I'm a cashier, but not for long.

I am also a unique individual. I can't define myself as any specific type of person because I hate the idea of "fitting in." I know how silly it is. And I also know how wrong it is on most occasions. My extreme distaste for someone committing themselves to an idea or a group has halted myself in a lot of ways. I am not particularly driven or ambitious. I have not picked something to be.

A lot of the time I hear that knowing what you want and having a passion is an attractive feature. Yeah, I guess it would be.

But if I stop being pretentious for a moment, I can say that I'm a console gamer.

Soon-to-be a university student studying theoretical/mathematical physics. As for what defines me, I won't decide myself for fear of reflecting what I'd like to be rather than what I am, but will instead go with what my friends said of me in my yearbook - I'm a loyal shoulder to cry on, an incorrigible philosopher, writer, and debater, and I can "bullshit for Britain".

He just wanted to know if you had any hobbies.

EDIT: Your post was valid though and now I feel bad for some reason.

I've had a lot of hobbies and projects, but the big one lately is trapping, fixing, and releasing feral cats in our neighborhood. It's a big problem and a lot of them congregate on our property. Since we don't want them to get taken and killed by the pound, this is a project my husband and I do out of our own pocket. So far we have fixed twelve cats and are still working on getting the rest.

I'm a full-time Uni student during the school year, where I work answering phones/fixing tech problems at the Help Desk. When I can get the jobs, I work as a freelance writer. I read when I can. I blaze when I can. I drink when I can.

I'm a history student with heavy interests in archaeology and social history, over summers I work as a landscape gardener with my dad. I like to run and read, I used to do a lot of martial arts and intend to start again when I'm back at uni. I self define largely around my struggle with anxiety which is an improvement from when I self defined myself as anxious, I'm now pretty well armed against it. What I'd most like to do with my life is travel and move around a lot, taking life at my own pace, maybe have kids someday. I'm also a pretty good poker player.

I knew I liked you. Good heavy interests there, brah. What region of the world is your favorite study?

I really love meso-american stuff, I'm doing a whole module on the Aztecs, Mayans and Incas next year. More locally I'm a big fan of Roman Britain and particularly how the Romans impacted on and interacted with the locals. I'd really like to get a dig in Egypt one day as well, the culture doesn't interest me as much as it used to, but I think going there on a dig would be a pretty great experience to have. I also know quite a lot about Easter Island which absolutely fascinates me because so much of what we 'know' about them is false, they probably weren't even cannibals.

I'm a professional dishwasher, yo.

Also, I'm a soon-to-be university student in the Business of Commerce. But really, I'd rather do dishwashing my whole life, with writing for fun on the side.

Dishwashing is good because no one with half a brain bitches about the dishwasher.

fuck yeah, meso american is awesome. I took an archaeology class where that was the main focus. I ended up doing a big report on Teotihuacan. Really interesting.

And there's barely ever anything about Romans in britain. Damn dude, we gotta talk about this stuff sometime.

I thought we had the lock on bad history teachers.
