Oliver began sprinting from rooftop to rooftop when he heard the signal come in on the communicator, "hey fish-face, finally show up at the party? You want to do something useful help me get those things off of supes." He hung up and had a good laugh about poor aquaman. He sprinted till he reached a roof near the pier and pulled out an explosive arrow and fired it at the nearest tendril. When the arrow exploded the tendril blew in half and dropped into the water below. "Hey batman," he said, "I have a plan do you a bird I can borrow?" He said. He then headed after the batjet hoping this would work

Walt heard Aquaman and Green Arrow's voices over his Justice League communicator, and he spoke into his "Shifter is on the scene and ready for action. Did you say you needed a bird Green Arrow? I can change into one, which bird where you thinking of?"

He came to the area with the giant robot and Walt looked on in awe at the machine and saw Superman battling the robot. He was tempted to just go in and start fighting, but he had to wait for Green Arrow's response and go through with a plan in order to not turn the fight into complete chaos and cause incredible amounts of destruction to Metropolis. Now that he had took time to catch his breath with his jog, Walt was ready to get into the fight.

"Ummm...actually shifter when I said bird I was referring to one of batman's seemingly endless bird-themed sidekicks...but You'll work. Here's the plan," Green arrow said as he shook his head in amusement. "Turn into a pelican and come to where I am, I'll hand you a handful of explosive tipped arrows, You'll fly them over to the robot, I'll launch a thermal arrow which'll be attracted to the heat from yours and detonate once its in the area, so when the arrow gets near you spit the arrows at the robot and get the heck out of there got it,". Olli liked this kid, but he still had to learn the most basic rule of the justice league...Green arrow plans consist of arrows and bullcrap. Olli pulled out a few explosive arrows and got ready to hand them off to shifter. "Man I hope this works,"

Ambush Bug wasn't strong. No, he was a pretty regular guy, and he was still figuring out what the suit could do. Of course, the antennae served a multitude of purposes- including parsing for communication frequencies. No time to worry about what was going on on Metropolis's classic hits station, though, because Superman was in peril! And such a large machine left only one option.

*pop*

Ambush Bug reappeared at a junkyard, grabbing some welding equipment and a tiger saw...

*pop*

...and teleporting on to the giant robot's shoulder. He prepared to teleport away once the robot attacked- preferably into its inner workings. He held up his hand, signalling the robot to stop.

"Hold, citizen of another world! I, Ambush Bug, must request some ID if you want to enter our atmosphere lawfully! Otherwise, you WILL be placed under citizen's arrest!"

"if its flying to deliver some arrows to our destructive metal friend over in the water, then I have a form that will be faster and can fly, I'm on my way" Walt said to the communicator, and with those words he transformed into a red dragon, scaring several people who were close by. he took off into the air and flapped his scaly wings to pick up speed. Walt flew over buildings and soon spotted Green Arrow on the roof of a building close to pier. he swooped down and landed in front of Green Arrow.

"its me Shifter, I am in this form because I can fly faster and I have have hands that can carry the arrows" he told the archer hero and Walt held out his clawed and scaly hand to let Green Arrow place the explosive arrows in it.

"Hey fish-face, finally show up at the party? You want to do something useful help me get those things off of supes." The speaker was none other than Green Arrow. Of course it was him, he was the only person in the league who could combine being an utter bastard with a complete lack of wit so effortlessly.

"Oh good, our cut-rate Batman has arrived. The day is saved" Responded Aquaman sarcastically, making sure that the communicator line was still open. The Dark Knight himself would no doubt enjoy that one. Though Arrow did have a point, Superman had attacked the robot head on but now seemed to be in trouble. Aquaman could just make out what looked like a grimace of pain on the Man of Steel's face, and that worried him. It wasn't everyday you seen Clark in distress.

I hope you're watching Metropolis, your Man of Tomorrow is about to be rescued by the 'Fish-Guy'. . . But who am I kidding, it doesn't matter what I do, I'll still end up the punch line on The Late Show.

Aquaman grasped his Trident in a firm, two handed grip, ran to the edge of the building and leapt once more through the air, straight for the robot. His aim was magnificent, headed straight for the socket were the remaining tentacles emerged from the robotic torso. The King of Atlantis released a fierce battle cry, and at the last possible second thrust his Trident deep into the bed of tangled tendrils. There was a screeching of metal, almost like a scream, and two tentacles detached from the robot and fell silently into the waters below. Aquaman twisted his Trident first one way, then the other, hopefully ruing a great deal of expensive electrical equipment as he did so. The loss of two tentacles, and the nuisance he was causing, should hopefully ease the pressure enough for Superman to break through.

Lets see Green Arrow do that.

olli dropped the arrows off with Shifter and waited for him to line up the shot. Meanwhile he sent a suction cup arrow with a note tied to it at the passenger side of the batjet. It read, "hey bird brain meet me at the pier, :) -green arrow," then he sat and waited for the new recruit to show up. He looked and saw aquamans little show and just thought, "crap, i have to call the late show again,"

Eilidh MacLeod, Green Lantern of Sector 2814 - Currently re-entering Earth's atmosphere

It had gotten a headstart. That wasn't good. That wasn't good at all.

Eilidh incoherently cursed as she dove towards the blue ball that had once been her sole jurisdiction, sheathed in green light to protect her during re-entry. It had seemed innocuous enough as it was approaching Earth, but... A quick scan had revealed it to be something far more sinister. It had even seemed to realise her ring was analysing it, as it soon increased speed on its way towards her home planet, leaving her behind as she contacted the Corps for advice.

What she heard from them... Wasn't exactly reassuring. Apparently this... Thing had been sighted across many different worlds before, and soon after it arrived on them, they seemed to disappear. This, of course, was not something she wanted to happen to Earth as well, and she made quickly sped off after it. She didn't bother calling for assistance. After all, from what she'd learned about those tiny blue bastards in charge of things, they'd probably just say it was Sector 2814's problem, and thus she had sole responsibility for what happened.

Hurtling faster and faster through the air, she subtly altered her heading as she followed the ship's energy signature. It seemed to have headed straight for Metropolis... Good, that meant that at least it would be kept busy for a while. Whilst she wouldn't admit it, Superman was probably the most powerful being on the planet, and if anything could keep that thing at bay, it was him.

"...Oh, ye cannae be serious..."

The bolt of green light slowed down as it reached the planet's surface, and Eilidh's palm meet her forehead as she grumbled irritably. There was Superman, the Man of Steel, Earth's mightest hero... Being manhandled by the source of the energy signature, which seemed to be a lot more giant robot-y than she remembered it being earlier. At least the other Leaguers were figuring out a plan to save him, but...

"I swear, I leave th' planet fir a day and ye all go an' bugger things up, don't ye?" she growled, hovering nearby Batman and company. "I'd tell ye that this bazzer is prob'ly gonnae erase the whole fuggin' planet, but knowin' Bats 'ees already figured it oot."

once Walt had the arrows in his hand, he took into the air and flew straight towards the giant robot. he maneuvered around the metal monstrosity's tendrils and came up on the robot. he was now in position for Green Arrow to launch a thermal arrow to detonate them. with any luck, Walt should be able to take off quick enough to avoid being hit the explosion that the arrow would cause, even if it did hit him, he would increase his density to keep himself safe from the blast. now Walt hoped that Green Arrow's aim was as good he said it was.

Batman sighed as an arrow thunked into place on the side of the Batjet with Olliver's message attached. You'd think he would just stick to the communicator since it was working just fine moments before, but no he just had to show off by trying to shoot the bat-jet in mid-flight and risk the message not getting through if it missed.

"Robin, take the jetpack and go see what Green Arrow wants, but don't do let him talk you into doing anything stupi-" He paused for a minute and frowned even further "Well...knowing him that's actually an impossible order so...just do whatever it is well."

With that said he flicked a switch and the canopy retracted so that Madison could exit, then cycled through payloads again and fired a pair of blue-tipped missiles at the tentacles that were still managing to hold onto Superman. Provided they impacted there would be a bright flash of blue-hued light as ice raced up and down the alien robot's tentacles and perhaps even further on it as it was flash-chilled near instantly.

Hopefully the tentacles would be much easier to break out of if practically frozen solid, an effect he also hoped would slow the robot if the cold spread that far. Reverse-engineering Mr.Freeze's technology for any purpose was a lengthy and expensive process, but it did yield impressive results. He glanced over as Green Lantern arrived and started complaining and elaborating simultaneously.

"Considering it didn't make any sort of proclamation of conquest and doesn't seem to be part of a greater invasion force I thought the fact that it's probably here for planetary extinction purposes seemed too obvious to mention. I'm more interested by the fact that it seems a little too fixated on Superman."

A lot was going on. A whole lot. Even though Batman didn't seem too happy with Green Arrow, well... it was another superhero. A whole ton of superheroes were all here and it was hard not to be a little bit excited still. But there were far, far more important things going on. Even more important then Green Lantern showing up too. Superman was in trouble and Green Arrow hand a plan to help him out, and it needed her by the looks of things. Robin shot to her feet and quickly bent down to grab the jetpack out from under her seat. It also meant she got to use this, which was certainly a bonus. But still. Things were pretty serious! She had to help out as soon as she could.

"Don't worry!" she declared, as she began to strap the jetpack on. It looked and felt pretty light, which made sense since if it was too heavy it would way a person trying to use it down far too much, "I'm going to do everything I can to help out! We're all heroes here, there's no way it'll go bad!"

And with that, Madison clicked down to activate the jetpack. With a roar she launched out of the Batjet, feeling the air whipping past her as she tore upwards. If not for the training Batman had given her, she might have had trouble stopping herself(especially with how awesome it really felt). But she quickly held position in the air and then began to direct herself towards Green Arrow. From here, she could see what was happening even more... Superman really was having trouble with the robot. Well, she was going to help out however she could!

As she approached the archer, Madison called out to him.

"Robin here! What do you need me to do?!"

"Okay tim here's what I need you to do..." Olli said as he turned around and his jaw dropped, "uhhhh, your not Tim. Hold on just one second, red breasted robin,". He said as he shot his thermal at the payload walt just threw at the robot. The thermal came into contact followed by a orchestra of beeps and an explosion bigger than watergate. "Now as I was saying new girl. There is only one tendril left so I fire a zipline arrow over to that roof and you ride down it then I shoot an emergancy airbag arrow at your feet. They're will be about ten airbags which will inflate in a path in front of you. Jump across that and climb up to the top of the robot. When you get near the top plant this hacking arrow near a control box of sone kind so we can figure out what the hell it is. Don't worry about climbing I'll shoot arrows for footholds you can use. Good luck, oh and oliver Queen, green arrow, welcome to the team!"

Walt was rattled by the explosion but was unharmed, and now that the explosion had damage the robot some, Walt decided that it time for him to go on the attack. He shape-shifted into into a rhino-sized white tiger and made his his teeth and claws as hard as steel. Walt dropped onto the robot and thanks to his feline body, he landed gracefully. He instantly began to savagely attack the robot by clawing viciously at the machine's metal body and trying to maw at his foe.

"You like cats my big metal buddy?" he asked the robot as his claws tore into the metal and he was thankful to have his claws and teeth be as hard as steel otherwise they would have broken off against the metal. The robot's tendrils tried to knock him off but his feline reflexes allowed him to climb quickly out of the way from the oncoming blow. He then moved onto the robot's head and started slashing wildly at it, he was hoping to damage its programing and possibly make it malfunction. Ether way, he was at least giving his teammates time to come up with a new strategy.

Superman had always felt some manner of kinship with the Atlantean. Arthur Curry, much like Clark himself, was a child of two worlds. Although Arthur had been raised on the surface world by a human father, his mother was an Atlantean Queen. Clark imagined that Arthur had experienced many of the same hardships as he had growing up, when his powers began to manifest. However, Clark also knew that while the planet Krypton had long since been destroyed, the Kingdom of Atlantis still lived. Aquaman had become something Superman would never be: the bridge between two peoples. Aquaman was often mocked and disrespected by the people of the surface world, yet he still fought to defend them. Arthur's ability to look past this, and find the good in humanity worth saving was something Clark found worthy of the utmost admiration and respect.

Superman could feel the robot's grip loosen as Aquaman twisted his trident in the tangled web of tendrils. As he struggled to free himself, Clark looked upwards and saw the Bat-Plane flying overhead. The jet swooped past, firing a pair of missiles that froze the metallic tentacles on impact. Batman was quite unlike both Superman and Aquaman, in that he was a human being. However, he was as much a superhero as any member of the Justice League, and he was unquestionably worthy of standing among the pantheon in the Watchtower. To Clark, the Dark Knight was the personification of the good in humanity that he and Aquaman fought so hard for. He was the embodiment of the unyielding human spirit. Superman and Batman were worlds apart in many ways, but at their core they shared the same tenacious desire for justice.

With silent determination, Superman broke free of the robot's grip, completely shattering the frozen tendrils. The extreme pressure had taken a lot out of the Man of Steel, but he knew he had a job to finish. Superman propelled himself upwards through the air, bursting through the clouds. He felt the direct light of the sun, as every cell in his body absorbed its radiation. Superman closed his eyes, bathing in the restorative light.

The people of Metropolis looked up as the clouds began to part. A brilliant ray of light cut through the sky as the hero emerged.

"This ends. Now."

... If not for the seriousness of the situation and the still-lingering excitement, Madison would have had to comment on how completely insane that entire plan was. But at the moment, well... they needed to work and get going. Still, it was pretty crazy... and the sheer insanity of the plan made one thing very clear. Well... clearer, as she landed near Green Arrow.

"... I have a jetpack, Green Arrow," she said, "I can just fly most of the way!"

It certainly made things quicker and more safe, even if it meant she'd still need to use her acrobatics skills and Green Arrow's help to get to the robot... speaking of which, Robin glanced towards it, watching as Aquaman savaged the freezing tentacles with his trident. People said Aquaman was kind of lame, but... Madison never got that, really. He seemed pretty cool sometimes! And right now, he was really helping out... Right! This was her time to help take this thing down!

Perfect timing, too! Batman's missiles had done just what he'd hoped for, the metal was now brittle and easily-shattered by the man of steel, who ascended to regain his strength from the sun.

Robin glanced back to Green Arrow.

"I'm ready!"

Ambush Bug, upon hearing the robot might be on Earth for extinction purposes, had teleported into the machine's inner workings and set to work. He lowered the welder's mask, a bundle of important-looking wires in one hand and the welding torch in the other. He began the assault on the automaton's innards, ignoring the sudden temperature drop.

Right... the circuit's the important part so I just need something sharp to jam in and break it...

Wonder Woman, Princess Diana of the Amazons, dodged a swing from Hawkgirl's Thanagarian Mace. The Mace's Nth metal properties made even Wonder Woman's bracelets vulnerable to attack and as such a block with her bracelets was ill-advised. Wonder Woman side-stepped the swing and tried to sweep Hawkgirl's legs from under her, but the Winged Warrior avoided the attack by rising several feet in the air in front and above Wonder Woman. With a mighty battle cry, Hawkgirl flew forward while swinging her mace down at Wonder Woman, the weapon crackling with electricity. At the same time Steel flew at Wonder Woman from behind with incredible speed, his hammer poised to strike. Even one of those weapons would deal significant blows to the Amazon. Both in tandem could take her out of the fight. And Steel's armored suit could take quite a bit of punishment. She used that to her advantage.

With incredible speed, Wonder Woman backflipped away from Hawkgirl and landed behind Steel. She easily lifted the armored hero and placed him in front of her while she flew towards Hawkgirl, and neither of them realized what was happening until it was too late. Hawkgirl's mace struck Steel and shocked him eliciting an agonized yell from the hero. Then Wonder Woman raised her foot and kicked Steel into Hawkgirl, her super strength sending the two flying at Black Lightning and Ice who had been trying to line up shots at the heroine.

Black Lightning was hit by the two flying figures but Ice managed to dodge the airborne Justice Leaguers. She didn't dodge Wonder Woman's Tiara, which struck Ice in the chest. She staggered and instinctively fired a burst of ice at Wonder Woman who had been closing the distance with her flight. Wonder Woman rolled in mid-air to the side and closed the gap between them. Ice raised her other hand but the Amazon grabbed the limb and pulled Ice towards her and flung the cryokinetic over her shoulder. Ice slammed on the ground and lay groaning next to her teammates. Wonder Woman picked up her tiara and donned it. Then her ears perked and she swung around with her right arm raised high.

Katana's blade struck her bracelet with a clang. The expert warrior had been extremely quiet but she had made the slightest noise right before she tried to strike Wonder Woman. Diana knocked the blade out of Katanna's grip and caught the warrior's kick with her left hand. She swung Katanna around and threw her at Black Lightning, who Diana had noticed trying to rise to his feet. The hero had time to groan in frustration before he was knocked back to the ground with Katanna.

"Round over. Winner: Wonder Woman," the monotone Watchtower computer reported Diana's victory as the Amazon started helping her sparring partners back to their feet, beginning with Fire and Geo-Force who had been lying near where Black Lightning and Ice had stood. Diana had several cuts and scrapes from the fight but she was better off than most of her sparring partners. Whistles and cheers rang out as several heros who had assembled to watch the bout signaled their appreciation of the display. Booster Gold groaned audibly as he handed a wad of bills to a smiling Blue Beetle.

"Ah man."

"Told you, she'd win."

"I didn't know she was that good."

"Well, now you do," Blue Beetle whistled as he pocketed the money. Doctor Light crossed her arms and huffed, "I could take her." Booster Gold started cracking up as he said, "Are you serious? No offense Kim, you're good. But she's better. She just wiped the floor with seven Leaguers, none of whom are pushovers themselves. Sorry, after what just happened I just can't see it." Doctor Light simply said, "I could take her."

Booster Gold shrugged, "If you say so. Next time you can volunteer to be her punching bag."

Blue Beetle, "Now, Aquaman and Wonder Woman would be a good fight."

Booster Gold, "Who? The Fish-Guy? No way, he'd get creamed. Now Power Girl and Wonder Woman would be something to see. Can you imagine..."

"Imagine what Michael?" Wonder Woman had finished her good-natured conversation with the defeated team and stood right behind Booster Gold. The time-traveller whirled around to face her and started stammering, "Oh, uh- hi Wonder Woman. Yo-you heard that huh? R-right super hearing and all that. Forget sometimes. Well I was just saying that-"

"Wonder Woman to Monitor Room," the Martian Manhunter's voice filtered over the speaker system.

Wonder Woman touched her earpiece and said, "On my way, J'onn. Good day, Ted. Kimiyo. Michael." Wonder Woman gave Booster Gold a neutral look before walking off, leaving the hero from the Future sighing in relief while Blue Beetle laughed and Doctor Light smirked in amusement. Wonder Woman exited the training room and found her way into the massive Monitor Room, where large displays showed live views around the world. One of them displayed footage in Metropolis and Wonder Woman saw Clark, Bruce, Arthur, Oliver, and several others battling a robotic monstrosity.

The Martian Manhunter, standing at the center console, nodded at her, "Diana. We have a situation. An unknown alien machine appeared in Metropolis several moments ago. Our early warning systems and Batman's satellites detected it. It seems to have targeted Superman specifically and they may need some support finishing it off. I'm sending you in, that should be sufficient to counter this threat. Especially since you incapacitated half of the Leaguers we had on the station." The last was said with what Diana thought was a ghost of a smile.

Diana asked, "Unknown? We have no idea where it came from?" J'onn shook his head, "No. I consulted Orion, Starman, Adam Strange, Maxima, and Hawkman. None of them can determine the machine's origin." Diana furrowed her brow, "I have a bad feeling about this. Especially if it really is targeting Superman." J'onn nodded, "Indeed. But we can worry about that at a later time. You should assist Superman and the others."

Wonder Woman nodded, "Alright. It'd be too slow to use the Jet. Set the transporter to put me near Superman. We'll take it down together." Wonder Woman flew away from her friend and floated over the transporter pad. A bright white flash later and Wonder Woman appeared in the skies of Metropolis, next to Superman one of her mightiest allies and closest friends.

Wonder Woman smiled as the pair faced the robot, "Hello Superman. I can see things are progressing as they usually do. What's our plan of attack?"

"Jetpack...stupid olli stupid," he thought to himself. "Man where does Batman find these robins. I swear this one is a total fangirl, kinda cute in a pyscho way. Then his phone rang, "hey sweetie, how are you,"
"Oh hi laurel How are you, I'm kinda busy," he said as he shot a barrage of arrows at the robot, then looked at his handiwork. "That should be good," he thought. "Hey olli, Zatana just showed up at the tower should I say anything," black canary said over the phone, "no supes probably invited her, have wonder woman take care of it, talk to you later honey," olli yelled into his communicator, "hey animal kingdom, get off the robot

Well Walt knew one thing for sure, the robot was putting up a really good fight and was thrashing around violently to try and throw the people on it off. Walt was still in the form of a white tiger and he kept his steel claws dug deep in the robot's head area, trying to keep a hold on the machine and not get thrown off of it. He still tried biting the metal monstrosity's head as he was being thrown about violent. Walt felt his claws begin to loosing from their hold on the robot, and he tried to claw at the machine more to get a better hold but then a tendril wrapped around his body, getting him in a tight grip. The tendril wrenched him from the robot and with a great amount of power, flung Walt away from it sending him straight for a building.

"I don't think this guys likes cats you guys!" he shouted as he flew right into a building at high speeds. Thankfully, Walt had hardened his body into steel and was not seriously injure by the collision with the building. He was dazed for a moment but soon recovered, it was time for method of attack and Walt still in his tiger form, ran at incredible speeds out of the building and headed straight for the pier. Once he got there, he jumped out into the water and transformed into a giant sixty foot long great-white shark. He swam underwater and then bit viciously into the machine's legs, tearing away metal from the robot's legs.
