Ember sat in the corridor crying of embarrassment. This was only her first day and her whole potions class had seen her underwear! And to make it worse, she had three days of detention next week for sleeping in class! Her eyes were puffy and red and her face streaked with tears. All that could be heard in that corridor was sniffles and sobbing. Ember sat with her knees to her chest and closed her eyes, hoping she wouldn't be the talk of the castle.

"Ember? Hello? Ember...?" She heard Serena calling her name.
"I'm over here." She managed.

Alin turned to see what all the noise in the back of the class was about, seeing that the girl had knocked over her potions equipment. When her robes ripped, he looked away quickly, embarrassed. Seeing Serena get out of her seat to chase after the girl, he considered going with her, but he knew that he would just make it worse. It wasn't his place to help, and he knew Serena would handle the situation and help the girl out, so he stayed in his seat and continued taking notes on the class.

Serena saw Ember crying and sat beside her. She nudged her playfully.

"Hey.. Are you alright?" She asked camly and thoughtfully. She hoped this wouldn't ruin Embers experience at Hogwarts. That would be awful. Serena defientely wouldn't let that happen. She rubbed Embers back soothingly.

"Don't let this accident ruin your day. It was an accident and if anyone makes fun of you for it, they're obviously not right in the head." She spoke softly.

Sebastian had woken up from the amount of ruckus in the class. He wasn't sure what had happened, but it was good that it did because he didn't want to be caught sleeping in class.

Andrew smiled to the girl who had rolled her eyes at him "Aww, what's a matter sweetie, jealous?" He asked with a smirk on his face. He then heard someone call from the back of the room. "Well that wasn't nice." He said with a very fake smile. "You seem pent up, what's wrong?"
"Andrew! We are done talking about this." The professor said silencing the boy.
"Well I am sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone." He gave the professor a fake smile and then made a gagging noise.

Storm would wait until class was over to attack the annoying Slytherin boy.

Ember sniffed and then smiled for Serena's sake. You aren't supposed to show bad emotions Ember! She thought. "I'll be alright. I just need to go change." Ember laughed wetly. "And...thanks. I appreciate this." She added. Oh this year will be full of surprises. She thought sadly, dreading all the months to come. But while thinking all of this, she kept a smile on her face to keep the "happy" mood up.

Alyssa looked at Andrew and rolled her eyes at him. "Can you just stop talking and pay attention to the class? Do not worry about me, sweetie." and with that the professor looked at Alyssa also shutting her up. "Sorry." she said looking down at her book sighing and then back up at the professor. She didn't want to get into trouble anymore, especially when she already have detention!

Serenity could sense that Ember was still upset.

"Hey listen. Every day brings new opportunities but if you're too busy worrying about all the bad things that could happen then nothing amazing will occur. You just got to learn to keep on going even if bad things happen to you. It's much easier and better to laugh at yourself and keep going than to moap around like a ghost. " Serena winked at Ember.

"Do you need any help getting new clothes? I'd be happy to help."

Ember smiled. "I could get used to a friend like you. Thanks. This year so far has just started off on a horrible note and I couldn't get my head out of 'the gloom'. Do you mind coming to the common room with me to get another set of robes? It's quite a walk there." She explained.

Eve was in potions but, she blended in so no one noticed her really. When she noticed the girl embarrass herself she wanted to go after her but, Serena already did that. She tried to focus on class but, she couldn't. So, she quickly and stealthily snuck out of class and followed the 2 girls. She noticed them talking but, just had to know if she was okay. "Are you okay Ember?" She asked kindly. Ember did not know her but, she knew Ember.

Eve walked out and asked Ember if she was alright.
"You two are very sweet. Thank you. I think I might just go to my room before my next class. I don't think I can handle going back in there right now." She says and smiles, then walks away

Serena giggled "I would love to be your friend. I was wondering if sometime you could sing to my piano playing. You have a lovely voice." She said smiling.

She saw Eve come up to them. She waved and let Ember answer Eve. He watched
Ember walk by to her room. Hopefully her day wouldn't be ruined.

"I guess we better get back to class before we get dentition." Serena told Eve and motioned toward the classroom.

Eve nodded in agreement. "I believe so." She said quietly before she gave her a small smile and walked back into the classroom. Where she then walked to the back of the classroom taking her seat. Giving the professor a bow of her head as she passed him.

Alin glanced towards the door anxiously, wandering if everything had gone alright outside. He pushed his other thoughts aside, going back to focusing on potions. The things that had happened two days ago before he left the orphanage were still ringing through his head. No, he had to calm himself down, he couldn't let his feelings overwhelm him in class. He'd already broken down last night after everyone had gone asleep. Shaking his head, Alin took a deep breath and kept taking notes, focusing completely on the writing and managing to keep his emotions in check, for now. This was going to be a long day.

Storm looked at the two who just re-entered the room

Layla made her way to the Potions classroom. She had lost her way in the long corridors of the castle. When she arrived the class was distracted by a girl in Gryffindor. She snuck into a seat, glad for the distraction. She watched as two Hufflepuffs followed the girl. Typical Hufflepuffs she thought and smirked to herself. After sneaking a peek of her neighbor's book, she turned to the appropriate page. She pretended she had been paying attention and sighed in relief when the professor didn't notice.

Ellis had been seated for a while, paying as much attention as he could. I'm guessing this class won't be on my favourite list... Especially with it being straight in the morning..

Storm yawned slightly. This class with suck. A whole lot. She thought

Serena took her seat beside Alin again. She gave an apologetic smile to the professor and looked at her text book. Her brain was getting fizzled with Potion ingredients by the time the class was over. Moans could be heard all around the classroom; the professor had assigned everyone a 3 page essay. Serena didn't dare moan out loud but complained inside her head. Ugh..

What class did she have next? Herbolgoy. Her lips grinned excidetey. Herbolgoy was one of her best classes. She got top marks every year. She waited for Alin so they could walk together.

Alin smiled a little when Serena returned, though it seemed a little forced. His stupid mind wouldn't get off the subject of the orphanage and what was said to him before he left, and it was bringing him down. And to top it all off, he had a blistering headache, which he was prone to. He was glad when the class ended, only a couple more classes until lunch and then he could find a corner to curl up in or something.

Alin caught up with Serena outside of class, following alongside her. At least being with a friend would help get his mind off all of this nonsense. Herbology was next, he'd managed to get an exceeds expectations in the class last year, so he wasn't horrible at it or anything, but he always ended up knocking things down or touching the plants in the exact wrong place to prompt a nice bite. He turned his head towards Serena, "Did everything go alright outside with that girl?" he asked a bit distractedly, bad thoughts still swirling around his head. He put his hand up to his temple, to try and calm his headache a bit.
