@Azathoth, accepted as always. @ActRaisertheReturned, if I'm reading this correctly, Atlan is the count of Bruma? I've no problem with this and I really like the potential, just want to be sure for my opening post. He's accepted, anyhoo.EDIT: And... you edited. :/ I hope you reconsider.

Alright, I'll remake the character, I just thought he didn't make sense. He was too old for his back story to make sense.

Character Sheet:

Name: Treads-Heavily
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Race: Argonian
Appearance:
Job: Mercenary
Equipment: Medium Armor, Plate Gauntlets, Steel Shield (MR), Ring (MR), 1H Elven Sword (Minor Burning), 2H Nordic Great-sword (Minor Freezing), Throwing knives, Potions and alchemical ingredients, 3 scrolls of Major Warding
Skills: Preferring not to get stuck in a situation he finds himself unable to defend himself, Treads-Heavily has acquainted himself with many forms of combat. Though proffering the use of a sword and shield (as he has found these to be the most reliable and versatile weapons) he is a capable archer and becomes a force to be reckoned with when wielding his great-sword. He prefers the use of medium armor as he finds it proves the best balance of mobility and protection.
He has bought books on herbology, teaching himself to cure most common poisons and ailments as well as craft healing potions. Though he has paid much to try and learn the arcane arts, he has difficulty casting the most basic of spells, as such he relies on his shield and a ring he'd had enchanted to help negate the effects of spells.

Personality: Treads-Heavily finds it difficult not aiding others, his selfishness often clashing with his reluctant compulsion to do good. Much to his annoyance when this often leads to him being drawn into conflicts he'd rather avoid altogether. He despises not knowing things, if he hears rumors of odd happenings in nearby areas or people disappearing, he'll often find himself investigating and being draw into yet another unwanted conflict.
Due to this, Treads-Heavily will learn all he can about a situation before becoming involved so as to ensure the best possible outcome. (And that he survives)
History: Treads-Heavily was orphaned shortly after his birth. He was adopted by an Arogonian merchant family and was raised by them. He spent a great deal of time reading stories of adventures and tales of heroes, when he was old enough he was given sword fighting lessons from a retired soldier paid for by his adoptive parents. At the age of 18 he ventured out with one of the caravans his parents had hired to move cargo inland from the coast. When he returned he discovered his parents had been murdered. A witness had seen the killer, an assassin, wearing the clothes of the Black Hand.
He's spent the last 10 years tracking down agents of the Black Hand, trying to find who discovered who'd paid to have his adoptive parents killed. Using the money generated by his parents trading company, he found information hinting at an assassination attempt at Bravil by the Black Hand. If he can find the assassin, he can find their base of operations in the area and finally find what he needs to bring justice to his parents.
Starting Point: Bravil

Name: Ana Stormcaller

Age: Fifty-Six

Gender: Female

Race: Nord

Job: Traveling Mage, Mediocre Healer, ex-Legion Veteran. The few septims that Ana is able to get by with is usually scraped up by using simple healing spells on the sick, or receiving a donation from Legionnaires who can recognize her. On a rare occasion, she can go kill some bandits or a troll for someone willing to pay, or tutor some kid in how to not set the family farm on fire.

Skills: Destruction (Master), Conjuration (Expert), One-Handed (Adept), Heavy Armor (Adept), Restoration (Apprentice)

Through several decades of study at the College of Winterhold, Ana has become a Master of the destruction school, though she has neglected learning any but the most basic of ice spells. In her free time, she studied up on Conjuration magic and would dabble in it. Once her mastery of destruction was in sight, she focused more on her Conjuration, until she became an Expert in summoning atronachs and daedra to serve her. Her time in the legion also gave her an Adept experience in both wielding One-Handed weapons, particularly swords, and wearing Heavy Armor over her robes. Once she was finished with the College, she picked up a little Restoration so that she could pay the inns, becoming little more than an Apprentice of the art.

Personality: Ana is a proud woman, mostly over her magical abilities. She considers herself a Master of Destruction, and would offended if anyone would say otherwise. She is also a zealous supporter of the Empire, and would just as soon kill someone who showed dissent as she would kiss an orc. Despite those hard traits, she still manages to be friendly with strangers, and, for the most part, is an agreeable person to be around. She tens not to be too vocal on her opinions, other than those on the Empire, and would prefer to stay quiet in a debate than voice her opinion. However, that doesn't mean she's peaceful; if insulted, she'd resort to fists, blade, and lightning before any peaceful negotiations.

History: The residents of Morthal had always feared magic, and that would never change. Ana's parents were no different, and once she was born, they prayed to the gods that their daughter wouldn't inherit any magical powers. And, for years, it seemed that they would get their wish. Unfortunately, at the age of four, they found their daughter setting fire to mudcrabs by the riverside. Mortified, they took her inside and consulted each other, and the Jarl, of what to do. In the end, they all agreed that there was only one course of action: Ana would need to be enrolled into Winterhold's College.

It was such a young age to be sent to the College. Most didn't go until they were old enough to think for themselves, and even then they usually waited until adulthood. However, many of the residents of the College accepted it on the basis that a child had been dropped on their doorstep with just a note and some clothes, and there was no way to send her back.

Ana showed a natural affinity for Destruction magic, able to cast basic spells by the age of six. However, her tutor, an older wizard who focused more on less destructive magics, tried to focus her into different areas. Unfortunately for him, she would have none of it. The two butt heads for the next two years, him refusing to teach her anything more destructive than summoning a small gout of flames, and her refusing to even attempt to learn anything else he attempted to teach. On the dawn of the third year of the conflict, Ana began to ignore her mentor altogether, and spent most of her time in the library, under the watchful eyes of Urag.

It was in this seclusion that she learned from the teachers of old, ancient dead who left their knowledge and wisdom in the depths of the many, many tomes in the Arcanaeum. Her method of practice was often on the rooftops of the College, where she would launch balls of flame and bolts of lightning into the sky, and lay down explosive runes. Though, she would sometimes forget that she set the runes, and would set them off by accident. This carelessness would often get her chided by her former mentor while one of the other students practiced his or her Restoration on her burned legs. This only made her want to master Destruction even more, to prove to him that she wasn't in over her head.

By the age of twenty-three, she'd become quite the expert on all things Destruction. Well, other than frost magic. She'd always figured Skyrim had enough cold, and so she'd merely learned the basics of manipulating ice and snow. So, with this, she set off to Solitude, and joined up with the Legion to become a battlemage. 'Course, this entailed a bit more than she expected. While she had the magical capabilities to be an exemplary battlemage, she lacked the ability to jump into a fray without magic. Thus, she was put through grunt training. Months of brutal, physical training, as she would describe it, she was finally fit enough and decent enough with sword and armor to be given the rank of green soldier.

Turns out, much of her early career was spent incinerating trolls, bandits, and the occasional vampire or necromancer that would rear its ugly head anywhere in Skyrim. It wasn't until the Civil War that she began to actually gain fame among the Legion. It was rumored that, when Ulfric escaped Solitude after the death of the High King, she'd scorched the streets with missed shots she'd taken at him. After that, she'd done all that she could to end the farce that posed as a crusade for freedom and justice. Any time that Rikke or Tulius had a dangerous mission to send someone on, she'd be one of the first to volunteer. When they were sent to recover the Jagged Crown, she'd let the charge against the draugr. In the defense of Whiterun, she'd stood on the walls, raining fire and death on the rebels.

She'd managed to participate in most of the major battles, and slaughtered any rebels that got in her way. Age, gender, reasons, she didn't care who they were, they would be put to the sword if captured or burnt to a crisp if meant on the field of battle. By the time she reached Windhelm with the rest of the Legion, her name was well known by the rebels as a merciless killer. She'd been disappointed in both that she wasn't able to take part in Ulfric's execution, and that most of the captured rebels were let off with a slap on the wrist.

Once her time was done, she parted with the Legion on good terms, and returned to the College. The next few years were spent furthering her already broad knowledge of Conjuration, and then it was spent in seclusion, honing her Destruction to the point where no one could call it flawed. It was in these hours of seclusion atop the College that Ana summoned up a whirlwind of white hot fire. Unfortunately, it was much larger than she'd anticipated, and the fire spilled down into the courtyard, nearly setting ablaze several apprentices.

After that, she was forced to pack up her things and leave the College for good. She slowly worked he way around Skyrim, employing herself as a mercenary against several bandit clans for the Jarls, though more often than not she'd end up using her poor Restoration magic to heal some peasant of his sickness or to close that cut he'd given himself when his skinning knife slipped. Eventually, she came to be in the city of Bruma, and not a week later the Legion showed up, telling of the terrible fate that had befallen the Imperial City. And that was when she'd first learned of the Dominion's attack on the Empire.

As the staunch supporter of the Empire, she volunteered to once again take up sword and fire in the name of the Emperor, and to fell the enemies of the Empire as only a zealous mage could.

I should point out that there is a bit of an imbalance. Seems like Bruma has almost double the characters.

Come on people, you know you'd rather breath the dank stench of fetid canal water and untreated sewage than some retched crisp mountain air.

@Athos, he sounds like an asshole. I love him.

@Fatal Error, probably carrying one too many weapons. Despite the weight-load being amazingly good in skyrim (a full set of plate armour and 3 ebony battle-axes, no problem!) I'm going for a more realistic equipment weight and distribution method. The two-handed sword, the shield and the bow are usually held on the back when not in use. So cut one of them and I'll let the other two slide.

@Pyro V, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with anyone knowing the thu'um for what could arguably be said is the strongest shout. Only greybeards have knowledge of the thu'um, and they sacrifice their ability of speech to learn it. Please cut that part out, and she'll be fine.

I love orcs. She sounds good, but a little young for someone who was in the rebellion. Maybe increase her age a bit? Besides that she's fine. Accepted.
