(I AM SO SORRY FOR BEING LATE)

Amber's mother pulled up towards the camp in a minivan.

"It's for you're own good, sweety," her mother said for encouragement.

Amber turned her head to her mom. She nodded and gave a quiet "I know." She slowly got out of the car an gathered her things. She wanted to savor her last moments of freedom.

"Bye Mom. I love you," she said before leaving.

She walked towards what looked to be the main authority figure.

"Uh.. Hi. I'm Amber," she said softly.

Sal was late as fuck and she knew Zachary would be pissed.

She almost got caught by a cop on the way there. Sal jumped out of the car and ran towards where she saw Zac.

"Hey! Zac, so sorry I'm late."

A small quiet girl stood in front of them.

"Oh, hi. Name?" Sal asked.

"I'm Amber," the girl said barely above a whisper.

"Oh, cabin five is where you go, sweetie." Dal pointed in the direction of the cabin.

Amber quietly thanked her and walked towards her cabin.

Vikki went back to the kitchen to put away the left over brownies. After washing the platter she came back out to see Sal had shown up. With an amused grin she sent a slight wave, walking towards Zac and Sal. "Nice for you to finally show up", she said in a joking matter.
Karen nodded, "Well, we should try to make the best of it here" she said, finally breaking into a really slight grin. She shook off her shoes and lied sideways on the bed facing her other cabin mates. She didn't know why but she actually felt comfortable with these girls.
Glancing over at the last empty bed, she wondered what kind of girl would show up there.

Alex gave a shrug, and proceeded to light the end. "Do one of you guys have a knife? This stuffs still pretty potent, and I'm pretty sure the Hounds can smell it from here. And I rather not have one of them down my back. It would be safer if I hid it."

She gave a particularly long drag, and took it out of her mouth. She immediately exhaled, and then a grin appeared on her face as she took another hit. "Maybe this camp won't be so bad after all? The counselors are some dull idiots."

"So, what're you in for?" She asked the new recruit.

Amber walked by a group of other kids on her way to cabin 5. Hopefully they wouldn't notice her. He had gotten very good at becoming invisible.

She opened the door to find two girls on the floor with a bottle and one standing. Amber didn't like introductions with alcohol involved, but she might as well.

"Hi," she managed in a somewhat louder voice than normal. "I'm Amber."

Azure gave a timid wave to Amber before she plopped down onto her bed and grabbed her sketchbook and pencil case. She flipped to the drawing she was working on of a girl with wings flying through the clouds. She was almost done; the only thing left was for her to add details like the feathers on the wings and the city below the figure.

At least one of them doesn't seem to still be affiliated with illegal activities, Amber thought to herself as she watched Azure draw. She moved over to the lay empty bed and waved her suitcase on top. A thin film of dirt soared into the air and right to Amber's nose. Amber sneezed, covering her mouth and nose with her arm.

"Excuse me," she said meekly.

Azure nearly jumped a foot into the air and she let out a gasp at the sneeze came from the bed besides her own. She blushed bright red. She had been so focused on her drawing that she had forgotten that there were other people in the room and so the sudden noise had scared her. Sorry. She signed to her the blushed more when she realized that the girl probably didn't have a clue what she just said and scrambled for her white board.

Amber watched in confusion as the other girl signed something towards her. She frowned. Amber had a cousin who was deaf and offered her lessons, but she never took them up on the offer. At tht time, her heroin addiction was consuming all her emotions and time.

Amber gave a small genuine smile. She hasn't had one of those in a long time.

She felt it would be rude to ask if Azure was either a mute or a deaf person who could read lips, but she didn't want to run into that problem in the future.

"Do you mind my asking? I was just wondering if you're either deaf or mute."

Nick sat in the passenger seat, fuming over being forced to go to the camp. "Man, why do I have to go to this shit?" He said angrily to his mother, "You know why!" His mom snapped back, reaching over and slapping the boy on the arm. Now Nick was no saint, but he would never hit his momma back. He looked at the wonder, thinking over the past few weeks, in which he had been in three fights, and done more drugs then he could name, or remember.

They arrived at the camp, and Nick ducked out of the minivan, pushed the side door open and grabbed his bag. He received a look from his mom, and he grabbed a second bag, a smaller duffel bag. He grabbed both bags over his shoulder, and approached the entrance. "Yo dog." He said with a nod to Zac.

Marc parked in the front of the camp, left and locked his car and entered the camp, he tried to sneak past Zac, and made a beeline towards the kitchens.

Edward looked at the girl who was going to shake hands but she left quickly. He raised an eyebrow and laughed silently shaking his head. He sighed walking to a log somewhere and sitting down alone.

Alex looked blindly up at the ceiling, only letting her breaths out via a corner of her mouth. When the other girl came in, she sort of jumped a little, but she stayed how she was. Sitting Indian style, or criss-cross-apple-sauce which is what they called it when she was in Elementary. She waited until after the girl said something - Wait, wasn't her name Amber? - and gave a little cough. "Supish, bro? Sorry about the Mary's stench. Daily fix."

Trouble maker for sure, she pinned the label on him. She couldn't wait to catch him going against the rules. His first punishment would be scrubbing the urinals next to the mess hall.
