Well, that's a shame. Especially because we've barely even got started. What is it that's made you lose interest? Rather than leaving, maybe I can add or change things that will help, as it seems a shame for you to drop out of yet another RP with me :(

Right, I've moved us on to the carrier, and also gave an easy intro for Rafales' character. Once everyone's made a post, I'll get us on to another bit of the storyline, and a chance for all our characters to actually meet face to face and talk to each other, since we haven't had a chance to actually do that yet. Once we've had a chance to interact properly and get to know each others' names (at least!), I'll cook up our next mission - something of an exploration and recon sortie.

Still room for me to return? I know I have missed out on everything thus far and understand if your sceptical but things have been calming down in RL

I was wondering where you'd got to. I'll send you a PM, much like I have with Rafale. You can introduce your character in a similar way, by having them be aboard the character already, and make an introduction there.

FYI ladies and mentlegen, I will be away from Friday for a couple of days to go to RIAT, a big military airshow over here in the UK.
I'll be able to access the site - albeit a bit reduced - some of the time while I'm away, but no big posts.

Was just going to ask you to take photos as I started reading that.

My post should be up tonight or tomorrow. I've been working on it on and off today and yesterday, so I hope you find it satisfactory!

I'll be sure to take as many as I can. My GF will have her camera too, so between us we'll take plenty. Though, it's nigh-impossible to take decent pics of anything flying without a special rig. We'll get lots of static photos though!

If you get a picture of a Gripen (I think there's going to be one there), I'd adore you.

I'm sure I can manage that - I'll have to link you to the previous years' galleries as well. I know I've got pictures of Gripens at other times, amongst other things.

I love how everyone is saying that they can't understand how the 'UNWO can reach so far into UN territory', When Egypt and Libya are UNWO countries, and are literally on the other side of the Mediterranean from France, Spain and Italy - the same countries where a large number of the aircraft involved in strikes against Libya last year flew from.

Still in this. It's kinda strange when for me, the best way to read a post is by PC, yet the best way to give a 1-2 paragraph reply is by mobile. Attempting to reply using PC often ends with me procrastinating instead.

Right. I am back from my trip to the airshow. I had a great time, and the show was spectacular as always. I will post photos and links to them later.

For the moment though, I'm going to get this farking thing going.

I'm getting a bit hacked off with people not posting, or saying they're having 'trouble posting'.
There is a simple, gentle, easy request for one post a week.

It does not need to be a work of classic fiction. It does not need to be Shakespeare, Tolstoy, Tom Clancy or even Stephanie fucking Meyer (though I'm pretty sure you can all do better than that...). It just needs to be a paragraph, preferably spelt right, saying what your character is doing.

If you're finding it too hard, too boring, or too whatever, then this OOC thread is here for you to make suggestions, ask for help, or anything else. I am open to some alterations of the RP, and smoothing things to make it easier. I'd prefer you do that then have any MORE drop outs.

I will not make it endless and pointless combat, however. That would just be stupid. However, make suggestions, give me feedback, and I will process it.

This post is not directed at everyone, or anyone in particular - I'm just slightly frustrated that I have to poke people into action so much. It's not really fun. And if you're not enjoying the game, I'd rather you just tell me, so I can put my energy elsewhere, or change it so you are.

In the meantime, a post will be up shortly moving things along toward our next mission, and introducing the ship to our characters.

EDIT: Got a short post in - leaving to go see the new X-Men movie. Hopefully this stirs up some character interacting.

FYI, the info about the ship is in the OP, assume your characters can pick up all that info and more from their tablets, along with things like damage control procedures, what to do and where to go when general quarters sounds, etc. Mainly so you don't have to go through learning all of it IC, or stumbling around going 'waaaah, I don't know what I'm doing' IC.

Just a heads up, I'll be gone for most of next week. Heading off to Scotland for my sister's wedding.
