Oh. Oh my. I...uh....meant to do that once your character has actually become that class. So, for now, Kristoph would just be a Tactician. Then when he promoted, Tactician>Grandmaster. Then if he changed to Dark Knight later on, Tactician>Grandmaster>Dark Knight. I am not good at expressing things.

The only question, which also seems to have been raised previously in this thread, is why did he suddenly become a Dark Knight? Simon is accepted with no problems.

Because Vincanity told me that's what Grandmasters can do? He said they could adapt themselves to another class to fill a role, and I chose Dark Knight because... it seemed like the most versatile class I could go for outside of Magic Flier.

So wait, are Grandmasters not allowed to shift into another class now?

Hmmm. I'll take a look into it, and more specifically, lore-wise, why'd he suddenly gain a horse and learn dark magic?

Grandmasters (in this canon) can use all forms of magic. From the OP:

Grandmaster (Sword, Anima, Light, Dark) [Ability to Learn a new class] Brings strategy and able to Rally allies when on the field of battle

I know, and I approved it. Apologies, but I think I'm going to strike that from the class abilities while taking a good hard look over the rest of the classes.

Edit: Due to the reasons that I provided Freeshooter, I've struck Dark Magic from the Dark Knight and Grandmaster Classes, leaving it exclusive to purely casters because of it's variety of uses. This leaves us with:

Grandmaster(Sword, Anima, Light)
Dark Knight(Anima, Sword)

This is also more in line with how the games represent Elder Magic anyway. It's always treated as an exceptionally exclusive art that takes years of dedication just to get 'decent' at it. You can't just pick it up as a hobby later in life like you can Anima Magic. Even in Awakening, which was very lenient in its abilities, Elder Magic was still restricted to Dark Mages and Sorcerers only (Just ignore Aversa, she's a super special snowflake villain). Despite their names, Dark Fliers and Dark Knights (as well as the versatile Grandmasters) could only use Anima Magic, not Elder Magic.

Fuck.

Okay... Ahh... hrm... well, I'll adapt then. How about this? Better raw stats and more interesting offensive powers in exchange for versatility. By killing strong opponents he buffs his buddies offensively and makes it harder for his foes to escape. In addition, being a scary motherfucker is perfectly explainable.

Reaver Lord[Axes] His terrifying presence on the battlefield strikes fear into the hearts of his foes while inspiring his allies. Few can escape him.
Sunder: Felling a defending promoted opponent reduces nearby opponents' mobility from the sheer brutality of their friend/ally's death. The effect is greater on mounted units (The animal is freaked out) but nonexistant on heavy armored units (Can't see shit past ten feet).
Rally Assault: Felling a defending promoted opponent raises Strength, Speed, Magic, and Skill by 3 for all nearby allies temporarily, as the particularly gruesome manner in which his foe was dispatched eases their fears.
Armored, takes doubled damage from magic. High (though not exceptional, he won't out-punch berserkers or out-notdie generals) Strength, defense, and HP. Average skill, luck, and mobility(6). Below average speed and resistance (compounded by the doubled damage).
Cannot use ranged axes.

This might seem like a dick thing to say, but why not: instead of trying to make characters with interesting abilities, make characters who are interesting.

You're putting a lot of gaming mechanics into that character.

This is going nowhere fast....

And yes, you're right. He's putting a bit too much game mechanics into it. To be fair, he might just be describing what the class would be like in-game, as he seems to be well aware that this RP isn't a turn-based strategy game.

Don't worry, I'm working on it as we speak.

As for the gaming mechanics in Freeshooter's post, I don't mind them as the character seems a lot more balanced now. I'm open for a CS from him.

I'm considering having Hark walk by, unaware that they were sparring, simply seeing an unarmed younger woman doubled over, and a man standing over her. Naturally Hark assumes the worst. Hmmm...
