(Since you all kind of showed what you're wearing, i will too.)
Iris waved at Josh when he walked in. Suddenly she felt self conscious of what she was wearing and tugged the sides of her
black dress nervously. "You look great, Josh." she said smiling. She turned to look at the time, it was exactly 8, and Iris clenched her fists. "Late...all of them." She greached for her coat just as she heard Raleigh and Mako run up to the door panting.
"Late." she accused them, just as Raleigh opened his mouth to speak.
"I can explain." he said, standing up. He actually looked really nice as well. His
outfit was nicer than anyone here. "Mako here couldnt keep her hands...or mouth for that matter, off me. I had to run here." he said it jokingly, but for those who knew the two were in a committed relationship...it was really disturbing. Iris frowned and looked at Mako, and her jaw dropped. The
dress she wore was stunning. She sighed. This was why they were together.
"Why would you tell them that Raleigh!?" Mako squealed, embarassed. Her face turned red and normally she wouldnt have reacted as such, but since this was a relaxed situation, she wasent trying to hide anything.
"Well it was either tell the truth, or get beaten by Iris. And i choose the first one." he said hugging her. Walking over to Jack, Iris whispered in his ear, "Remember when i said we were the hottest team...i think we've just been outdone." she said laughing afterwards.
Since everyone but Milo and Emmett were here, Iris grabbed her coat and said, "Well i suppose in addition to getting pummeled by me, milo and Emmett will just have to miss out on Ranger's night out." she said with an excited hop. "C'mon guys, lets go get wasted." she said, leading everyone out of her room.
Hong Kong city was more alive at night than it ever was during the daylight hours. THe group of Rangers got a few looks as they walked the streets towards Iris's favorite place to eat. She didnt know it by heart, but in a travel book Iris took with her when she went out was a good way to find it. The Restaurant was called
Sushi Kuu and in the little booklet it had a small description under the name that read:
A relaxed, convivial high-end Japanese restaurant – where else, having had omakase (literally "chef's choice" , which costs £80 or more), might you be asked if you want a humble rice burger to end the meal? This is after a long parade of delicate, beautifully presented dishes such as onsen tamago (slow-cooked eggs) with uni (sea urchin) and ikura (roe), chilled cod shirako (the squeamish might want to avoid this – it's cod sperm), chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) with uni, and both raw and lightly torched sushi, all conjured up by executive chef Satoru Mukogawa – a samurai descendent with film star looks. Lunch is busy, but a lot quieter in terms of atmosphere, with people ordering sushi and sashimi sets, chirashi rice and grilled fish or beef.As they reached the street of the place, Iris finally felt completely relaxed. It usually took some time to get completely unwound, but being here with all her new and old friends, had made it that much easier.
