Characteristics: Aprika is a gentle, kind, and soft-spoken girl. She is also very awkward and shy, almost to the point where she will purposely try to ignore someone who tries to talk to her just so that she doesn't end up embarrassing herself in conversation. Because of this, some people might think of her as a little bit odd and distant.
She finds beauty in the more subtle and quieter things in life, everything from the way the rain sounds like on the pavement to the way the binding on an ancient book feels in her palm and fingers. Although sometimes she may seem like a stoic wall of composure, Aprika's feelings are quite easily hurt by even the smallest quips at her mannerisms or looks. If you're not careful, you could easily upset her.
Backstory: Her family comes from a long line of supernatural creatures. Her blood of a Cherufe is not pure, so her 'true form' is practically non-existent. Her body is constantly producing heat and at times she has a tendency to throw up magma since her small body cannot contain all of it.
Aprika's mother was a human woman, thus she received 1/3 of human blood from her. Her father was half Cherufe and half human, causing him to be a hybrid(He has the same traits as her; Throwing up and rising in body temperature, though his was far more extreme), thus she received 1/3 of human blood and 1/3 Cherufe.
Her parents refused to let the girl go outside, fearing the fact that humans may see her as a strange anomaly in society. So as she grew older, Aprika would stay inside in her bedroom as the days went on. She was a very lonely girl.
Her parents decided that on her 15th birthday, the girl would be sent off to attend school, similar to a public one but far different than Aprika would ever expect.
Aprika spent the next year attending freshman classes. Her habits would go as such; Wake up in your dorm, dress yourself, eat breakfast, go to class, do not make eye contact with anyone, focus on classes, go back to dorm, hide. She had never associated with anyone. And now a new year starts, and she is planning to use the same 'survival tactic' as last year.
