I would assume by and large its a human population, my company alone employs some 35000 people who live in MFC, ofc as operations expand more people are shipped in, actual colonies would be much larger i assume at least.

At first, Earth Gov was able to keep control of the newer colonies, whether through international bodies or their own governments, the colonies relied on them for new people, supplies, and terraforming gear. Eventually, though, many of them grew bitter of their ‘distant rulers’, and the separatist thoughts took root.
Though some of them earned their independence through peace, the majority of the new interstellar nations fought tooth and nail with the Old Earth Alliance, and the price of war across the stars grew too great to bear. One by one, the gained their freedom, and with it Old Earth faded from the spotlight as new nations arose in the void. But Earth would not simply give up its dreams of a unified galaxy. Not without a fight.
The new factions would never allow direct intervention of colonies of Old Earth to be set up close to them, for that would invite Earth Gov to begin dictating system policy. Instead, the nations of Earth began sending ‘colonial’ expeditions across the galaxy, apparently independently funded but in reality backed by Old Earth forces. Drawn from the ranks of Loyalists and die-hard ‘Earthers’, these colonies are to be the foothold of Earth in the farthest reaches of space.
This is what brought Rori Noret to the planet of Dacyira. A remote, habitable planet in an unexplored part of the galaxy, the planet of Dacyira also happens to be a strategic location in striking distance of several ‘anti-Earth’ systems. The orders that Rori has are quite clear; whether through force of arms, sabotage, or diplomacy, the planet Dacyira must be at least partially subservient to Earth if the Naasu Sector is to be pacified.
Civilian Assets:
Owing to the direct but secret aid of Earth, the civilians, what few of them are present, live in prefabricated housing complexes deployed from orbit by the initial colony ships. While not as stylish as some of the other colonies houses, the complexes are easily maintained and provide most of the comforts a colonist may need. Except a colorful environment, as paint isn’t cost effective.
Civilian transport and other amenities also follow this pattern; they are often bulky, but energy efficient things that some might call “tasteless”, but a Raechan colonist can almost always claim (or boast) that his/her transport hasn’t yet given in to the elements since orbital drop.
Military Assets:
As a primarily military operation, the members of the Colonial Forces might say they get the “flashy” equipment. Regardless, the Army, Navy, and Intelligence Office have a variety of tools at their disposal.
Commanded by Alfonso Giovanni, the C.S.S. Redemption is a modified Deliverance-class Frigate, an older Earth design that is still used by various organizations. Re-purposed for Colonization Efforts, she lost the majority of her weapon systems, save her missile launchers and multi-barreled rail cannons. The Redemption still has her armor, and the point defense systems that have made the class famous in service.
With the reduced weapons compliment, the Redemption was able to hold an additional number of civilian and military personnel, along with needed prefab gear. She wasn’t the only ship, however, and was joined by two others of her class, and a dozen Harbinger-class Corvettes and an assortment of gunships.
The land-based Colonial Forces are led by Colonel Sofia Zaytesev, in control of the 1st Raeche Colonial Regiment and the two thousand soldiers who follow her. Strict but fair, Colonel Zaytesev makes use of her limited infantry forces with her armored forces, namely the ‘Firestorm’ MBT. Partially based off of Old Earth designs, the Firestorm is nevertheless a deadly tank capable of dealing damage as much as it is taking it. Never subtle, a Firestorm Squadron can be heard for miles, and this alone has been enough to scare off more than one Native attack.

Scavenged Vehicles
Nearly all of the Underground’s current supply of vehicles are scavenged, rag-tag, and still functioning only by dint of mechanical ingenuity, coming in poor quality and quantity. Their vehicles come from the ships they came in on, and have seen many years of use and maintenance, using whatever parts could be found to keep them functional. They may once have had a standard design, but over time they have been changed and customized so much that nearly every vehicle the Underground owns is unique in some way. While the Underground does have a number of factories, their industrial base is rather small, and the quality of any vehicles produced is roughly the same as those they currently have. These vehicles range from ATVs, poorly armored and smoke chugging APCs, and even a few VTOLs and heavy lifting aircraft, though fuel for such flying craft is in poor supply.
The Militia
The military arm of the Underground, the Militia is poorly equipped, lacks proper discipline, and is only barely organized by dint of what few deserters that have joined the Underground. There is no real standard equipment for the Militia, though upon graduation of basic training, all Militia members are afforded a rifle of whatever kind is on hand, and a basic suit of full-body. Additional pieces of equipment can be requisitioned or obtained through personal means, with the requisitioning of supplies being handled by necessity and availability due to the lack of available supplies. Not everyone within the Militia is so poorly equipped though. While the Militia is lacking in many things, they are not intended to fight an enemy on equal footing. Instead, they rely on guerilla tactics, using their knowledge of the land around them to make life a living hell for anyone who would face them. There are a dangerous few whom the Underground has seen fit to be equipped with the best of what they have, given powered exoskeletons to be worn over their armor, and are given first pick of any and all supplies available. Called the Frontier Force, these men and women make up the Underground’s Special Forces.
The Rampart
Considered the capital city of what little the Underground currently holds, the city of Rampart is the landing site of the ship the Underground came to this planet upon. The vessel now serves as a both a fortress and the seat of power, while an entire city has sprung up around it. Major efforts have been taken to camouflage the city, and it is located in a rather isolated location on Dacyira’s surface. The Rampart’s armored hull makes for a sturdy wall, while what few weapons that remain online makes for excellent artillery, making the Rampart, if it should ever be discovered, the most well defended location under the Underground’s hold.

They slowly began to grow as they accepted people of all kinds, from criminals, to deserters, to the discontent masses. As long as you had an axe to grind with the government, you were welcome to the Underground. Just about everyone within the Underground, save for the children, have a mark on their head for one reason or another. The Underground’s acceptance of just about anyone and everyone obviously began to draw the ire of, well… just about anyone and everyone. The Underground was soon whittled down to size, and what few survivors that were left, fled onboard their only surviving vessel, the Rampart.
After a long journey, the Underground was short on supplies and fuel, and simply by chance, came upon the world of Daycira years before its general discovery. Deeming it a suitable place to set down roots in as they had pretty much nowhere else to go, they landed the Rampart down on the planet’s surface, and from there they began to rebuild, though only after a civil conflict due to differences in how to lead the colony. The Underground is currently in the process of creating its own governmental system, while an Interim President currently manages affairs. Ever afraid of being discovered, the Underground has kept the site of its new fledgling colony remote and well hidden, but with the arrival of so many others, it may be only a matter of time before they are found.

Brief History of the Colonial State of New Earth/Novayagrad/Grand Dixie/Guang Han/etc
New Earth, also known as Novayagrad, Grand Dixie or Guang Han depending who answers (originally called New Earth by its actual founder) was an intensely multicultural and multi-ethnic colonization project founded by the eccentric trillionaire James Robinsong who wanted to recreate every historical earthen state and culture within a colonial setup far from the eyes of Earths government, who he saw as a horribly obstructive and culture-destroying apparatus.
Deemed an impossible and obviously futile project, James surprisingly succeeded in building his "New Earth" city and inviting many different peoples to this frontier outpost. Despite his original goal of having every culture and people represented, he ended up with a monopoly of mostly American, Russian and Chinese people, who each came to call the colonial city a different name and often called him "Mr Earth Governor" for his eccentric rule of the city often being seen by them as a sign that he wished to one day rule Earth itself.
As the city grew in importance and became somewhat of a news sensation back on Earth, Earthern detractors summed it up as "Crazy historical reenactors building a city to role-play nationalistic fantasy". Though at the time mostly harmless, Earth and New Earth became bitter if clearly unequal rivals.
This harmless fun eventually went out the window when the near by star systems around Dacyira declared independence, dragging the otherwise distant separatist war to New Earths backdoor. The combination of New Earths anti-federal stance and slights against Earths government combined with the Earth governments cynical assessment of New Earths nationalistic population (Which they extrapolated would join the revolution against them in merely a decades time) resulted in Robinsong's eventual arrest as a potential collaborator and sympathizer of the separatist cause.
Once a common joke among the people of New Earth that Robinsong would one day get arrested for "Claiming to be the true ruler of Earth", the realization that it actually happened was a dramatically severe event for the people which would lead them down the path of militarism and actual separatism.
The colonists opened up secret relations with the Systems Underground and other dissident movements, plotting ways to get back at the government they now despised (Robinsong was a very popular man, considered a founding father and "Eccentric Emperor of the Universe", many claimed he was the spirit of Emperor Norton reincarnated). Even when Earth sent its new replacement magistrate and a task force to police the colony, the colonists remained dedicated to rejecting Earth.
Dissidence and urban stree fights continued during this waiting period... Until Robinsong's arrest was finally broadcast across all of humanities colonies, charged with High Treason, Conspiracy to commit treason and collaboration with separatists. This was the final straw, and the population of Robinsongs city decided mere dissidence and talks with the underground was NOT ENOUGH.
Plotting to perform a civilian coup within the next few months, after hearing from the magistrate that there were plans of forming an "Absolutely loyal" pro-earth colony of "Raeche", the civilian council and various organizations decided they needed help. First they enlisted help from the colonies highest ranking military commander. Despite being retired and officially a citizen, Roman Yugantsev was obviously in charge of the colonies military to anyone who had been there for more than two years. A former colonel who was extremely respected amongst both the soldiers and colonists, he was originally posted in this backwater for rumors about possible separatist connections, in reality baseless conjecture based around the fact he was a die-hard reactionary who pinned for the old days of the ancient "Russian Empire". Roman eventually accepted the civilian councils request of help, swearing to protect "Novoyagrad" from foreign oppressors and exploiters. He stated he would perform a military coup on the magistrate if the council could build connections with the actual separatists, as he believed only the rebels would have the military strength to protect them after they performed the coup.
And so, the coup was launched. Within just 3 hours Col.Yugantsev mobilized the colonies military forces against the Magistrate and the foreign military police, securing the government building, Robinson Manor, the space port, media station, power plant and other important infrastructure. In just three brief hours, an intense firefight between the Earthen military police and Colonial military resulted in high casualties and eventual deployment of armoured units.
Shortly after the coup, Roman was declared unanimously the magistrate by the civilian council to the mass cheering of crowds in the streets. Roman declared on a open broadcast that the people of Novayagrad had overthrown their oppressors and would fight until the end to secure the release of James Robbinsong, who Roman declared "Emperor"(Untranslated, actually "Tsar") of Dacyira.
Since then, the "Empire" of Dacyira to acquire help with its military campaign on the planet the civilian council was able to connect Magistrate Yugantsev with the Separatist forces through the Underground.
Now, as the war for Dacyira's independence rages on and the colonists are forced to join the rebels they were accused falsely of being, Both Earth and the Separatists prepare grand fleets and armies to be sent towards the wayward colony world... In a few years, these fleets will be upon the planet and each other, and it will be this conflict that decides if the Empire of Dacyira was able to prepare itself for survival in the galaxy.

Brief History of the Colonial State of New Earth/Novayagrad/Grand Dixie/Guang Han/etc
New Earth, also known as Novayagrad, Grand Dixie or Guang Han depending who answers (originally called New Earth by its actual founder) was an intensely multicultural and multi-ethnic colonization project founded by the eccentric trillionaire James Robinsong who wanted to recreate every historical earthen state and culture within a colonial setup far from the eyes of Earths government, who he saw as a horribly obstructive and culture-destroying apparatus.
Deemed an impossible and obviously futile project, James surprisingly succeeded in building his "New Earth" city and inviting many different peoples to this frontier outpost. Despite his original goal of having every culture and people represented, he ended up with a monopoly of mostly American, Russian and Chinese people, who each came to call the colonial city a different name and often called him "Mr Earth Governor" for his eccentric rule of the city often being seen by them as a sign that he wished to one day rule Earth itself.
As the city grew in importance and became somewhat of a news sensation back on Earth, Earthern detractors summed it up as "Crazy historical reenactors building a city to role-play nationalistic fantasy". Though at the time mostly harmless, Earth and New Earth became bitter if clearly unequal rivals.
This harmless fun eventually went out the window when the near by star systems around Dacyira declared independence, dragging the otherwise distant separatist war to New Earths backdoor. The combination of New Earths anti-federal stance and slights against Earths government combined with the Earth governments cynical assessment of New Earths nationalistic population (Which they extrapolated would join the revolution against them in merely a decades time) resulted in Robinsong's eventual arrest as a potential collaborator and sympathizer of the separatist cause.
Once a common joke among the people of New Earth that Robinsong would one day get arrested for "Claiming to be the true ruler of Earth", the realization that it actually happened was a dramatically severe event for the people which would lead them down the path of militarism and actual separatism.
The colonists opened up secret relations with the Systems Underground and other dissident movements, plotting ways to get back at the government they now despised (Robinsong was a very popular man, considered a founding father and "Eccentric Emperor of the Universe", many claimed he was the spirit of Emperor Norton reincarnated). Even when Earth sent its new replacement magistrate and a task force to police the colony, the colonists remained dedicated to rejecting Earth.
Dissidence and urban stree fights continued during this waiting period... Until Robinsong's arrest was finally broadcast across all of humanities colonies, charged with High Treason, Conspiracy to commit treason and collaboration with separatists. This was the final straw, and the population of Robinsongs city decided mere dissidence and talks with the underground was NOT ENOUGH.
Plotting to perform a civilian coup within the next few months, after hearing from the magistrate that there were plans of forming an "Absolutely loyal" pro-earth colony of "Raeche", the civilian council and various organizations decided they needed help. First they enlisted help from the colonies highest ranking military commander.
