Great! You answered my question perfectly. Now looking at the dark nature of this roleplay, are the characters expected to be equally as dark? I've had some GMs prefer that, while others prefer having a wider variety of characters although the game content is dark. I apologize for the questions, I just like knowing exactly why and how I'm making a character, lol.
It's fine Aria lol. Well, that's a bit more complicated to answer. I don't necessarily like dictating how a player prefers to play their character, but at the same time it makes the most sense to roleplay to the situation. It's like, if you're watching bodies fall around you, people getting eaten, and others being slaughtered around you in theory, are you going to make some witty one liner? It's just little things like that. The characters don't have to be super dark or gloomy, but they are also cultists so that fact has to influence them somewhere or another.
I guess I'd say there shouldn't be any super happy or super bubbly characters in the main cast, but like I said, I don't really like dictating how a person wants to play a character. I feel like I'm controlling too much if I go that far. Hopefully I provided a bit of clarity though. I'll try to answer another way if you don't understand still.
