"I can... get up by myself, thanks," she said, standing up and dusting herself off.

She had heard the voice too. So it looks like there were more people here than previously expected. The first thing to do was to find out what had happened to them.

"Did you... get access to the secret link as well?" she asked of the other boy. it was then that she noticed the floating text above the boy's head.

Lv1 Patreoneux

Lauren didn't know how she'd missed it before.

"Patreoneux, huh... Well, for now, I think we should find a way out of-"

drip

Oh what the fuck, something wet had landed on her head.

"The hell, is it raining or something..." she said, lifting her head up while bringing her hand to the wet spot.

Her eyes met the glowing red ones in the window at about the same time she realized the liquid on her head was too sticky to be water.

And with a howl, the feral wolf leapt from the window and landed on the floor in front of them. Lauren screamed.
At about the same time, just outside a terribly small room, there was a loud bang on the door.

Once...

Twice...

And with the third strike, a crude, spiked club crashed through the door.

A long, sickly arm reached through the hole and felt around the rubble blocking it.

Simon didn't hear or see anyone else in that room, nor in the next room. This was getting ridiculous. Was he just supposed to find his way out before anything happened? Simon groaned as he opened the door to another empty hallway. He gave the sword an experimental swing. It was pretty heavy, but he was having an okay time carrying it, especially given he had on some kind of armor. Simon was pretty athletic, but still, this seemed a bit odd.

Which reminded him, did he have stats of some kind? He thought about it for a moment, and a little screen popped up. So the "menu" seemed to be thought-based. Helpful to know. Simon looked over the numbers. Resolve was his highest by far, followed by Strength. Then Spirit, then the rest were all comparatively low. Made sense; if he was a tank, defenses would be his highest.

Waving the screen away, Simon moved down the corridor. As he approached the door at the end, he thought he heard talking. He paused, weighing pros and cons. He'd not seen anyone else yet, so company and potential answers would be appreciated. But on the other hand, what if they were hostile? Still, he pushed open the door. If this was some kind of game, at least enemies might provide clues.

The high scream of a girl told him he made the right choice. A huge wolf-like creature stood in front two people with indistinct words over their heads; a boy and a girl, who appeared to be the screaming one. Simon hefted his sword instinctively; he wasn't sure what was going on, but wolves and people made for dangerous mixes. "Hey!" He shouted.

"Did you... get access to the secret link as well?" She asks
Nonchalantly replying;
"Well, yeah I did, I thought it was fake though but I did want to confirm it myself, haha."

He looks on her head and sees "KeyLime level 1"

"Patreoneux, huh... Well, for now, I think we should find a way out of-"
Laine saw the mysterious girl protruding water

"Hey where's that water coming fro-" he gets cut off as he looks up and his eyes meet with a red eyed giant wolf.
"HOLY CRAP." He says as he backs away instinctively and pulling the girl with him.
"What is that?" He asks with wide eyes.

Then suddenly he sees another player and he shouted;
"Hey!", which somehow got the wolfs attention towards him, quickly glancing over he notices that the other player was wielding a shield and sword, which made him assume he's a tank. "Good idea, aggro him towards you!" he screams at the other player. "I'll hit him from behind with this slice n' dice skill, I don't know what it does, but let's go!" he says as he tightly grips his twin daggers.

Cris / The Free Spirit

"Damn...what was that?" Cris asked to no one in mind. Cris stood up in a room. Not his room, but a room in the foreign place. Cris had come to realize, after the pain, that this... Reset Reality was real and not a drug dream or something. He saw something on the screen that looked like a bag or something, Cris clicked it. A Inventory screen popped up, in the bag was a starter bow and arrow. Cris clicked the bow and arrow, and Walla... like magic he had the bow and arrow in his right hand. It felt natural to Cris, playing range classes all the time, it wasn't anything new to him. "Now to find someone else, I can't be the only person in this hell hole." Just when Cris said that, he heard a scream, like bloody murder. Cris broke down the door, holding him in. When he jumped into the hall he could see three people, a girl was screaming and then he saw a giant wolf beast, charging at them. "Hey!" The one with the sword yelled. I hope he doesn't think he can take that wolf down by himself. Cris started to run down the hall, bow and arrow in hand, ready to fire whenever the right time was.

It was dark...really dark. The absolute darkest darkness that Oscar had ever seen in his life. There was no light anywhere...yet for some reason, he could still see himself

Please input your username.

...and apparently that too. Whatever was going on, it clearly had to be a dream. So there wasn't any problem with just playing along and seeing where it went. Oscar's first idea for a username was ButtonMash, but he quickly decided that it sounded too stupid

RythemGear

Then the text box thingy changed

Welcome to ReSet ReaLity! A world in peril needs your help! Join forces with other players to save Espereox! To begin, choose your class type.

Class!? Woop! Oscar didn't even need to see the other choices, his finger rammed the cross symbol

The text changed again.

You have chosen the Cleric, the basic support class. Clerics support the front lines, healing and apply beneficial buffs to allies, or applying debuffs enemies. At Level 20, the Cleric can be promoted to an Acolyte, a Bard, or a Shaman.

Are you sure that you want to choose this class?

Oscar didn't even need to think about it; yes he wanted to be the support class. Not only did he find helping people to be fun, but supports tended to be on of the lesser played class types, and therefor were in higher demand

Good choice! You will make an excellent mage, I'm sure. You will be given your abilities and be transported to Espereox momentarily.

Oscar jumped up in the air; this was going to be so awesome!

This may hurt a bit.

...okay...maybe a little less awesome them he first thought

That's when the pain came. As a socially awkward outcast, Oscar wasn't a stranger to pain (being prime bulling material). He hadn't however felt anything like this before. It hurt...[/i]a lot[/i] he was hurt in ways he didn't even know he could be hurt. He was lucky that he had managed to come up with a way to distract himself from pain before, otherwise it might have been too much to handle. It was over before he even knew it.
When he woke up, Oscar found himself at some kind of old shrine. As the pain from before had shown him; this was real. However Oscar wasn't too worried; he was going to be stuck home alone for a few months anyway, and surely there was some way to get back home...right? After he got his baring straight, he did the next logical thing. "Hello! Healer looking for party!" find someone else who could make things die, because he was pretty much screwed on his own

Jacenta was currently running in the direction of the scream that she had just heard. "Fuck. NPCs don't do that. Do they?" She asked herself. She sighed before stopping to catch her breath. You know, this is fucking stupid. You should stop. You're fucking stupid. Did you know that? You're really stupid. You keep making jokes. You're stuuupid. Said a voice in her head. She shook her head before looking down the hall. There was a corner, and she assumed that lead to either: More running, or: A door.

She also noticed that the inventory popped up again. She didn't have a weapon. I told you, you're stupid. Well, ignoring that voice, she pushed on the bow and arrow and she had...a bow. She was actually holding a bow in her hand, instead of just seeing it on a screen. Along with that amazing fact that she was fawning over, she also heard footsteps.

Other people? Other people running, attempting to find where the scream came from? Probably. Now, onto the more running or a door thing.

She was wrong with both. Instead, there were 4 people. One with a bow and arrow in hand who was in front of her, (bow buddies!) a guy with a sword, and two people who were in front of a wolf.

She also saw names above their heads.

This felt so weird, it was unbelievable how crazy this felt.

You have two skills.

Okay. Now what were they? Shit, she was getting distracted. She ignored said skills and focused on the wolf.

Since he wasn't getting a response, Oscar decided to check out the interface, messing around with his inventory and skill screen. He found that he started out with two skills; a basic healing skill, and a passive stat aliment resist, both very awesome for level 1 skills. As he was messing around with his stuff, he heard a scream "that sounds like other players...maybe they need a support!" Oscar quickly rushed over in the direction of the scream, where he found what looked to be a group of 5 other player characters fighting a wolf. None of them looked like a support class "incoming heals!" Oscar called out as he used Heal, crying out the skill name as he did it, which seemed to work. So he went ahead and used it on the other 4 players, making sure to stay between them and the monster wolf

Okay, where the hell were all these people coming from?! In the matter of seconds, four other people had showed up out of nowhere. The wolf turned his attention to the armored dude with the giant fuckoff sword.

She saw a green glow envelop her as someone else rushed in, spouting something about heals.

Right! She should have skills too, right? Hurriedly, she pulled up the skills menu and found that she had one 'skill' and one 'ability'.

She pointed her rod at the wolf.

Come on come oooon...

And just like that, a glowing purple orb shot out of her rod and hit the wolf in the side.

The wolf staggered a bit, before turning back towards her.

...Shit.

All too soon, Atori's steps had to quicken as her relaxed self tensed up at the sound of splintering wood. Judging from the sound, it was like something was smashing a door or some crates with a heavy blunt object. This caused her pace to quicken, going from easy going jaunt to full on sprint. If someone was in trouble... judging from the fact that the green creature was trying to get into a room, either there were munchies or some user just like her who had popped up in the spawning point.

Going too fast to really stop in her track, the third generation Asian decided to go for the direct approach. With the creature's arm wedged in the door at the moment, she had a decent chance of landing a hit. Seeing as she didn't know how her skills worked at the moment, she just decided to do with what she knew best. Launching herself at the last few feet, her leg outstretched itself for a classic flying kick toward the enemy.

In the real world, doing this outside of self defense would have gotten her arrested. Here, she had no hesitation since her opponent wasn't even human and instantly used a move that had a high chance of crippling someone if performed right. And thus, Atori focused her weight and momentum upon the singular point of her feet and aimed for any vulnerable spot she could. At the very least, she could cross off another thing off of her life long list of goals. Perform a dynamic entry.

She had fallen down in surrender, sighing as he figure was just not enough to take down that damned door before her. Plopping up against the wall, the cobwebs around her left a frown on her lips as she sighed and crossed her arms from the frustration at hand-

"...?"

It sounded like there were voices echoing down the hallway. She had half a mind to go check it out before-

BANG.

...Uh...What was that?

BANG.

The door heaved in, a small twitch following as she watched the entrance she had failed to break down.

SMASH!

...Welp, that was her cue to give behind a shelf, praying that whatever had opened the door was either friendly or too big to get inside -- and as a huge arm came in, sweeping past the junk to see what was around, it was the second option that she got. Fuck...The lapse of fear running its way up her spine had her covering her mouth before a small squeak of fear could find its way out of her throat. ...Ah...God...What to do, what to do...!

Her hand slowly reached out for a jar to the side -- not completely broken yet, shockingly enough, and she swallowed down her shock and evident fear of the spiked weapon that's given her an exit point in favor of rolling out the jar in order to see if the moving object would distract the attention of whatever was out there. Please, oh please do work. She would like to not die five minutes into beginning this unorthodox game that she'd been forced into. That would be terribly kind.

...Or. alternatively, before any of her attempts to sneak out of this mess could happen, A RANDOM GIRL WOULD COME FLYING IN TO KICK THIS THING IN THE HEAD. Now seeing that it was....some perversion of what most MMOs usually made into a basic mob monster, she slowly stood up, stumbling out of terribly small room she'd been in, and began to scan through her character stats the moment that she had the chance. Skills..Skills...! She had some! Thank god, she didn't have to go whacking things around with a stick!

With that in mind, she'd do her job the way she knew how to, holding the staff up as flames began to dance around her arms, over the wooden surface without burning it in the slightest, and finally resting into an orb at the top as her concentration focused down upon it. Just a moment more...A moment more...

"GET OUT THE WAY!"

An eruption of flames would be flung from her staff as she reared it back like a bat, and SWUNG like a batter to send it launching towards the hostile creature that'd been engaged.

A whole load of people suddenly charged into the room, with words over their heads and bow and arrows and all sorts of crap. Simon glanced around at the group, bewildered. Where had all these people come from? How many other people were in this thing? What was going on here?

The guy by the wolf yelled some kind of instruction as the girl blasted the wolf and a third person threw out some green light. Simon looked back and forth, before looking back down at his sword. How was he supposed to use this? Did he have special abilities or was he just supposed to swing a big blade around and hope for the best? A menu popped up. Simon looked it over; it read he had two skills. He could draw aggro with attacks or charge things.

That sounded useful. He had more armor than anyone else so presumably if the wolf bit him he'd be less likely to get mangled. Also killing it might be helpful, so there wasn't much downside to attacking. So Simon hefted the sword, and decided to try this "Forward Charge" ability. With a loud yell, he propelled himself forward towards the wolf, bring the sword up to slam it onto the creature.

The wolf staggered as the bulk of Simon's frame crashed into it. It staggered before turning to face its attacker. It leapt forward, teeth bared, trying to grab anything from its attacker into its teeth.

Okay. So as long as the knight guy kept attacking the creature, it would keep its aggro on him. Or maybe it just switched to whoever was attacking it. Either way, it was probably a good idea to try to get rid of that thing as soon as possible.

So Lauren flung another magic missile at the creature, throwing them out as much as she could when its cooldown came off.
The goblin landed with a crash into the small room, breaking several shelves and getting buried under the rubble. And as the magic missile followed soon after, the room exploded, sending a billowing pillar of smoke out of the doorway.

"Hoo..." Atori breathed out as she landed lightly on her feet after smashing the thing into the room, her body hunched over in a crouched stance on bent knees. With her mobility, she was then able to easily jump out of the way when she saw the approaching bespelled fire. A fair distance away from the conflagration, the girl viewed the fireworks with a keen eye, even going so far as to flash a thumbs up at the display.

"You alright?" Jogging towards the person she had intended to rescue, she saw that the girl was in robes and held a staff. Given that she looked exactly like a magician of old and that she had just kicked a goblin, she was pretty sure the girl was the source of the magic. Standing a respectable distance away Imagineer, the fighter looked over the girl. She seemed like an alright person, though now that she had actually met another person, she became a bit shyer than previously.

Seeing a bunch of people come out of nowhere, he was confused but didn't mind too much as they might've needed alot of help to take that 'wolf' down. It being aggroed to the tank right now, he sneaks up behind it and tries using his skill 'Slice n dice', Not having much of an idea, he decides to scream 'Slice n Dice', and much to his surprise, the skill activated and it sent two swift strikes towards the wolf and then now it aggroed towards him.

"Oh crap" he mutters out loud. Quickly backing away, he looks at his armor and thinks that this armor can't withstand an attack from that.

With the goblin incinerated beyond all recognition, Eika sighed as she placed one hand against her chest to calm her heart and placed the staff's end upon the ground to let it rest there without needing much in terms of maintenance from her in keeping it up. Just what in the world was going on here...? Her face contorted into a grimace as she once again recalled that she was here and not awake, working on her newest project. ...Ah, the girl that'd just come in had saved her. Stepping forward, Eika was quick to bow her head in gratitude to the newcomer as she asked of her well-being, failing to find much in the ways of discomfort as she addressed her directly.

"Thank you very much for your help. Do you have any idea as to where this is? What this is? Ah, and I'm E-...Imagineer. It's nice to meet you."
Of course...Her name was actually known, to a degree. She best keep her real name a secret at the moment. A smile graced her lips as she straightened herself up and attempted to make herself seem like less of a disheveled mess that had an unfortunate spawn point, and more like a person that could host a decent conversation. Maybe some other players knew what was going on in relevance to her lack of knowledge regarding things as they were now. At the very least, it was worth asking. Better to try and achieve nothing than to not and never get a result, yes?
