Mount and Blade Warband one of the best games ever is currently on sale of steam for $5 and now has a workshop. It is well worth the small investment and I highly advise picking up this phenomenal game and support the developer who is currently producing it's sequel.

yep, it just so almost none are there yet and it seems a bit buggy at the moment with not putting files in the right place.

Give it time. I had a mod that let me ride a dinosaur, and another mod that had Caldaria get invaded by a horde of whooping barbarians who completely annihilated the Khergits.
I can wait with my Swadian knights.
There was a pretty okay GoT mod online, but I didn't play it too too much.
