Shin, I am glad that you voiced out your opinion, rather than keeping it in ^ ^ This is a free community and I expect everyone to express their feelings when they spot something wrong. I, as the GM with a final say in any matter regarding this role-play, will attempt to be an honorable judge.
In the case that has been brought up, I can not help but agree with the both of you on different parts.
While I do not expect everyone to always post five or more pages worth of text every single time, it should be clear that the quality of the text should be of high value or at least relevant. I understand that Bear is quite a random character and silliness if part of his act and I also agree that quality beats quantity every single time, yet there is a certain point where quality requires quantity for the sake of the text's worth.
Writer's block is writer's block and we have all had it. Indeed, it is a strong and devastating enemy. But, as a role-player once told me, the only way to defeat writer's block is through writing. That can be interpreted in several ways. One of them is to write for the sake of writing and I am definitely against that 9/10 times, but sometimes it is required. I tend to avoid it as much as possible and have not reached such a point in this role-play, but I am aware that sometimes one should simply add additional information, despite that the said information can be skipped.
Not to mention that an advanced player has to have some pride in themselves, but some of the members of the human race do not wish to have pride in their work, thus I would rather not delve into that topic.
In other words, I will agree that your condition hinders your writing, El, and that you are right when you say that quality is more important, yet you should have written more for your post with the spare time you had. I do take under consideration that you had real life and other role-plays to attend to, but something as small as your post makes it seem like you posted for the sake of posting, which is different from "writing for the sake of writing", because the entire post is just thrown at the wind, which is an indirect insult. (it was still funny, though)
As for the languages, I will have to note that languages are not relevant to Keys. They can speak any language in the world, since they have to be prepared for any kind of owner that might pick them. They do not learn it anywhere, but simply comprehend any form of human speech. Even baby talk. This can be explained by the absence of language barriers in Cell City, where everyone can comprehend what the other is saying, even if they hear speech in a different language. I will have to admit that I had thought of this before, but it didn't come to mind when you said that Bear knows Italian perfectly, hence my confusion and question. Excuse me for that.
However, I will have to go against the idea you propose, El. Bear can not simply watch videos and movies all the time as he wishes. Of course, he can wander around in Cell City, but there are aren't any TV sets there, except those who are actually moving and, well, alive. Only high-level players can afford an actual entertainment device such as a screen that broadcasts channels, but those channels have information related to Cell City only. They don't display anything about other worlds. Also, the movie industry has not really picked up in that world, albeit the music one has. This being said, there are only a few movie theaters out there and they are mostly in Akasan and one or two in Underground. I do understand that this information is new, but you should have asked about it in the first place.
This all being said, the only time Bear would be capable of watching movies is in the human world, where he would have to enter the Internet or watch a movie with his owner on television or at the cinema. While that does count as the time when he is "not doing his job", you should have been more descriptive in your post on this specific moment. Fortunately, it does not truly matter, because, as I stated above, Keys do not need to learn languages, because they can speak each and every one of them.
When it comes to OOC and Skype speech, I am not forcing anyone to download Skype, if they don't want to. If someone told me to make a new Facebook account just so I could be part of the gang, I wouldn't, because I don't want to make a new one after I deleted my old one. But I must say that not wanting to download Skype isn't an excuse to not post in the OOC. Yes, we don't post here that often, because we're engaging in conversations elsewhere, but if you don't prompt us to come around by posting, how would we talk to you? At the very least, you should post when you have some business or writer's block, El. It's not right for Shin to force you to download it, but it's also not right to stay silent for far too long.
Regarding the "taking it seriously" moment, no one can truly tell if someone is taking something seriously, because you are yourself and you can't read another person's mind, not through a screen at least. However, El, I can understand where Shin is coming from, because the shortness of your post definitely irritated him. That is why we can not say that he is baselessly accusing you for not being serious, because there is a definite motive behind it.
About the "lol" part, it did not irritate me as much as it did other people and I dislike limiting people when it comes to personal things, but sometimes habits should be oppressed ^ ^" Here, I admit that I use emoticons. The cat =3 is more or less my trademark now XD (see, again). The "lol" is no doubt one of your specific ways to display emotion and not sound overly serious when writing. However, you haven't seen me use emoticons twice in one sentence or, if you have, it isn't often, right? I'm not going to say "Don't use lol", because, lets face it, everyone nowadays uses "lol", but do pay in mind where you place it. If it already exists in one sentence, don't write it again or in the first following one. It will annoy some people.
Hopefully I haven't come off too harsh here. I'm trying to be as objective as possible. Lets not fight and try to settle our differences. =3
