Colonies: 'Reaf' and the King

Corustarian Colonist are now attempting to grow a small amount of this crop for usage in trade later, though they are prioritising food. At the same time, the King Baba-Uti is announced as a friend of Corustaria and that he and his people are welcome in Corustarian territories at any time. The Corustarian army is somewhat wary of the native armies on the borders, but are not being aggressive

Crash of the World Economy

GDP Regenerated, available funds
GDP (EFFECTED BY GLOBAL CRASH!): 60,750,000,000
Previous years remaining funds: 42,800,000,000 - 35 billion Upkeep = 7.8 billion
Total available funds: 68,550,000,000
The Corustarian economy may have taken a hit, but in being state controlled it has certainly taken one of the least, and is now believed to be one of the largest economies in the world, with a GDP behind only the first place position by a mere 3.25 billion. The Corustarian government believes it will be able to propel it's self to first place if they recover quickly. There is a minor reduction in some area's of spending, resulting in the reforms of the army being halted to save money, while the nation has provided a 7 Billion slush fund for bailout funds for businesses or organisations that may be about to go under in an attempt to salvage the economy and build it back up before other countries can.

LexBurg

The 4800 Man Force of Corustarian Regulars marches into the City of LexBurg, having made several stops in villages along the way in efforts build a reputation with the locals after having achieved what they had played up to be one of the biggest military achievements ever seen on the continent. It seems that the numbers of the enemy do get exaggerated by the soldiers, but despite this the fact that they seemingly forced the dissolution of an entire rebel faction, it seems that morale has never been higher among the soldiers.
After having entered the city, the General Norrington has rode at the front of his army. In silence they march, attempting to confer a sense of solidity and unity while heading towards the capital building of the city.

Crash of the World Economy

As the world shook due to the creation of Prussia and the crash of the World Economy that swiftly followed afterwards, New Drakran barely even noticed the breeze that ruffled some of its leaves. Thanks to the state controlled nature of New Drakran's market, alongside the fact that the collapse of the world economy due to the formation of Prussia had been foreseeable, several men and women who enjoyed their privacy met together with at a small, high class party being hosted by President Kiue for one reason or another alongside several important figures of the New Drakran bank's management and board of directors. In between the rather wonderful music and the tasty finger foods that were on offer, current affairs were discussed, numbers were rearranged and with firm handshakes stronger then any legally binding contract could have ever hoped to be life in New Drakran continued very much like it had the day before with little evidence that the World Economy had taken a hit in the slightest.

....................................................................

After this very same party, President Kiue had a private word with one of his guests, who proceeded to meet with another gentleman, who had a private conversation with a friend of his, who spoke with one of his servants... after a number of meetings and conversations, the end result was that a special trading company of merchants who were rather talented at subtle trading found themselves employed and paid by persons unknown to take a few crates to Corustaria. Since the money was good and they were assured that they weren't going to be trading with Corustaria's anti foreign trade rebels, they took the job and sailed out as soon as possible.

Lord Finch of Numburg sat looking at the parchment.

The one thing Finch had feared more than anything had finally happened, the Numburg economy along with the rest of the world for that matter had crashed.

Finch sat puzzling for a long time, when finally it struck him. How could he have overlooked it before. The government still had more than enough money to support itself and so it would begin to support those who couldn't in these hard times as well.

Finch called over the young lieutenant who had been charged as his adjutant.

"This shall be our defining moment, the poor if Numburg shall beg for food no longer. See to it that soup kitchens are opened to feed them, and make sure they are given clothes to wear as well. If they have no shelter we shall give each family a large tent. The encamped rebels will be starving as well, see to it that they are fed and given fresh water." Finch said continuing to read the parchment.

"Sorry sir but you want us to feed the starving rebels?" The lieutenant asked in confusion.

"Yes lieutenant, that is exactly what I want you to do. How can we ever expect to have a unified Prussia if the citizenry is never cared for, and that includes rebels... If nothing else it will make them think twice about about being rebels." Finch said frowning.

"Very well Lord Finch I shall see to these tasks immediately." The lieutenant said with a salute as he departed.

This was going to be an expensive project and Numburg will for starters spend 1 Billion Franks on the project.

Coast of Vivia

"Hurry up... if the guards see us we'll be screwed over..." One whispered harshly to the approaching ship, despite the fact they obviously couldn't
"Who ordered foreign weapons... hell, who started arming us, are we going to start an uprising? Doesn't seem like our Modus Operandi..." His partner asked, turning to him
"Who cares, just do what you're told and keep your head down." There was the snap of a twig from behind them as the ship approached, but they didn't hear it over the sound of the smuggling boat dropping anchor just off the coast. A long boat dropped from the ship, carrying the weapons over towards the coast line, making ground upon beach. The two rushed over to the smugglers to unload the weapons.

Then there was a crack, the sound of a musket being fired towards them, and all the men ducked down. There was a yell and just over the ridge came about 10 watchmen, five with rifles and the others with swords and pistols. They took aim down towards the landing ships
"Hands into the air, rebel scum!" The Guard captain called out, clicking back the hammer on his pistol. The darkness had provided good cover for the men of Corustaria, and from behind a rocky coastal ridge came a small Corustarian ship, the signal having been the gunshot, and moved to intercept the smuggler ship.

Princess Burrows own speech

"As I'm sure you know, two days ago an interesting discovery was made. Along the banks of Vivia, brave guardsmen captured two rebels who were bringing in weaponry from Drakran smugglers. Anti-Foreign rebels bringing in foreign weapons, that is what we found... I... I think that this displays their true colours their... disloyalty not just to the country but to their own cause... The watch informant who... I mean, the lo..." The Princess sped up, trying to catch her 'mistake' quickly, but gave up and backed away from the stand quickly, turning away and giving up on the speech. No one could see her smile as she did... Anti-Foreign rebels caught importing foreign weapons. All orchestrated by Corustarian spies and Drakran's president, but of course, the rebels and civilians didn't know that. Corustarian agents had been ordered to keep their heads slow to avoid the inevitable witch hunt the rebels would likely launch. A bold move, but hopefully effective
