Arthur walked nonchalantly through the forest, whistling a merry tune as he meandered on his way. To look at him, one would not suspect the true reason he was here, his clothes gave no hint to his violent intent nor revealed any methods to perpetuate that violence. His leather jacket covered his arms and most of his upper body, though an un-tucked white dress shirt could be seen underneath, and his hands were tucked into the pockets of his jeans. Not the posture of a man ready to be attacked at any moment. Even his eyes seemed unprepared for violence, gazing distractedly at the ground in front of himself instead of scanning the woods in hopes of detecting approaching danger.

It was in this manner that he found himself approaching the large oak tree, branches strewn around haphazardly as though it had simply been dropped there to flop about before finally settling down. Gazing up into its thinning foliage, most of which now lay on the ground and crunched beneath his feet, he settled on a split in the trunk about halfway up, then took two running steps and bounded up off the ground, stopping when he reached his designated perch to take a seat and swing one leg up over the branch in front of him, leaning against the trunk behind himself as though to relax.

He was certain this was the designated area, the one specified in that mysterious phone call. "Come here at this time and kill all others who approach, or those you love will die", it had said, the voice distorted and mysterious. It had almost made Arty laugh, given the fact that there was no one he loved, but he'd decided to come nonetheless. He was curious about who else might show up, and about that mysterious voice that had tried to sound so threatening. Maybe that was the plan... Anyone who knew enough to know that he was a fighter would know he was incapable of love, so maybe the real draw had been the mysteriousness of the call itself. If it was, then whoever had put him up to this was a bit of a genius, he had to say.

He continued letting his thoughts wander as he waited in his tree, curious as to what methods of persuasion the mysterious voice would use on the others that he'd been told were coming. Would it be money? Power? Shiny new toys? None of those appealed to Arty, as he could simply gain them on his own, but as it usually did, his curiosity had gotten the better of him and pulled him inexorably to this spot, at this time. Now all that remained was for the others to arrive.

Adrian descended upon the forest landing in front of the tree with a man in it and quickly folded this wings behind himself. Scanning it appeared they were the only two there. He slowly walked up to the man in the tree and said "i was told to come here by my father are we the only ones?"."If there are more coming we should wait." Adrian said pausing for a moment then continuing " are you a nephilim?" he asked.

The metallic clang of his hefty armor was sure to announce his presence long before he even arrived to the battlefield properly, turning a wooded pathway he was met with the sight of a rather remarkably large tree and two men. One clad in soft garb and the other winged, it seemed that the winged one was speaking up to the resting one who was obviously comfortable in the tree. Mayhaps they had received the same invitation that he had. The winged one voiced upwards at the man in the tree a question. "Are you a nephilim?" The Overlord's head tilted slightly as he overheard this. Deciding that even though it is considered rude to answer a question you aren't asked he would answer. "Nephilim?" In a tone that was clearly that of a man from high society with a remarkably calm voice for one who would be considered an abomination by normal men. "Why, do you happen to mean the offspring of the sons of god and daughters of man? Those giant folk of angelic heritage? I don't believe the man you speak to would be a Nephilim. He's shorter than I am, and I look up to most of their kind."

Though it was clearly a faked cough, he cleared his throat. "Now, I apologize for my intrusion but I received a letter through a courier and I'm wondering if I am in the correct place. It claimed that in this forest I would meet my demise, on the way here I dispatched two would-be assassins and a brigand. Now, if I am correct, would you just so happen to be the ones that I'm to meet by end by? If so, I'm prepared to face you in honorable combat. If not, I must apologize for my brazen actions over the course of the next five minutes." From his left hand side he grasps the handle of a blade that is hanging off his hip by a length of leather, This blade is as long as he is tall and half as wide. While slowly withdrawing it from its strap he speaks. "Due to my suspicious nature, I must in fact take your lives to prevent any chance of you taking mine in the future. I do hope you understand. But I didn't take upon this grizzly visage of a lich to die to the hands of an upstart." With the light sound of air being pushed out of the way he fully withdrew the sword and pointed it at the boy with wings. "I suppose I shall take you first, you seem to be unprepared."

Smiling Adrian shot his wings out from behind his back and yelled at the Lich "I am no son of god! And I am always ready.". with that a blacka nd red swirl of energy erupted around him covering his body in weightless but durable armor. He held out his hand and the same energy appeared in it before morphing into longsword and he did the same in the other except it was a weightless shield. Adrian leaped into the air feeling the wind rush past him as he flew to the right hovering to the side and slightly above both men.

He was resting there, quite comfortably, when all upon a sudden his ears caught the telltale whoosh of some large flying creature, and he opened his eyes to behold none other than an angel, descending from on high at the apparent behest of its father, whoever that may be.

"Huh."

It posed its question and a bemused smile appeared on Arty's face while his eyebrows rose in consternation. He was about to reply when the sharp clinking of metal on metal caught his ears, and he looked past the winged one to the armored form that approached from beyond. This was beginning to look like a party. When the angel thing, which was now claiming not to be an angel, turned to face the newcomer, he also happened to put his back to Arty. Very convenient.

He moved like lightning itself, using his ability to boost his speed and strength as he did so, and leaped out of the tree as the angelic being rose, straight toward its unaware back, taking into account the sideways drift of its flight as it tried to re-position itself to be able to see both Arty and the newcomer. Fast as he was, Arty would collide with the creature before his previous perch once again came into its view, which meant that unless it had some unnatural means of perceiving its surroundings, it would have no warning of the impending collision until it happened. He was intent on demonstrating just exactly why it isn't wise to turn your back on any opponent, even one that appears relaxed and not ready for combat.

Should the collision happen, or should Arty get even a single finger in contact with any portion of the not-angel's person or garb, he would latch on with enough binding force to hold himself in place in the middle of a hurricane and attempt to drag the winged creature to the ground under the weight of its new passenger.

Mm, a showoff indeed. The young lad had engulfed himself in some energy quite foul indeed. (The irony here being that his own energy is foul in both the literal and metaphorical sense.)As the two made a beeline into the air, the Overlord sort of stood there on the ground. "Have you both already decided to run? You'll get nothing accomplished up there. You'll find rather quickly that I am fully capable of fighting you at a distance." That grey smog that envelops his body began to pump out of his blade faster and faster, wrapping itself around the sword and forming small blue crystalline shapes along the blade's edge. "Now, if you would politely come down here so I may slay the." There was little effort to his movement, he brought his body down and slid the tip of the sword across the earth. Causing a small rut to form along the trail it traced on the ground. "Because otherwise I will simply kill you from down here!"

Shouting his command he dragged the blade in the opposite direction he swung it vertically towards the foes in the sky. Now, for a normal swordsman this would be a fruitless and silly endeavor. But this is the Nameless Undead Overlord. Those small blueish crystals that had formed along the edge of his blade fused together and fired upwards in a long and deadly sharp spear of soul mass. Aimed in the general direction of the younger warrior, however, if it missed the younger warrior the chances of it hitting the other one were reasonable as well. Hopefully he'd get the message across that he's not one to be toyed with at long range.

A circle of flames announced the Insufferable Flaming Assholes entrance. He looked around, amused. "If I'm not...Interrupting anything," He looked at the big armored man with a blade and the angel-like being flying and the seemingly normal human, though, if he was sent here, the emphasis on 'seemingly' was strong. "Is this where I am meant to be to 'meet my doom' or whatever?" He looked around. "Certainly looks like it." He summoned his staff from its home. The arms of Telekinesis grasping it and pulling it to Steve at high speeds. He caught it, held it in both hands and glared at the armored lich, then the angel-like being and then the very fast human. Fire crackled around his staff, as he watched, anticipating an attack.

A ghostly figure slowly formed on a branch higher in the tree, rubbing his eyes through the blindfold covering them he looked down at all the commotion. Smiling slightly he yawned and sat up to see what would happen next while he finished forming out of the shadows from the branches above. He couldn't tell if any of them knew he was there or not so he got to work examining them from their own shadows and the shadows around them while also pulling energy from the tree into his palms. Picking a target he formed the dull green energy into bow and arrow, aiming at the head of the undead one and waiting for the right time since that was the only one to show a ranged attack so far.

The man from the tree ran into him at blinding speeds and it stunned him as he fell. Hitting the ground hard he called his sword wrath from hell into his hand as he made his armor repulse outward.

The red-robed mage twirled his staff, held it in one hand behind his back and ran to the man in the tree with a ghastly, green bow. He used basic telekinesis to break the branch and throw it away, hoping the bowman would fall down so he wouldn't have his height advantage anymore. He subconsciously started to charge his fire magic...

Almeiden watched from a good distance away as the fight began. He set his AI to analyzing the various weapon's and energy signatures that were going on around the fighters. An unknown type of energy was fluctuating around two of them, the one with wings, and the dead looking one.

The AI noted a sharp rise in electrical energy emanating in a field around one fighter who leapt from a tree, and filed this away for information.

His inferred scanners were noting a rise in ambient temperature coming from around the vicinity of the one wearing the red robe.

Gathering a ball of dirt in his hand, he started altering it's mineral properties for possible use. Still keeping out of sight and hidden as he watched the fight progress.

He slammed into the angelic being full force, leading with his left shoulder, and the force of the collision drove both men back to the ground. It was on the way to the ground that Arty slipped his hands through the gaps in the armor, latching on with his power to his opponents clothing and the flesh beneath, the attractive forces permeating cloth, skin, muscle and bone as he projected them outward from his hands. His right hand slipped beneath the plate covering his opponent's right shoulder, while his left found a chink beneath the other man's left arm.

When the armor was launched outward it slammed into his shoulder and chest, pushing his body away from the other man but failing to dislodge his hands. The only way he would be dislodged was if the armor carried enough force behind it to rip the bonded flesh, muscle, and bone clean off the other man, costing him both his right arm and a fair portion of the left side of his ribcage.

It was at this point, immediately after hitting the ground, that Arty's hands rippled with pure current, sending enough power into his opponent to kill three bull elephants outright. That was the rub with plate armor. It always had weak points that could be exploited by speed and accuracy, two traits that Arty had in spades.

Adrians body shook with the voltage the only thing saving him was the sword that he had stabbed into the ground and that was allowing the electricity to flow through him without burning his organs into ash. Now Adrian bared his teeth and allowed his rage to overcome him the hellish energy flowing around him like a storm. It came flying at Arty from all directions including off of adrians armor as it formed itself into spikes. As that happened the Energy closed around Arty's hands on Adrian forming a bladed edge attempting to sever them at the wrist so he either had to retreat or be amputated.

The battle had begun to grow even greater than he had imagined it would have, there was a large number of foes here. More obvious is that even more would be coming, as someone had just thrown a small metallic object to the ground near the other two. Obviously not any of the other combatants that he had seen up to this point. Thematic fighters often have obvious tells about what weapons and abilities they use. The Overlord knew this from experience, as he himself is a thematic fighter.

Two things have become blatantly apparent during this battle. First, his foes are significantly faster than he had anticipated, having already become engrossed in fighting in the short time that he has been here. And second, now this is quite important. Though they seem educated, these sorts of folk are- How should he put this? These folks are not quite intelligent enough to understand the concept of not turning your back to the most dangerous man in the area.

"Well, I suppose I should punish this transgression." Leaning backwards a bit, he turned his wrist and swung the sword slowly until it was completely vertical. With the tip closer to the ground than the handle. Taking a step forward and raising his arm upwards again, he proceeded to plunge the massive blade into the earth below. "How about I shake things up a bit?" The embedded crystal flashed for a moment and sent a wave of grey splashing down the metal, slamming into the ground with a shocking amount of force. The ground gave to this blast, concaving around the point of the sword. From the position he was standing, a large wave of vibration went out in every direction through the ground. The tree that was the closest to him was pushed slightly to the right, bowing to his power. The Overlord, though he would never show it, was not fond of being disregarded. Not fond in the slightest.

Almeiden's AI partner registered the vibrations a split second before the quake hit. In that time, it managed to locate it's epicenter, and alert Almeiden to the the danger. Creating what he needed at the speed of thought, a dozens of small, grappling hook like spikes shot out of his armor and into the ground and surrounding trees, trailing lines of a silvery looking fiber. When the shockwave reached him, all of the lines grew taut and thrummed like guitar strings whilst absorbing the vibrations and dissipating them harmlessly.

He then retracted the lines back into his armor and focused on the origin of the quake, quickly locating the being who had propagated it. Almeiden then switched his armor into stealth mode, absorbing the vibrations of his movement, and the heat his body gave off, while simultaneously redirecting visible light spectrum and electromagnetic waves around him to render him invisible to sight and radar. Almeiden began moving slowly toward the strange being who gave off no life signs.

Steve twirled his staff in the air, for no apparent reason besides showing off. He felt a shockwave come out of the armoured mans sword. It would blow him away if he didn't protect himself. But, he did just that. Stopping the staff twirl, he brought his hand up, palm open and facing the shock wave's point of origin. A simple barrier spell would protect him.

A glowing, dark purple see-through sphere surrounded the Pyro-Wizard, stopping the shockwave from harming him. After a few moments, the barrier dissipated into thin air and Steve stared at the armored man. "Nice weapon." A burst of flames came out of his staff's tip. Had his face not been covered by the hoods shadow, some of his opponents would see him grin.

Kicking off the branch as it broke max was still in the air when the shock wave hit, managing to land on a lower branch he took aim at the pyro-mancer instead. Seeing that the man had been distracted looking at the undead one he waited, letting the shield come down before quickly firing off two arrows. One aimed for the heart of the fire mage, the other for the unprotected face of the undead.
