Hey Guys,
This is Shon. I haven't popped in or been watching much, but I wanted to see how things were going so I went and give an idea of what I'm doing now. First, FireCracker, doesn't leaving yourself add to the problem? If you want Apocalyptica to get back into its bulky self you need to contribute and help build it up, not use its suffering as a reason to leave. That just puts another nail in the coffin.
Anyway, shortly after I left I received a couple projects. I am doing some work as a Concept Artist for a science fiction web series that, due to a confidentiality agreement, I cannot name. When it posts the first episodes I'll give you a heads up though. Meanwhile, you all probably know I work part-time for a college. I recently got a second part-time job as a Public Relations Consultant and Gallery Manager in one of the first and largest marijuana retailers set to open in Vancouver, Washington. I'm among the upper management, sitting with the owners and investors who I should note have more wealth than I've ever seen in my life, and we're really doing something interesting. I have been setting up and participating in interviews with local press, NPR, and the Wall Street Journal. I've also connected to thirteen skilled artists in my area who are showing for our opening, or will soon after. Anyway, I've been working these crazy hours as we prepare the store and launch ourselves into the limelight. It's busy, it's new, but it's crazy fun. The company is called New Vansterdam, you're welcome to check it out on Facebook (our website is under construction). I've always wanted to run a gallery and this opportunity came as a surprise for me. I'll be sure to post links to photos of the opening if y'all are interested.
Apocalyptica Related: I see the activity hasn't change much. Well, if this isn't meant for RPG I would ask that those of y'all still interested compile what we have and contact me. Prometheus had an idea last year to shift this into a linear story and I think he had a good point. In my work I've met a few successful fine artists and comic book artists (my jealousy is with them), and would love to tempt them with a polished story like this. Between a few of us we could turn this back and forth RP into an understandable prose, co-authored prose. From there, the possibilities are really interesting. Just let me know!
I'll try to pop on in a few weeks. Be well all of you and don't forget, you're welcome to email me!
