Vikki pulled out a folded list of the students from her pocket. "Alyssa, you're in cabin 3, and go tell your brother that he's in cabin 4" she said with a warm grin. From the corner of her eye, she could see Marc running in late as well.
She turned to Sal, "Let's go check up on the girls, if they're doing alright" she said eyeing the cabins.

Amber nodded towards Azure. At least she had one sort-of-friend at the camp.

"Gotcha, Vik," Sal said as she started towards the first girl's cabin. She knocked on the door. "Anyone inside?" She asked.

Azure gave Amber a smile. Do you need help unpacking? She wrote, showing the girl.

Alex looked over at her bed, thinking about if one joint would be enough for her. She'd already had one that morning, sure, but she did get on the floor. And people's feet and shoes were on the floor. And when she came in, the floor was dusty. Meaning, it wasn't cleaned. All of that seemed to make her a bit anxious, but due to a little 'help', oh man. She was off. Going to Mexico, and junk. Still, her eyes kept over to the bed. "The old dent is probably going to check me. We'll see whose the smartass, you bastard, find my stash.." She muttered.

Some of the bud was still burning, but most of it was charred, which left a bad taste in her mouth. She dug a tissue out and put it inside of it, squeezing it until the last ember went out.

Amber shook her head.

"No thank you, but it was kind of you to offer."

Effy had watch the girls interacting before her for sometime now. Their personalities were so distinct, none of them cookie cutter; it was a breath of fresh air compared to the bimbos at school.
"Sorry for just creepily watching. I just thought I would get a feel for you girls before I opened my big mouth." she said with a shrug. "Anyslut, care for a drink...uh, Amber was it?"

"Hey, Amber, is it, right?" Alex's voice seemed a bit dragged out. "Whats up, brah? Welcome to Map Imprave!"

A fixed expression was on her face, eyes big, full of thick red lines... Her mouth in this lopsided grin, and her now giving the new girl a thumbs up. Overall, a goofy face. Her eyes started to water a bit, and she was itching for some food. Good thing I didn't uncover the bank, or else, I'd be knocked out. She thought to herself. "How ya doing? Wait a second. Did I already say, 'hey'? Or no? Was it too late?"

Karen heard a knock from the door and looked over. Thinking it was the last girl, "Um, you can come in. It's open..." she said, slowly sitting up.

Vikki went over to the other girl cabin, cabin 5. "Girls, it's me Vikki. I'm coming in, alright?" she said slowly pushing the door open. She opened the door peeking her head in. "You guys doing fine?"she asked.

"AWWWH!" Alex screamed to the top of her longs. "DADDY OCTOPUS!"

She began to wiggle her arms, and produce a deep 'O' sound. "Get out!"

Effy quickly pushed the bottle of vodka under the bed, spinning around the face the intruder. Finally we get to meet the misfit sitter. she thought as she smiled up at Vikki. "Yeah, everything just just peachy!" she said her voice a little too cheery for the circumstances. She jumped up, rushing to slam the door before Alex could do anymore damage.

"Yes," Amber mumbled to all the questions, watching the girl on the floor go loopy. It brought back bad memories. When she was still on heroin, she would sometimes go to drug dens, telling her parents she was just going to a sleepover. They were basically sleepovers, but with drugs, no talking, and the threat of being caught.

Sal opened the door after she heard a girl reply.

"Hey, girls," she said as she looked around. One was lying on the floor looking around like everything was beautiful and not covered in dust, while the other had a chipper smile on her. "I am your nurse and one of the counselors here. Just obey all the rules and you'll have a wonderful time here." Sal could smell the smoke, but that was nothing to go on.

"Well, um, bye girls, dinner will be soon!" She gave as an awkward excuse to leave.

(Okay guys I am so confused at which cabin Sal is supposed to be in so she's just gonna flip between both)

Sal opened the door to the next cabin. (Cabin three)

"Hi ladies, my name is Sal, sorry you didn't meet me earlier, I came in late because I had an important errand to run. I am the nurse and a counselor here, so if you're ever hurt, come find me!"

Vikki could smell an unusual stench coming from the room before she was slammed out. She tried opening the door again, but it wouldn't budge after being locked out. 'I will definitely be checking on this cabin more often' she thought heading towards the kitchen.

Nathan sat in the back of his parents' van, lightly drumming his fingers on the arm rest of his seat. Every few seconds his eyes would drift to the digital clock on the dashboard. They were late. He let out a small sigh, but apparently that one gust of air contained too much attitude for his mother to handle. She turned her head to glare at him from where she sat in the passenger seat, lips set into a firm line. Nathan glanced back timidly, but could only hold her gaze for so long until he looked down and muttered an apology. He could practically feel her rolling her eyes as she turned back around.

Nathan resigned himself to staring out the window for the remainder of the silent ride to a Camp Improve. He remembered the first time he had gone to a summer camp, back in third grade. He'd felt a whirlwind of emotions then, but now he just felt indifferent. Numb, even. When they finally arrived, both his parents got out of the car to help him get his bags from the trunk. His father simply stared at him for a long moment, a stern yet disappointed look on his face, before handing him his bags and getting back into the car. His mother tried to be a bit more sentimental, but it felt forced, the way she gently wrapped an arm around him and mumbled "Get better," in his ear. Nathan simply nodded in response, and then they were gone.

He took in a shaky breath, trying to regain his composure. For the first time since his parents told him they were shipping him off to this camp for the summer, Nathan actually felt something about it. He was nervous as hell. He pulled on the sleeves of his jacket as he glanced around, unsure of where to go next. He caught sight of a trail and decided to follow it, slightly relieved when cabins and other camp structures came into sight. Once he'd reached the campgrounds, Nathan felt at a loss. "Where am I supposed to go?" he muttered under his breath, looking for a counselor, or anyone who seemed less lost than he was, really.

"Holy shit, I think I got possessed!" Alex joked. "That's not the weed talking - Shit!"

The truth is, halfway through her Octopus dance, she happened to hit her head on her bed's frame. It somehow managed to wake her up a little, just by a tiny bit, to let her know that she almost screwed up. Did screw up. She rubbed her head a little. "That was a close one. I do admit." She gave a short cough.

"Sorry, guys." The high still seemed to weigh down her voice. And she felt a bit shaky all over.

Amber watched the high deflate out of the girl. She knew how bad it felt for it to go away.

"What's your name?" She asked her. She might as well learn everyone's name.

Effy sat with her back propped up against the door, her body slumped in an exhausted manner. "Well, she's going to be a Debbie Downer." she said as she pushed herself into a more comfortable position. Absentmindedly, she began tracing the cigarette burns that littered her thighs; it was like playing a game of connect the dots, accept her skin had become the paper. "Anyone up for shots?"

"Alex. Alex Garey." She replied. "You guys are lucky. I almost got up, wiggled my legs around, and danced that way out of the door. I guess it's great how they sent the biggest dumbass to check on us, eh?"

Alex looked over at Effy. "Why not? Wait a sec, we could make it interesting. See who can take the most, and they win something."
