Shayne, often known as Shay, is a very protective person, loyal friend, and often disguises her own problems to help others with their own. Her mother died when she was young and her father bailed when she was found as a witch, so she has been living with her only other living relative on her mother's side, her uncle Daniel. She tends to cling to her close friends tightly because she is so close to so few people that she doesn't know what she would do if she lost them.

In her third year, she had formally met Seamus Finnegan, one of her best friends now, when he blew up his potion in class and ended up getting her in the eye with some of it. She's never told anyone but she hasn't been able to see.out of her left eye since. She wouldn't trade it though because if it wouldn't have happened, she would have never met Seamus or Dean and Neville.

She is often seen as a flirt, having had plenty of relationships while at Hogwarts, but they never lasted long so she doesn't dwell on them. Also, Shayne often comes off a little harsh, but it's because she doesn't easily let people in.

Her best friends are Seamus, Ginny, Dean, and Luna, but she has many friends in all houses, just short of Slytherin.

She is most known for her excellence in Charms, especially disillusionment charms, Arithmancy, and Transfiguration. She is also known for not doing so well in Herbology, History classes of any sort, and Potions.
