I'd actually prefer that pictures are used. I say this because, the way that most people think is in pictures. If you can make what you're trying to convey clearer with pictures, then by all means.

I also like pictures. As I am a very visually orientated person. I like to be able to see or picture what I'm writing about.

Well how are we going to describe it while roleplaying? I like details in my posts involving my character and the things around him and what he uses. But my opinion obviously will not sway yours.

Example said The zombie horde was closing, the echo of the chopper's descent towards the building's roof had caught the unending hordes attention. As the chopper was now in the air, circling around the area before finally flying away and returning to base. I wondered, as my men stood by my side. What is all this for?

What we're saying is that we like details. Pictures allow us to visualize those details while we read them, b/c the writer added them in, presumingly, because he/she had some sort of visual representation.

Nondescriptive? When you're writing, you need to be descriptive.

I just feel like we're futurizing this too much and thinking unrealistically, for example using a vehicle transport to transport a six man team.

What do you mean not necessarily? If you don't describe what you're writing about, your readers won't be able to understand it.

You know what whatever man. You keep doing you and we'll keep doing us (that came out wrong). You're entitled your opinion and we are entitled to ours. And Sauron this is a game, this isn't real life. Not everything has to be perfect. Even if we set it up tht way we are bound to slip up sometimes.

So I was just passing through here, considering putting in an application for a pilot perhaps, when I got caught up reading this unfolding discussion. If you're not here to write, then what are you here for? We all chose words as a medium of entertainment to collaboratively portray rich an enticing worlds with our writing and I cannot imagine that I, or anyone else for that matter, would enjoy writing alongside someone who's advocating such a dry and tasteless narrative as what you presented in your example. In other words, you've killed my interest. "Oh no, random guy lost interest, why should I care?" you might be asking yourself, and you should care because if you've made me lose interest I can guarantee that you're eroding the interest of others here as well. They've simply invested more time already than I have and are not willing to let it go as quickly. So consider how your attitude is affecting those around you.

Everyone calm down? Each to your own, we can all say what we want and use what we want. Mage, cab you put the images in hiders? Sauron, it's spoken. Not spoke. You can use simple explanations and such.
