BBeast, a similarly small response from Zadok would also be good. Speaking of which, you think it's about time to kick the main plot into action?

Yes, I think it is time we kicked things in to action. Among other reasons, without that I'm not entirely sure what to do with Zadok, as I don't think most people would appreciate him dropping down and ruining their Dungeon.

I thought I'd posted something for Xir'ain a week ago, but apparently it never got posted. I don't think this is quite as good as the original, but it'll have to suffice. Xir'ain's new form is a mix of physical transformation, illusion, and mind control. The viewers' minds actually reinforce the image into something inhumanly enthralling. In short, they see him as something perfectly tailored to what they imagine as the ideal human being.

Xir'ain hasn't lost his true form though. He can revert back to his original appearance as easily as a person changing clothes. Though a snake shedding its skin would be a more accurate representation of what happens.

I'll do another Ripper/Carver post and get things moving once we figure out that thing I mentioned in the PM.

Can you guys give me some feedback about my posts with the Carver and the Ripper? While I think they're pretty cool and unique as characters, they're also incredibly difficult to write as. I like to think that I've gotten adept at writing fight scenes, but I find this particular case to be a struggle. It's odd for me to imagine how a fight might go between two such unconventional characters, especially given the circumstances.

What usually ends up happening is I do part of a post before drawing a blank or just feeling bored, and so I end up doing it in a few different sections over the next day or two (I'm in the middle of this process as I write). And once I'm done, forget about proofreading, because by the end of all that my mind is fried and I'm tired of looking at those few paragraphs.

Well, that turned into more of a rant than I intended. But anyways, is the stuff going on in the Source interesting, or just plain repetitive/confusing?

I quite like reading it. I see no obvious faults.

Well, that was a pretty important post for the plotline. Big asteroids are falling down by everybody's dungeon. Just as BBeast asked you to not ignore the ominous red sun in the sky, I'm going to ask you to not ignore the artifacts that fall from the heavens near (or on top of) your Keeper's dungeon. You'll probably want to have your Keeper or some minions investigate.

I'm debating whether or not to cancel having my own keeper in this, and instead wait for the next arc to do it. (I'm assuming that there is going to be a sequel, judging by the history and such.)

What do you guys think?

We've had arc with over 100 pages and several years in the going. I wouldn't cancel.

Okay, I just feel that I'm really far behind, considering I've only posted as my keeper(or keeper-to-be) once. I might end up posting twice in a row to catch up... If that's allowed.

Wow, I end a post with Enly'air strangely deciding to go outside and stare up at the sky for no apparent reason and then this happens. I didn't think Xir'ain gave her the ability to predict the future.

"Uhm, master, there's something falling directly toward us..."

EDIT: Wait a minute, isn't Xir'ain currently in his Dungeon Heart?

Xir'ain: I'm busy working, deal with it yourself.

Enly'air used magic.
The attack missed, but it was super effective on everything but the target.
Everything blew up.
Enly'air blamed Balon.
Profit!

What would happen if she tried blowing the falling space garbage out of the sky?

Probably some sort of negative, harmful feedback. These catalysts seem to be partially sentient. Alternatively it might divert to seek the source of the power that just fired upon it and attempt to land on top of said source.

Go right ahead, Kangutso.

Well, now it's my turn to take a week long trip. In about an hour I'll leave, and I won't have Internet access. I should be back sometime Friday, but I may not get around to posting again until Saturday.

Edit: Ah, I'm just now seeing how this is pretty bad timing, since everyone will be forced to wait on me for the Destruction Catalysts to respond. I suppose we could all either write another post or so before having the Catalysts finally crash, or BBeast/Lugubrious could control them while I'm gone. Or you could wait for me. Any of those options would work, sorry that I forgot to tell you huys about this trip until just now. :/

We seem to be a little slow at the moment anyway, so I'm sure we will all enjoy a week or so to take it easy and get things in order, do a few posts. When you return we can get serious and power forward.

Not too big of a problem really when you consider how insignificant a week is with this RP's pace. I might actually get around to another Af the imp side story post... maybe.

Sorry my post was so long, but I wanted to get all that stuff in to the one post. This post explains, to some extent, the behaviour of these Destruction Catalysts, including how they resist being thrown away or damaged.

UPDATE: New map, complete with Dungeons and more friendly scale. http://s25.postimg.org/50u62ise7/Globe_and_Map_Dungeons.png

Wheeee.
Clearly my best move, strategically, is to take over Xir'ain's dungeon.

I'm kinda dissapointed I wasn't able to post until now, it would've been fun writing my dungeon exploding. Still.

I'd wish Cyclone fun on his trip, but from the looks of it, he's already gone.

Also, sorry for low quality posting. It's late, but I felt guilty about not having written in so long. I was supposed to have more time to write, but I don't.

I'll still try to get another Ifrit post up sometime soon.
