is bide as much time as possible. The Pundambayan knew his limits, Darligrov and the engine kept him going until he shut them off. Though he grew tired his body maintained the same amount of force and speed necessary to continue fighting until he can't take the pain and exhaustion anymore. But Fury's limits were yet to be seen, and through a few rash assumptions he's been thinking about how he hasn't been flying. The first suspicion that he had was confirmed. Fury used his own power to suspend himself in the air, based on the glow that he had around himself. That means that he's expending energy. If Fury ran on limited energy, then Kanitah's best bet for defeating him easily was to outlast him.

If Fury didn't run on short amounts of energy, then this bit of respite as he stares Fury down was the best rest he can afford in combat. Underneath the webs and in the vast and seemingly bottomless catacombs below he might be able to get some time to rest. Though that would require Fury being down there with him, so he could keep an eye on his movements to prevent Khold and any other bystander from getting hurt by the Fireen. Continuing the statement from earlier he brought up that ugly little smile of his again. "Have we got a deal?"

“Keep talking.” Fury told him ominously; though he was wasting energy in flight he wasn’t going crazy with speed, barely maintaining his altitude as he floated around. He closed in on Kanitah as he clung to a nearby pillar of rock. There was a lot he could do from range, which interestingly was more of a weakness to his opponent then him for once. To start with, bombarding him with projectiles would be nice-

Fury caught in a web, and stuck. For a brief moment he considered incinerating the offending strand out of spite… but instead he realised flying wasn’t going to be easy here. He split himself from the sticky substance with a short pulse of energy and floated a little higher to escape the bulk of webbing.

“Fuck this planet.” Fury swore angrily, still keeping his eyes trained on the foe. He felt for the webbing all around him, wrapping his telekinetic powers around roughly twenty foot wide and varied sized strands of the stuff. It surrounded Kanitah on all sides, making it excellent for wrapping up his opponent. That was exactly what Fury tried to do when suddenly the webs glowed a bright blue and flew towards Kanitah at high speed, aiming to wrap him around the pillar he rested on. Many would try and hold his arms and legs tight to the pillar, others would simply add mass and annoyance. Finally the last five or so would try and wrap around his neck, choking the life from his body. They weren’t overly heavy, so his telekinetic powers were more than sufficient for seizing them, but they were tough to break apart without blades, they were the enemy of brute strength.

Fury smiled a grim smile.

That tell tale discoloration of the surrounding webbing, they flew towards him at breakneck speed. "Oh, sorry but I'm not into bondage!" This terrain, although it was terrible for his horizontal movement, was perfect for his vertical ability. There were hundreds of footholds and dangling strands that would allow him complete range of movement around this planet. Though there were numerous tendrils of web and dirt around him there wasn't much of a threat if they couldn't keep a good grip on him. Now was there? Kanitah's foot pushed off the spire and he let himself plummet into the pit again. Over place where the rock that he had previously destroyed was he fell into the hole, landing feet first on a wedge shaped fragment that had caught in another hexagonal webbed area. He slid down the stone and hopped down further into the pit.

Catching onto another strand and swinging into another wide and flat space of ancient webbing beneath the surface he looked up, panting slightly as he cleared his face. This entire fight he hadn't been brushing the web off of himself the strands had become tangled in his beard and eyebrows. It wasn't until Fury had gotten caught that he became aware of this fact. Perhaps the webs could be used by both parties. Fury had demonstrated a wide variety of abilities, starting with physical prowess he was almost as capable as Kanitah even with Darligrov. Combined with the ability to send waves of energy in numerous shapes and what appears to be telekinesis and flight. The old man frowned and clenched his fists tightly. He was getting to old for this kind of heavy thinking, the last time he had to actually sit back and analyze a fight was during the war. And that was decades prior.

It was the engine that put him at the advantage, but the terrain itself was useful. If only he could draw Fury into the underground, out of the open air and into a place where he could get area control. "There's no way it's gonna work, but." He thought aloud. In the most childish fashion this side of the multiverse. "Hey! Fury! You're not very good at keeping up with an old man! At least I have some spacial awareness!"

Fury’s brow furrowed. He had expected the webs launched at high speed to be more than capable of catching hold of his opponent, but never mind. He kept up with his opponent by following him through the air, though he made no moves until he reached his final destination. He was still talking. It was starting to piss Fury off. That was dangerous.

“Fine Old Man, let’s make this a real fight.” Fury was pretty sure his opponent hadn’t had the delight of experiencing his most powerful ability yet, he was about to though.

Fury dropped to the flat piece of webbing, which was fortunately not sticky in the slightest. It would make an ideal battleground for what he had in mind. He looked up, saw his opponent was nigh on twenty feet in front of him. Energy burst around his feet and he sped forward, using his momentum to drive a powerful downwards strike with his right fist towards his opponent’s forehead with more than enough force to kill an ordinary man outright. However, there was a subtle movement that would suggest to a trained fighter that this was only a best-case scenario attack, one shouldn’t be surprised if Fury had a counter already set for the inevitable defence he was likely to meet.
