Tiny part of it: If I have a spirit animal, I'm pretty sure it would be a crow. They have a tendency to follow me that I've never understood, and I've had several dreams where a crow has featured prominently.

Main reason: I saw the photography series by Nick Brandt on the Petrified Birds of Lake Natron and loved it. It was unique and captivating. Chose the one bird for my avatar as it seemed to fit the dimensions the best, and wouldn't be shat on when scaled down so much.

Back around 2010, my primary username was Oscuro, the "Final Form" of by teenage year's proto-emo phase of using other languages to make "Pure Evil" and "Obscured Darkness" sound more classy than they actually were. Problem was; I was 26 years old, and not a little goth-lite emo kid anymore. I was joining a local Paintball team and wanted a different "identity".

After a bit of thinking, I decided on Goldmarble as a tribute to the first, and only paintball gun I owned at the time: My original Tippmann Model 98 Special Edition, that came in Gold Marble powdercoating.
