Personality/Traits: She is the kind of girl that knows what she wants. She is lively and fun, and doesn't hesitate to do things. She is kind and thoughtful to others though can be sarcastic.

Short background description: Ashlyn grew up with a poor family (Her younger sister May, her mother and her father), who were only just coping because of her father's drug addiction. But, when they couldn't pay the rent any longer, they had to live on the streets. Because May was only 5, she died of malnutrition when Ash was 9. Her father son passed away from consuming too many drugs and alcohol. After these traumatic events, Ashlyn and her mother coped for another year until her mother committed suicide. She lived on the streets for a few more years, behind a burnt-down building. She finally picked herself up and volunteered for the experiment.

Personality/Traits: Rome tends to be on the quiet side, but when he laughs, its the sort that fills a room and makes everyone join in. He's a spacey kid that more often than not can be found staring elsewhere. Though he's not subservient, he does listen to his elders- but only to a point. He's reached the age where he understands rules and hierarchies but also understands his own desires and does his best to juggle both.

Short background description: This child is Rome Park, a boy with an IQ of 135. That said, he's no genius, but he is smarter than the average child. As with any other child born of great mental wealth, Rome did not have caring parents. His mother, having passed her smart genes to him, was rarely impressed with anything he did and busied herself with the feminist movement and her own work. His father was out of the picture, a man who couldn't take having both a child and a wife smarter than him, fleeing to marry his secretary. As such, Rome was allowed to peruse whatever he wished on the internet, at first having used it to make a nice garden in the backyard. He made good friends with the pool boys that changed over the summer at the house next door, and eventually, after over exerting himself with social ennuis reverted back to the internet. There Rome discovered a world of intelligence and ignorance and thoughts and just a lot of activity that spurred churning in his brain.
He came across an experiment detailing a curious idea and decided to sign up for it, easily forging his mother's signature of approval after having deciding against faking his age.

I'll post my character here in a bit. Also, do our dream versions of our characters look the same as they do in real life? Or can we change how they look in-dream?

Try to keep them similar at the least but yeah that's fine.

Personality/Traits: Mina has been born blind. As such, her world is composed of what she could hear, smell, taste and most f all feel the shape of with her touch. She doesn't understand the concept of color aside from what she was taught in physics class about it's wavelengths. Due to her handicap she doesn't make friends everywhere, but on the other hand those who have doubts about their appearance approach her quite regularly. Mina doesn't enjoy reality, often running from it into fantasies.

Short background description: Born in Scotland to a wealthy family, Mina had genetic damage to her optical nerves, never able to see. That fact made it easier for herself and her family to adapt, ash the girl never knew anything else. Her father's money could buy the specialized education she needed, but when talking with other kids in the neighborhood, she always had the feeling she was missing out on life. She started withdrawing from people and staying alone in her quiet, dark room, with only a handful of real friends visiting her every so often. She tried to volunteer for some experiments that could give her sight, but the nature of her disability ruled that out forever once identified. she was however forwarded to a different group of scientists, whose technology might allow her to experience the world in colors.
